Fix Your Posture with Calisthenics! - TikTok Compilation

  • By request, I'll start uploading some TikTok compilations onto TH-cam. Not everyone has the TikTok app and some prefer to view it here.
The videos ARE in vertical. I apologize if this bothers you. All TikTok videos are viewed in vertical. If this video does well, I'd be happy to redo the premise by re-filming entirely.
However, TH-cam should have immersive vertical view, so if you're on mobile, you should be able to view it in vertical without a problem. Simply hit full-screen and don't turn your phone.
The first video addresses hunched shoulders and underused mid-back muscles with the wall slide.
The second video aims to help fix the all-too-common "tech neck" and rounded shoulders.
The third video gives suggestions on dealing with anterior pelvic tilt! I also touch on the less-common posterior pelvic tilt.
The fourth video gives some stretches to keep our joints healthy and regenerating-very important to good posture!
The fifth video gives some stretches that serve to "warm up" our posture.
I hope it helps! Let me know and have a beautiful day.

Hey everyone! This is a compilation of older videos. There are a few things I'd change and phrase differently, but I'll leave this up!
These are just the exercises that worked well for me. They may or may not be the fix to your problems. However, all of the main exercises represent movements and postures that I believe a healthy human should be able to do. So if you can't do them, it may still be worthwhile to build up.
If you have doubts or questions, feel free to ask your doctor, physical therapist, or other medical professional, before trying. When in doubt, there's no need to do it!

Hey hampton! These exercises actually work wonder for me. Within days my body that was leaning a bit forward before has started to stand up straight. I did not expect it to happen this soon but I guess since my posture problem werent too severe before I did not need to wait long for my posture to recover. Thank you and I hope you have a very nice day!

if you redo this series you should emphasize that when you say "back flat against the wall" it's actually possible to have your whole back touch the wall, when I started out I misunderstood you because I honestly didn't think it was possible to have my back flat against the wall, and other people might have a similar problem
now I can tho, so thanks! but only when I tense my abs and glutes

    • @seekNdestroy217

For the first posture exercise is bad if there a gap at the lower back portio ? Or should it also be touching the wall?

@@seekNdestroy217 completely flat, like your back is a straight line. I couldn't do it at first, you need to flex your glutes and abs. I wasn't flexing my abs properly, apparently your stomach should be sucked in when flexing abs, not just tensed up. took me a few weeks of planks and doing stuff from this video to get my back completely flat, but it's possible

I love how he makes these videos short and crisp and sticks to the point.
    1. Describes the problem
    2. Presents the solution
    3. Builds anticipation about obstacles you might face and presents a solution for them too
    4. Constantly motivates you through the entire process
No long introduction and none of that story telling bs that you see in most of the content on TH-cam.
    I appreciate your work mate.

      Well put.
These are good steps to remember for presenting information in general.
Lastly, nothing wrong with storytelling. This gets to the core question: why?
But since anyone looking for exercise instructions already found their answer, I agree that they are misplaced there.

I feel so upset at some fitness gurus using self-hate as a motivation. Just like steroids, it might give you results or lifelong health problems and a crippling addiction. Body-building should always be about physical and mental health. Body positivity goes hand-and-hand with body-building.

Dude I really get what you mean
I have these really low months where my brain’s like “never eat. Starve to death.” And I feel like a piece of shit whenever there’s anything in my stomach. I also become obsessive over exercise when I’m like that, to a degree where it’s simply self harm. Usually the stop-eating voice is just an annoyance at the back of my mind, easily tuned out. But when I’m like that, it’s like there isn’t any other voice. Last time it happened though, the things that Hampton say in his videos were a little voice of sanity in the back of my mind. Still easily tuned out unfortunately but there nonetheless which is better than I can usually say
