I love how nrs seem to forget that scorpion is a SPECTRE not a revenant
Exactly! You'd think they would've done their homework on the fact that Spectres and Wraiths powers are associated with the Netherrealm, while Revenants keep their powers, but are amplified. In this timeline, all 3 seem to have the same meaning, which is confusing.

@@sauwensvk7589 I think it was made up. He was heavily retconned too. First he was Shao’s general. Next thing, u know he’s locked up in Shang’s flesh pits as Kotal was a threat to Shao’s empire. Then they retconned the fact that he tried to kill the kombat kids and said he was aiding them in defeating Shinnok, after that, his ridiculous relationship with jade and after that, he’s a racist to tarkatans.

It was weird seeing a MK game without Quan Chi. I'm surprised he didn't return in the story in 11. Especially considering that he was still alive in that timeline. I'm hoping he's in the new one💯
I was shocked that they didn’t bring back Quan Chi knowing he’s a fan favorite, has been a big part of this game for over 2 decades, and I feel he would’ve fit in since he was a servant of Shinnok who’s mom is the main antagonist and could’ve been brought back to serve Kronika.

I will never understand the logic of the Time Merger that happened in Mortal Kombat 11. Considering that the merger happened during the Outworld Tournament, but before Shao Kahn kills Kung Lao, this would mean that certain characters like Quan Chi should've been present and alive during this point in time. So why didn't a past version of Quan Chi arrive in the present day?
Yes and no because if you remember raiden said kung Lao had just beat shang tsung and quan chi but in after math shang was sent to void we actually don't know what happened to him

Not technically. Without Quan Chi, there's no way to restore Liu Kang and the other revenants.

@@Prince-Shogun he restored Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Jax. But he didn't restore the other revenants. However, their past selves did learn of their horrid fates and were able to prevent them.

In the aftermath story in Shao Kahn's chapter, I would have loved to see him kill Quan Chi.

If that was Quan Chi’s past self that was brought to the future and if he were to cross paths with Shao Kahn and Sindel during their chapter in the aftermath’s story, Shao Kahn and Sindel would kill Quan Chi and not just that, the revenants he would have created in the future would simply cease to exist when Shao Kahn kills him and Kronika would be at a disadvantage after losing the only remaining allies she has, not just losing her crown.
