@M Salahuddin Ayyubi Because prior to the events, Quan Chi met Bi Han and Hanzo Hasashi and asked both of them, at different times and places, to recover a powerful scroll. Quan Chi actually planned it to set them up to kill each other and whoever ended up dead would become Quan Chi's revenant. That's how Scorpion came to be.

I mean, Quan Chi massacred his family and clan while claiming it was Sub Zero. I’d be pretty damn pissed if Quan Chi killed my family while putting the blame on someone who’s innocent.
Originally in MKX, Quan Chi was the only one who could restore the revenants back to their living human forms. Since he’s dead, it is impossible. Until MK11 aftermath showed us that there are methods to revive the revenants, not just Quan Chi’s magic. The combination of the Soul Chamber in Outworld and the power of Earthrealm’s Jinsei combined has revived Sindel as a human again. If that’s the case it is also possible to resurrect the other revenants using that Method. Raiden and Fujin, and the other sorcerers such as Shang Tsung would have to work together and round up all of the revenants one at a time and use The combination of soul chamber and Jinsei to restore them. They would have had no need for Quan Chi after all.
They need someone like Quan Chi or Shang Tsung, an expert with soul magic. Now in Aftermath with Shang Tsung, they can restore Sindel. In the past, Raiden used his power with the revenant's machine of Quan Chi. Then they used the Shang Tsung's power with the jinsei's liquid (like Raiden's power)
Not entirely. Kotal Kahn even said that Necromancy is Forbidden by Outworld Law. I’m pretty sure it would be fairly hard to lure in a Revenant or sneakily attack the Revenants and try and save them without fueling a War with the Netherealm in the process. The only reason they were able to capture and ‘free’ Sindel was because they had killed Nightwolf, the other known Revenant that was in Hell during the events of MK11’s climax. And because the other Revenants were occupied making way for easy access and easy exit with the body of Sindel to free her. (Stryker and Smokes whereabouts are unknown so nothing can be said on them). Also, they had a very powerful Sorcerer on their side to assist them. Which is why they possibly needed Quan Chi in the first place to help, since Shang Tsung was lost and Quan Chi was already in their custody. A theory of mine is that during Sindels time in the soul chamber, the souls had corrupted her and made her think the way she did, with the help of Shang Tsung manipulating them along the way. So there is the issue of Mind Corruption when time has been spent there. Back to the point of Necromancy being forbidden. I’m fairly sure Kotal not Shao Kahn would permit the use of the soul chamber to revive one of their allies or Sindel who in Kotal’s eyes was a very evil being. So yeah overall, it wasn’t that easy, and I’m almost certain given the circumstances, using Quan Chi was the much easier option.
@@whatsthematter4651 my theories on smoke and stryker is that they are both dead. technically smoke has been dead as in mkx the revenant says he is “Enenra”. while stryker is just not seen anywhere and is possibly dead or got stuck in between the time merger. yea his past self didnt appear at all but maybe his revenant got stuck in the time merger and his past self was already dead or just didnt get sucked in the time merger. idrk but this is my theory on smoke and stryker
@@J_jae I'm not sure how Stryker would get stuck in the time merger. The concept of a character being stuck in between the fabrics of space and time is extremely interesting, especially for a game like Mortal Kombat which has little Science Fiction representation.

Spectre: Resurrected souls attached to the Netherrealm
Revenant: Basically a reanimated and manipulated corpse
They also don’t look similar. The former can be killed but will later come back in the Netherrealm, Revenants if killed don’t. As well as this: Spectres and wraiths are angry souls, but can still stop being angry, they can develop a clear conscience. Revenants can not

I like how Kabal mentions he tried a face turn and it didn't work out for him. For those who don't know face turn in wrestling is when a bad guy turns good like how Kabal left the Black Dragon to pursue being a cop with Stryker. A heel turn would be the opposite from good to bad.
