Beautiful tribute to Sule. Thanks for being such a positive light out there. Really enjoy your insight and race break downs. Well done. Looking forward to the next Impossible route.
Thanks for helping Ryan! He was a little man when his dad and a bunch of our buddies (all from MN) did Leadville in 2015. We are proud of all of his hard work and riding with you (and the help you offered) was definitely a highlight of his 2022 Leadville!
Bravo...not many would sacrifice a few positions to help another rider! Your deed was over the top, not only for the lad, but to show the rest of us...there's more to racing than just the racing! Well done sir!!!
Great footage as always JB, I love the flowy section and all the footage you added of SULE, great tribute to him, I raced with before and such a beautiful (and super strong) human!! He will be missed so well done JB!!
I have a place near the race route in Twin Lakes. Loved the footage from Pipeline and Columbine. So lucky that I can ride those trails from my home. Did the race 4 times but now just love riding in those beautiful mountains. Thanks for the perspective and your love of riding.
Jeremiah that's such a good story that at the end where you're helping that kid and you made his day even though your day wasn't great I'm sure you had a f****** great day
Leadville was the hardest thing I ever did on a bike. 8 hours non-acclimated is still great. I didn't acclimate correctly either and it really makes your day so bad. You're a total legend! I remember seeing you race in Waco, TX in the AMBC series way back in the day against guys like Roland Green.
Awesome job capturing the feel and the vibe of the race - not an easy thing to do while racing the race (I tried to do that with SM100 2020 recap video) … thanks for sharing!
What a great video. I really love the shot selection, music, cutting and JB's taste and wisdom is refreshing. The salute to Sule descent was just simply the bomb. So I'm in the lottery for the first time this year and hoping I get a spot. Was tempted from what I'd heard some say to bring my gravel bike since my Mtb is sooo old (1997) and a lot of it was said to be old-school mtb fire roads. But after seeing this I think maybe I'll reconsider (and make a couple weeks out of staying at altitude lol.) A great excuse to finally drop the dime on a new steed. Got the Canyon Lux CFR Team in my dreams!
wow, the solo track part was amazing... never rode gravel let alone this sort. very high skill level needed as well as fitness. Hard to imagine riding in a group with all of those rocks!!! bravo sir. good you helped another rider too
Such a classy move from a very well respected veteran of the sport. You also made me feel better about myself by having to hike-a-bike that steep section of Powerline. That was the worst part of my day last year.
5:25 ! The news a few days after the race is so sad! I was kinda shocked to see 6 hours wilth virtually no trading pulls for most of the second half....I was racing the Year you guys pushed it to Alban being Sub 6 and I guess its crazy to think someone can hit 6 hours mostly solo
Yeah I was really moved meeting Sule he was a true leader and racing with him and capturing him in flight in this clip was special. Keegan is a beast, former rookie teamate of mine, his performance doubling SBT and Leadville was absolutely World class. That guys lives for high altitude climbing races!
Awesome ride. A great thing you did to help that younger rider with his flat. You are a great example for cyclists. Pedal on and pedal safe. Btw, I have a friend of mine that I ride gravel with that use to race against you. He just finished his eighth TNGA
Dylan Johnson was trying to explain why you wouldn't want to attempt this race on a gravel bike, and the video evidence presented here bolsters that argument beautifully!
Don't get hung up on not having your acl. I haven't had mine since I was 16 and I'm 46 now. It doesn't effect your riding at but but if you are a runner at all, it will effect that. Good job on Leadville and thanks for being an inspiration to so many people.
Road riding yes but in mountain bike races we carry the bike, crash now and then and post a foot if you slide out in a corner. Stoked I can do what I can! Certainly more than I thought!
Awesome work and great video! What bars? are you running on your Lux. I just recently got a Lux Trail and lovinggg it! and looking to upgrade handle bars soon from what came stock on the bike. Thanks!
That young man will remember the time when JB helped him with his flat tire for the rest of his life and possibly pay-it-forward when he’s in that same exact position later on in his life also.
That section of the single track without music riding behind Sule was heartwarming. What a tribute.
Beautiful tribute to Sule. Thanks for being such a positive light out there. Really enjoy your insight and race break downs. Well done. Looking forward to the next Impossible route.
I saw that😢. What happened? Was it mountain biking?
Thanks for helping Ryan! He was a little man when his dad and a bunch of our buddies (all from MN) did Leadville in 2015. We are proud of all of his hard work and riding with you (and the help you offered) was definitely a highlight of his 2022 Leadville!

That uncut singletrack section with no music was just what I needed this morning. Thanks JB
Way to give Sule a solid part in this video. Very cool of you to do. Says a lot about your character.
Inspiring. RIP SULE
The BEST video I’ve seen so far of the 2022 race. The moment with Sule was perfect …
"A celebration of being healthy, being fit." Yep. Exactly. It was good to see you out celebrating at SM100 also. 👊🏻💥
That's really awesome that you helped that kid. Very selfless, and made his day. Your a boss!!
Love the message “celebrate being healthy and fit”
Thanks for including me in this video! @0:47
You are a good soul! Way to help out a fellow rider in a race! Speaks volumes about your character ❤
Rest In Peace Sule. Am from Kenya and Sule was our hero. Thanks for the nice tribute JB
Great footage as always JB, I love the flowy section and all the footage you added of SULE, great tribute to him, I raced with before and such a beautiful (and super strong) human!! He will be missed so well done JB!!
Beautiful tribute to Sule with the extended uncut single track section in the middle.
You are a legend JB!!!
I’ve always loved your attitude toward racing and life which often times are the same thing. Great vid JB!!
Those moments behind Kangangi ... Magical!
You’re the man JB! You inspire me to get out and train! I WILL do the Leadville 100 in the next 3 years.
Brilliant movie of what the LD100 is really like, can't believe you did it with a torn ACL, your obviously the hard man of the MTB pelaton.
Wow! Everything “Leadville” is a test and challenge to the core! Great presentation of the reality of that race!
Loved this video; thank you!
I have a place near the race route in Twin Lakes. Loved the footage from Pipeline and Columbine. So lucky that I can ride those trails from my home. Did the race 4 times but now just love riding in those beautiful mountains. Thanks for the perspective and your love of riding.
Jersey is fire. Please keep inspiring us older guys
Awesome video! Knowing your level of fitness and ability, and seeing how difficult it was for you, shows just how difficult this race really is.
Still RAD!! Great job JB!!!
Fantastic video, I really hope it gets the views it deserves!
Great race report!Great gesture helping the young fella!
Jeremiah that's such a good story that at the end where you're helping that kid and you made his day even though your day wasn't great I'm sure you had a f****** great day
Yeah buddy! We can find success in different ways..
You are an inspiration! Amazing!

Love your vibes and attitude JB!
ahaha, sorry for not responding, I was not able... GREAT VID BTW!! see you soon :)
Ha ha I know that is why it was So funny. We have all been there!!! See ya soon!
"I have paid a lot to the Gods of suck, so hopefully my sacrifices will come back to me." That's a good one. Impressed every ride of yours.
Inspiring stuff man

Awaiting your co operated project with the Vegan cyclist. That impossible route was beyondddd....
love the single track section…where to get your jersey?😉

Legend
Any chance this can be done with a gravel bike with 40mm -50mm travel?
100%

i'd suffer through that for that buckle🤔
What camera did you use to capture this ?
It’s good to see you’re human.
what bike is that?
New Canyon LUX World Cup. It’s much faster on the downhills. I really like what they’ve done with the bike
You need a new JB logo :)
