Great video - looking forward to seeing more and hearing how the Evo and that set up perform for you. Just checked out the tires - they certainly look fast!

Looks fast! As for inserts, I use XC CushCore and install them like a tube, never had any issues. Those Victoria are definitely lightweight and it’s nice they stopped the zip tie version they had. I would like to use them on my gravel bikes. As for waxing chains, the only way I use chains now on all my bikes. I’m not racing Leadville but ride mixed condition Century rides every month on my gravel bikes and Silca wax has always worked well. I wipe down and top off with the Silca drip wax and deep clean and re-dip wax about every 3-4 months.

Inner bar ends will add additional hand positions while significantly improving aerodynamics and given that your bike is AXS you can get buttons to allow shifting while on the inner bar ends.

@mikekrasovec6390 they are banned in this format, so I would not recomended them for myself or my customers.

@@smithandshortdogs then bars such as a Jones loop or even a drop bar. At least some bar ends (mounted outside of the grips). I wouldn't want to spend that long on a bike stuck in one real hand position. It's worth noting that Dylan Johnson has tested various handlebar setups for Leadville and found that drop bars were considerably faster.

if you are having trouble climbing try an oval chain ring,\

On your smokestack... preload with the additional spacer. Torque stem. Remove additional spacer. Replace cap .

This works great until a minor crash and the bars get whacked to the side and the headset will be out of adjustment until you get back to your home, find the spacer and readjust it. Given the minor weight saving for a 5mm spacer (especially carbon) I wouldn't do it for my own bikes nor would I recommend it for a customer.
