On the initial testbed, it was already tracking rocket launches, booster separations, and low earth orbit of the satellite payload. Operational pilots report looking up and seen low earth orbit satellite tracks. EOTS is integrated with the DAS, AESA Radar, and the distributed RF sensor suite, so the pilot doesn’t know or care what sensors are initially detecting, tracking, and PID’ing targets, just that they are. Totally different approach than legacy fighters.

You could slave radar to TISEO or TISEO to radar. You could lock the radar on at 40 miles and see the target on the radar screen, not just a blip.

These along with the Lockheed Martin AN/AAQ-33 Sniper and AN/AAQ-33 Sniper-XR Advanced Targeting Pods and the older AN/AAQ-14 LANTIRN ( Low Altitude Targeting Infrared Night ) Pods and LTS ( F-14 Tomcat Specific ) are the best targeting pods in the work! Nothing like a Lockheed Martin Quality product! I think that it would be awesome to incorporate the Lockheed Martin AN/AAQ-40 EOTS into the Lockheed Martin F-22A Raptors as well! That would only make them more lethal!! Thanks again Lockheed Martin for your contribution to National Security of the United States of America and our awesome Allies such as the United Kingdom, Australia, Greece ( Hellenic Republic ), Italy, Japan, and others! 🇺🇸♠️🔱👽🔮🍺
