Someone should tell this woman that "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush." She is married to a man who presumably loves her and she has children by him and she is willing to walk away from that relationship to be with a man she has never met and who probably does not exist except on a computer screen. Sometimes I feel really sorry for women who are getting scammed and sometimes not so much. I sort of feel like they need to have their brain checked! You're not planning to "leave your home". You're planning to leave your husband and your children for an internet romance scammer.
Maybe I shouldn't say this, but if I were your husband and I learned that you are only staying with me because your plan to leave me for another man didn't work out, I would save you the trouble and I would leave YOU. I think he needs to find a woman who loves HIM and who will not be haunting internet sites looking for someone with whom she will replace him.

Training for these scammers in Lagos, Nigeria probably includes instructions to call these ugly, old stupid American women "Babe" within two days of hooking them into the grift.

Where she said counseling was going to happen so she could figure out what went wrong in their relationship to "cause" her to do this?! She's insufferable and unredeemable.
Also she had shared a lot of negative alcoholic/legal issue stuff about her husband to justify why she did all this, and that was actual decades ago? The man's been in recovery and she's adopted more children with him? She's an absolute weasel of a woman.

They use little pet names like that to keep from calling them the wrong name. So everybody is just babe. Makes them feel so special.
I agree, I feel the same. But maybe we need to understand that the victims have *nobody* who call them "babe", maybe not in years, so they pretty much enjoy it. That's why they fall for the scam. I've seen several videos now and try hard to understand. Most of the people are lonely and yearn for somebody who care for them. And the scammers fulfill exactly this "niche". They have all day nothing else to do as to write longing textmessages to lonely people ... and in the end getting paid for it.

But the scammers likely are calling them names like babe, honey or sweetheart because using pet names like that, they don't risk the chance of mistakenly calling them someone else's name. There's no telling how many victims these people are scamming at one time. So use pet names so you don't have to remember so many names.

She didn't physically earn that income...all that savings should have been her husband's retirement and future funds for their children when they pass away. I wouldn't trust her again. Whether people like it or not, what this woman is doing can be considered emotional cheating. The scammers are definitely low-hanging fruit who should be held accountable and punished accordingly. But the married men/women who get caught up in these scams also had no business looking outside their marriage.

There was one guy whose wife had dumped him for another man - he was lonely and looking for someone to date. Very true. I adopted my (now grown) daughter just after her 2nd birthday. She went through more crap in her first two years than a lot of people go through their entire lives, not to mention the physical issues she still deals with as a result of when she was in utero.

Talking to people of the opposite sex is a slippery slope, you never know when you are going to get romantically entangled, but sending someone money? That makes no sense to me. No way would I want to lose my home, my spouse, and run off with some deadbeat that is always borrowing from me.

More often than not, the military pays extra when you get out because they pay for unused leave. PLUS they pay for transportation back to your home of record.

My husband is a retired marine. We have great benefits for his retirement severance plan and as long as people aren’t discharged for displinary etc reasons then they get stuff covered. Active duty have travel expenses, food, medical etc are all covered. This is such nonsense that people think this is how servicemen and women are treated. Probably woke as hell too so of course she believes in the victim narrative.

My husband is my best friend I've known him sense 3rd grade. I guess I'm different? I've had hot guys in real life hit on me but, marriage means something to me, and I hope to most people. My husband can't walk anymore his body isn't feeling great. Do I vent? Yes! He's only 40 and we can't do lots of things we used to. In sickness and health means something to me. The kids, husband, and I are very close. He really gets into aname, and video games, things the kids like and rc cars he builds with them. He gets into fashion for me, and movies I like.
