Sorry guys I missed the Live Chat in the Premiere! Thanks for tuning in for those who did ❤️ appreciate your support a ton!
Unlocking TT was one of the biggest gaming achievements of my young life
There was one thing you forgot to mention:
After beating each track you unlock a time trial mode where if you beat all of T.T.'s times you can play as him and he is insane. High speed, great turning ability, it's no wonder his times are so quick.
Yep that’s right. T.T. Is fast!
It's kinda cool that the guy who voiced T.T. (the clock), Dominic Hecht (sometimes credited as Dean Smith), is still active in voice acting, though mostly in audio dramas such as those by Augustine Institute Radio Theatre and BBC Radio. I can't remember the last time he was in video games, but it's kinda cool that you can still hear him in stuff to this day, with his most recent work being Augustine Institute Radio Theatre's Victory of Joan of Arc as the voice of Bertrand de Poulengy. here's hoping we hear more of the Rareware people do voice acting in the future.
That’s really interesting!
I remember playing this as a kid and racing tt and having sooo much fun exploring
Also remember it used to glitch and it unlocked all the levels. I remember turning it on and having 99 ballons and being able to play on the space levels without unlocking them. Also remember being able to use whatever vehicle and Karting on flight levels
That’s sick! I love stuff like that
24:08 It's sad to see the moment that traumatized bumper so bad he decided to live a life of crime afterwards
I'll never understand the Mario Kart hype when the real party's over at Diddy and Crash's place. Seriously, both CTR and DKR are absolute KINGS of the cart racer genre
Haha I agree! I did a whole MK64 VS DKR if you hadn’t seen that where we compare and contrast elements of it.
@jiggylookback watched it this morning already lol. Good video and agreed with most of the points
It's amazing how Banjo and Conker got their own games but none of the other characters did. Wonder what it would be like if they had though?
Feel like TipTup would be a rhythm game with the TipTup choir. Thats all I got haha
I know Timber was meant to at some point, but the idea got scrapped.
@@theoaremevano3227 oh yeah he was meant to be the main of Diddy Kong Racing
I spent tons of hours playing this game with family and friends back in the day right alongside the likes of Mario Kart 64, Goldeneye, and Smash 64
Such good freaking games
For some reason when I was 6 and this game had just came out id get naked to play it every time and only this game
Lmao 😂
This game is incredible, definitely contender for my fave game of all time!
It’s up there! One of the best kart racers for sure!
You really should try out mirror mode! It is a challenge mode you unlock after the first playthrough. In mirror mode everything is mirrored, but more importantly the silver coins are a lot better hidden/out of your way.
I should go back! I want to make more DKR content too! Just figuring out how I can!
Loved having a 2-player adventure option in this game. Thanks to that, this was the first game I ever actually cleared in my life, space included. :D A lot of the other cheats were fun too.

Oh, and Drumstick is available right after your first Wizpig victory.
Legit haha
This game was a big part of my later childhood/early teenage years. I do remember struggling mightily to beat the first Wizpig race; I still consider it one of the hardest boss levels of any game I've played. And the music from DKR absolutely SLAPS. David Wise absolutely outdid himself, which was tough considering how good his music in the DKC games was.
Agreed. That first wizpig race is really tough unless you learn to nail the boosts.
Yeah its crazy hard. I got the game as my first videogame ever when it just came out (i was 7) and just playing through the game was HARD. First wizpig was just madness, i have no clue how i beat this back then.
As an adult ofcourse i can beat everything relatively easily but the first wizpig still requires a couple of tries and feels very intense.
300 subs, let's go! You're definitely in the hardest part, building up enough viewers, but hang in there and it'll pay off if you keep at it once you get big enough.
If I can add some constructive criticism--because I would love to see your channel take off--this one did sound too often like you were reading from a script. It's completely fine to read from a script, and it's not a problem if it sounds like you are every so often, but the best parts are when your personality and passion shines through, which I don't think happened at first until around the 5 min mark. Those are the parts I'm here for. When you're invested, your audience is invested. And I don't mean pretending to sound a certain way, but just letting your genuine thoughts come through. Editing is really good--you're definitely putting in a lot of work into these vids and it shows.
To give an example, 9:05 (which is a highlight) compared to 2:20
I understand completely! This one was definitely a building block I don’t think they’re like this anymore :) I agree!
@@jiggylookback Understood, that makes sense! Thanks for the kind reply, and I'm looking forward to what you've got coming up next!
@@nickw8160 thanks so much for supporting me! I really appreciate all constructive criticism too to make my videos even better :)
There needs to be more comments like this on TH-cam, I know this message has nothing to do with me, but your comment was fantastic.
It's definitely better than Mario Kart
Did you see my other video? I did a full comparison between them!
I did not, I'll go watch
Do you intentionally drive wonky like this or is that all you got? ;D
Lmao don’t hate on my driving 😂
the best part of this game is the time trial.
i dont want to be that anoying person, but you cant really see how good the game is until you get an rival to compete in the time trial for the best lap and total time records.
at least try to unlock T.T.
I quit at the final pig I just said duck it
A dib a dab a that’s all folks!
I hands down prefer this game to Mario 64, but I also love Snowboard Kids. #bringbanjoback in #2023ie
Snowboard kids is an absolute banger!
@@jiggylookback I like how they crash right into the wall before they get the ski lift haha.
DKR in my opinion will always be better than Mario Kart 64. Amazing soundtrack, memorable tracks, great storyline and fun multiplayer! It's a shame we never got the sequel we all rightfully deserve when Microsoft bought Rare.
I’m with you
Adventure 2 when?
We need it.
@@jiggylookback I meant the absurdly difficult mode in DKR
Oh lol
