I’m not saying De Geas got one of the best distribution in the world but imo his distribution is underrated. He’ll make one bad pass and fans want him gone and I’ve never understood that.

@@20yearsfromthepast that’s what I’ve been sayin but De Gea always seems to get dawged on for making one bad pass when really his distribution isn’t even that bad.
Tbf equally he can make a string of average saves and fans will rave about how he's the best keeper in the world. Overall, when he's in form he's the best shot stopper in the world. But if you look at the last 5 years he's only ever been in elite form in the first half of last season (21/22). That's 0.5 years out of the last 5 years. His shot stopping for other 4.5 years has ranged from above average to one of the worst in the league.
Then when you also consider that he's probably one of the worst in the league/Europe in distribution, command of box and sweeper actions, you get a keeper who on average this past 5 years has been a lower-mid table level keeper. Certainly not the keeper United need if they want to compete at the highest, unless he hits a purple patch again (and he's only had 1/2 a season of that in the last 5, so chances are incredibly slim).

You can watch a video of McTominay and he'll look like a class midfielder. De Gea is an average at best keeper for the most part. It's really unfortunate as he was arguably the best keeper in the world back in 17/18, but he's just not managed to develop his game aside from shot stopping and it's really costing United

But, if lets say, Allison & Ederson are Uzumaki Naruto & Uchiha Sasuke, I would say DDG is Guy Sensei... Sure, Guy Sensei doesn't know Ninjitsu like Naruto & Sasuke, but he did gave Uchiha Madara a tough fight with his Taijitsu alone...
