You tried to bring stat and you looked like a super clown already,Messi had attempted more dribbles but was successful with 61% of them hazard didn't attempt like Messi but was successful with 64% of them following your stat leg you pull it does prove hazard was a better dribbler than Messi,you saw that in the stat you brought up and still managed to come to the conclusion that Messi was a better dribbler when what makes a dribble a dribble is if you're successful with it 🤦🏿♂️. It's sad to see his reputation tainted by his Real Madrid career. People run with the narrative that he was lazy and was destined to fail at Madrid. I'd agree that he will not be good past age 35 because of his lack of training and jolly personality, but he retired at 32 because of injury. Lookup Tifos video explaining Hazard's injury and mismanagement of ankle plates. Not everyone is blessed with good health, poor physical health affects mental too. Ex: Van Basten, R9, Adriano, Torres, Pato etc. Without the injury he would have picked up the pace at Real Madrid, like Modric after first season. Arguing that he should have worked harder to revive his career is ignorant and pushed by lazy journalism. But, nothing will change his legacy at Chelsea and he will forever be my best player at 2018 WC.

Never! Mou compared him to Ronaldo to get him firing. He collapsed. All these stats about dribbling completion leave a lot of context out like what areas of the field he dribbles the most and the outcome most of the time. Messi can play RW and his dribbling could take him to CDM and full back zones, CF zones and RW zones and he’ll create more actions on goal than Harzard could possibly dream of. I’m not saying Hazard isn’t great but when you’re mostly dribbling from one position, in reoccurring circumstances, going either right or left mostly against the run of play, it isn’t nearly as challenging as doing it randomly at any part of the pitch central or side in your own half or the opponent’s, in the middle of tacklers or on the side like Hazard does, it’s a no brainer. In terms of dribbling, if Messi was out of the equation then I think the best dribblers for that era was Ribery, Hazard and Neymar in no particular order. Those guys could take on 3 to 5 players. Another really close player would be iniesta but he was a central midfielder though

In 2013 he had 1,084 attempted dribbles and was always testing defenders 1v1. You can’t say the same for Robben who mostly likes to cut in.
