That bottle caps really popular back then.. The game rules have level.. You cant hit the wall/defense.. If you complete all lvl, u can take other person most beautiful bottle caps.. Thats how we play..
One game not listed here is, lawan pen.. You can customize your pen using rubber band.. Then who can knock other ppl pen from the table is the winner..
I can tell some of the game, not in sequence of the clip: 1. Batu seremban. Basically they toss one sack, and try to grab a sack without touching the other (depend on house rule), and catch the tossed sack successfully with one hand. Then the game goes on to grab two, three, and four. There are five sacks total including the tossed one. 2. Tutup botol/ceper (bottle cap). Five caps in play. Toss it lightly at the floor, pick one cap that you didn't wanted without touching the other caps. Competitor will point out which cap should hit which cap. Flick the cap to hit it successfully without touching the unrelated caps, hand used to guide the trajectory. Special rules apply if caps stack with each other after tossing: ayam (2 caps), jamban (3 caps). Showed in the clip is jamban. If success, toss all cap and balance it with back hand (some cap can be fall from hand), toss it again and try to catch all remaining caps from back hand to get the point. 3. Lompat getah. They have height level for each hop; ground, knee, hips, shoulder, and head. Success in all of this will grant a point. Some houserule has some tricky move on knee level, like a dancing move (I can't explain). 4. Pepsi Cola. Get the name from it chant/song. Sing the song to get know who start first. "Ais krim soda, Pepsi Cola, buatan Malaysia blablabla..." 5. Sep sep tom tom. I don't know the real name for this, the girls before battle of the jari play it. Clapping with each other hand in rhythm following some specific song. Not a real game but it is fun. You should teach the boys and Rachel the jari one, and eraser. It is easy game. Games that I play in my school but not available in clip: 1. Galah panjang. 2. Tengteng (Hopscotch). 3. Kaki tempang; one guy chasing group of guys, one legged in a designated circle/square. 4. Kejar2 (It). 5. Lubang tikus (human obstacle course). 6. Rebut tiang. 7. Jentik pen (flick the pen); you try to flick your pen, hit competitor's pen off the table. 8. Alphabets game; choose an alphabet, name a country, fruit, animal, object, human start with said alphabet. Score it, unique name get 2, same as competitor get 1, blank get 0. 9. Bola sepak kotak (cardboard football); using cardboard, fold into two to create a player.

Now, we advocate 21st-century education which creativity is one of its pillars. Unfortunately, our children's opportunity to develop creativity is threatened by a highly structured daily routine, little room to get bored while boredom is the prerequisite to creativity. Whenever our kids got bored, they either play with toys that are ready-made for a specific way of playing them (less imagination and making-culture) or simply get to the phone, tablet, endless screens and let the brain lives as a consumer rather than creator. When I told my kids lets play with kite since it's very windy now in Ireland, they quickly said, where we can buy one. I thought, hurmm... back then we just made one ourselves.

I remember playing that. I would challenge every dude in class to play it with me, but around Form 2, I think, most of them would think it was a waste of time. At that time Command & Conquer: Red Alert was all the rage in my class and many of the dudes would go to the cybercafe to play together. Well, my class actually had two clans at that time: Red Alert clan and Starcraft clan. When we went to the CC to play LAN games, we'd actually argue about which game we wanted to play that time because we were broke and could only play one game a day.
There was tear coming out from my eyes while watching this video. Not because i was sad but somehow happy and felt nostalgic with these games. Most of the games are my childhood games. Man, this is so great. 😆

I never actually made one during sekolah rendah but now in sekolah menengah i keep a notebook for timetables, upcoming exams and homework. Actually everyone in my school did that too
everyone was like 70s, 80s- well i'm a 92liner and i played those games during my schooltime and to whoever created or started those, i humbly thank you 😅 they really filled up my time with fun
one more thing about the eraser game is....if you win....you get to keep the opponent eraser and make it yours....hahaha i usually get a lot of eraser after the game....hahaha
Hai.. you guys.. Thanks for taking me back to my childhood..goshhh miss it so much.. Love to play gelung getah..because i'm going to involve with girls..huhu..
Omgg I remember using my school exercise books as biodatas (I had so many 🤣) and would ask my friends to fill in their details. The important details was stuff like, "Favourite food, favourite band, favourite song, favourite drinks" etc. So so nostalgic and so fun! 🥺🤗 Used to play Batu seremban, tiang-tiang, bingo and congkak in school too!
Oh my God! This is soooo nostalgic! The autograph book, that's what we used to call it. There's a whole ritual to it. You go to your local mini market or bookshop, then go to the autograph book isle, look at all the selection that they have, smell them (coz some books used scented paper), look at the designs, choose the one you like the most that is within your budget, bring it back home, put it in your bag, then the next day, announce to the whole class that anyone can write in the book. If everyone writes in your book, it means you are liked by everyone. It's a big deal at that time to be writing in the book of a famous person in your school or your crush! ☺☺ I am heavy since young, so normally I'd avoid playing anything too physical like Zero Point (lompat getah) or Aci Kejar. Aci Duduk is more my cup of tea. 😁 I prefer Galah Panjang where I normally played the Ibu as I was more flexible and could stretch and touch the opponents quicker, despite being chubby. 😅 Our version of jump rope would be 'Rumah Terbakar'. There's a song that we have to sing while playing it that goes: Rumah terbakar panggil bomba, Bomba datang berlumba2. Anak kambing patah kaki, Anak kambing pandai menari... (No idea why the anak kambing pandai menari despite having a broken leg though! 😅) Can't remember the whole song but the winner is determined at the latter part of the song whereby ABCs were recited and the winner is determined by how far you get in the alphabets. I remember a friend who coud go through 2 rounds of ABCs! Another one that is missing is Janjan Jala. It's like our version of London Bridge, except when a player is caught, he/she is given the chance to choose sides and when everyone has chosen sides, there will be a tug-of-war to determine which team is the final winner.
back in my days in my hostel we don't use CD to hear music.. Diskman is mostly for town folks because it was so expensive.. the best we can afford is a walkman which is using cassete. since we stay in a hostel, so we don't have much cash to always buy a batteries. below is some of the thing we do to save on the batteries 1. to rewind a cassete, instead using rewind function, we use a pencil 2. if battery is weak... we smack the batteries and it will give another maybe 15-30 minutes extra on the batteries 3. another way to give extra minutes on the batteries, u give a little heat on the batteries by using iron 4. some of us who have a little bit of cash, use rechargeable batteries.. but must make sure stay beside the batteries while charging to avoid the batteries get stolen
Aku nampak muka rindu dengan Malaysia tu, faham dulu study je oversea pun everything nak compare dengan Malaysia, anyways great videos tuned in giler dengan vids2 ni! TERBAIK!
very nostalgic, very on point..,back then, at school i love play rebut tiang.. after school i play guli, mercun plug, homemade layang2,byk lg la..x abis kalau cerita.hahaha
the rubber game just now is what we girls usually called as lompat getah. where you will be divided into 3 group or you can play with 3 friends. usually a group with an odd numbers of member "the odd" one we called as "anak bulan" or moonchild hahaha the game is pretty simple where you need to jump to the other side of the rubber rope. the game will have few level of difficulties, first from the bottom of your feet (means you need to lay the rubber on the ground and jump over it), after that knee level, hip level, chest level and head. so the person who get to jump more higher will be the winner.
Back in school, to me, if someone refered 'pemadam' as rubber, they were kampung students. If someone called it erasure, they were city kids. That being said, most people call it rubber as we learn British English in school.
Nostalgic. I used to make my own batu seremban, played kunda kundi and soccer with boys in primary school, somebody makes the gelung getah and we played it together, always bought state erasers and whoever wins will keep the eraser - simpan rubber, played the bottle caps with boys, plus that game in the math book. I guess I played more games with boys. 😅🤣
Hi, so nice recalling our malaysian way of childhood days. Try doing some reaction on Yasmin Ahmad videos. She is one of a kind. She really shows true Malaysian cultures in all her videos. Love Yasmin.

most games we played is for fun! rarely there a competition unless some of the guys placed some bet on the table.. I have played almost all the games since we got plenty of time during recess
The assembly part where u have to put ur hand on ur friend's shoulder, actually it's for us to have "Enough Spaces" when the teacher asked us to sit down...-_- idk why those students doesn't notice about it. I really hate when the back row sit first, then the front row have to move forward n get scolded. And also we all still confuse either our class monitor or the shortest should be on the front.
Right, exactly. And after angkat tangan, still the ones at the back have to move because immediately after the hands go down, the students inch forward again. Got scolded so many times for that back in primary school. 🤣 Can't forget the satu, dua, tiga part also where we put our hands up and finally the hush sign, finger on the lips. Gotta hold it there until we're told to put our hands down. Man that was tiring! Although I think the most iconic part is that since the national schools are majority Muslim, they recite the prayer every morning. I memorised it at one point, word for word.
@@PJOnHOOFan4ever ahaha, i remember that putting our finger on the mouth. N yh for the doa, it's like we don't need the prefect to recite it, since some of us also know it.
I'm born in 1997 and still remember all the game. the game I like most is Ceper the one that played with bottle cap. The chewing gum prank with cockroach also the best ever. Lastly I still remember the candy, when we put in our mouth, they will pop like explosion in our mouth. Arghh, very nostalgic
The second part of the video, I think is significant in the very bag. We call "beg roda". It was such a trend back then among students. And then the colour pencil brand, lunar if I'm not mistaken? It is the one that every kid wanted back then. The nostalgia hahaha
Becuz I'm fourteen…when I'm 12 and at the end of the year…we have our school limited edition clothes for only the student who is only have one year to be still in the school…we can take our phone to the school to have some phone contact with each other or take some picture to remember your old friends or your old teachers…back in the talking about the clothes…we all have the clothes with our own idea of the name or anything you want to put on the clothes and the people who make the clothes for you will make it with the details you want after you receive the clothes it was like a last birthday for you from you teacher…so our teacher…ms.Teng gifted us a MP3!
Hi Kumaar & Rachel!!!! Paused at Min 2. All elementary/primary school pupils school uniform those days. Had to wear blue short pants, white short sleeve shirt, n white laced rubber shoes to school. You missed that.
Can't believe a lot of it is the same for Singapore school! We called that "autograph book". We have a favourite guy whom everyone will ask him to write cos he was so talented in drawing funny comics. We had the same games like the five stones, rubber, zero point (or sometimes double as a hoop and even three person holding as a triangle. And Pepsi Cola 123 LOL
Up until my last yr of elementary school(2018), We still do this and play all those games and this video was also quite fun for me to watch to remembering all the times we would do all of thes
i think you’d be pleased to know that these games are still being played until now. because we can’t bring devices to school, its pretty much still the same.
There were still other games that were left out in that video like the marbles, softballs using tennis balls or the dried fruit, tapak (those small paper cards), timbang (using metal washers and plastic rope or the flower), pen w/wo rubber bands battle etc. Great video guys, keep it up!
Yup..it make us more creative back then. Me and my daughter 13th yrs old, we still can play "tudung oren".. easy to play.. One more game is "bola tepuk" (using cardboard to imitate real life soccer player), not sure if you played this back then in 90's.
Wait..how old is logesh?🤔im born in 1996..same thing happen to me like in the video.. Another jinny boy tv that i like is trouble in the sky (story about flight crew)..go watch that..it is super hilarious..
Actually the hand part during assembly is so that the kids all stand in a straight line. Also the line order goes front to back from shortest to tallest so that everyone can see and pay attention when the teachers are making announcements during the assembly. Some sneaky shorter kids tend to hide behind the tall kids and sleep on their classmates back while standing. And the tall kids can never do that since everyone can see if they're playing around in the very back since they're tall hahah. It's a discipline and keeping order thing i guess. XD Oh wow i remember all of this in the video it really takes me back. =)
Omg, this is the first time I watch the video and it's really relatable to me too.. the bottle cap was called main ceper. And the other game we just called main getah. Basically it will start with easy level. Every level the person consider winning and can move to the next level if she can jump over the rubber successfully. From ankle, to kneecap, to waist, to shoulder, then ear and lastly to your head, the person must be able to jump over it.. I was a champion at the time I know.. haha
Wow i still have the notebook thing. Last used on my final year of my degree. Most of my friends were shocked I still have em to say the least. Love your vids boss.
Back to my old memories.. We kill our free time with all these type of games.. But not right now.. Our generation is the best batch ever 😊 Shout out for 90's👏👏👏
Lompat getah, usually have 2 team. Start with talilat to divide the group, then rock paper to get winning team. Loosing team have to hold the rubber and wait.. Usually taller person dedicated to hold it so that the opponent team will have hard time to jump due to the height. The rules is... The jumping height started from ankle and move to knee, hip, waist, underarm/ chest, shoulder, chin, ear, head and over head. .. Was a pro for this! Heheh
Man, getah and pepsi cola is freaking nostalgic weihhhh. How I used to play getah was basically loop 2 pieces of elastic (the orange kind you wrap nasi lemak with) with another 2 pieces till you eventually get a large enough length so that it becomes a sort of oval loop to jump in and out of. Not just a line like in the video. We had this theme where you start with the loop being really low to jump in and out of that eventually gets raised higher till its higher than hip level! And we used to jump to the beat of "in, out, side by side, out, in, step". In = You jump in so both feet are within the loop. Out = both feet are outside the loop. Side by side = one foot outside, one foot in; jump on the left then to the right. Step = means you have to step both feet on each side of the loop. Imagine the loop being waist high and you have to step on it! But that was the fun part!
During our time (80's kid here) we use real pebbles collected on the roadsides to play batu seremban. It was so much more satisfaying than those small sacks filled with beans. The jumping over the rubber rope game we call "zero point". It was so much fun! 🤣 The objective of the game is to jump over as high as you can starting with the ground level, and then ankle level, knee, waist, armpit, shoulder, ear, top of the head & finally a about a foot over the head. It gets harder & more challenging as you play but that's what make it so fun. If you can pass the highest level you'll feel like a king
yeah you can play batu seremban with real rock, but for me, that is pretty much the last resort cause it's quite dangerous to play with real rock, plus the cloth sacks filled with rice give a really nice texture.
While you're here, don't forget to show some love by hitting that subscribe button ❤️ You guys rock!!

The important details was stuff like, "Favourite food, favourite band, favourite song, favourite drinks" etc. So so nostalgic and so fun! 🥺🤗 Used to play Batu seremban, tiang-tiang, bingo and congkak in school too!
Thank you Kumar family coz you guys show the truly malaysian culture and proud of malaysian even you live at oversea..
I am heavy since young, so normally I'd avoid playing anything too physical like Zero Point (lompat getah) or Aci Kejar. Aci Duduk is more my cup of tea. 😁 I prefer Galah Panjang where I normally played the Ibu as I was more flexible and could stretch and touch the opponents quicker, despite being chubby. 😅
Our version of jump rope would be 'Rumah Terbakar'. There's a song that we have to sing while playing it that goes:
Rumah terbakar panggil bomba,
Bomba datang berlumba2.
Anak kambing patah kaki,
Anak kambing pandai menari...
(No idea why the anak kambing pandai menari despite having a broken leg though! 😅)
Can't remember the whole song but the winner is determined at the latter part of the song whereby ABCs were recited and the winner is determined by how far you get in the alphabets.
Diskman is mostly for town folks because it was so expensive.. the best we can afford is a walkman which is using cassete. since we stay in a hostel, so we don't have much cash to always buy a batteries. below is some of the thing we do to save on the batteries
1. to rewind a cassete, instead using rewind function, we use a pencil
2. if battery is weak... we smack the batteries and it will give another maybe 15-30 minutes extra on the batteries
3. another way to give extra minutes on the batteries, u give a little heat on the batteries by using iron
4. some of us who have a little bit of cash, use rechargeable batteries.. but must make sure stay beside the batteries while charging to avoid the batteries get stolen
I miss that. I miss running around and laughing together with friends. 😆
90an is de best
Aku nampak muka rindu dengan Malaysia tu, faham dulu study je oversea pun everything nak compare dengan Malaysia, anyways great videos tuned in giler dengan vids2 ni! TERBAIK!

New video...nice....stay safe guys❤️❤️❤️🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾
Ya Allah smua ni kenangan permainan masa kecik tahun 90an… i miss all of this….
the rubber game just now is what we girls usually called as lompat getah. where you will be divided into 3 group or you can play with 3 friends. usually a group with an odd numbers of member "the odd" one we called as "anak bulan" or moonchild hahaha the game is pretty simple where you need to jump to the other side of the rubber rope. the game will have few level of difficulties, first from the bottom of your feet (means you need to lay the rubber on the ground and jump over it), after that knee level, hip level, chest level and head. so the person who get to jump more higher will be the winner.
I remember for lompat getah, if it is waist and below, we need to ensure that our body part or even clothes do not touch the getah .
Best lah Kumar. I really enjoyed this video too. Thanks you. 👍😁
Back in school, to me, if someone refered 'pemadam' as rubber, they were kampung students. If someone called it erasure, they were city kids.
That being said, most people call it rubber as we learn British English in school.
kumaar i just wanna said that i'm proud of you eventho you have already moved to america but you still miss our country mannn
i love you man
Tq for reacting to this video.. its just down memory lane.. i missed my childhood.. we used to play 'cop tiang' and the 'lawan pemadam'.. thanks 🥰🥰🥰
Finally, New Video🤩
Bring back nostalgic moments ni live and your are Lasallian... proud to be that to.
1983-1993

The tradition never dies. 😂
Ooooh... how i missed that school days. It brings back lots of memories !.

Woahh..these are really bring back memories 💚✨😍😍 about the pepsi cola game, we'll sing
Pepsi cola, aiskrim soda, buatan Malaysia 😂✨
Aww that sure brings lots of memories and nostalgia lol they did show but i do remember playing lompat tikus chapte guli and so many more. Thanks for sharing.
Hi ! Nice to see you guys.. i really enjoyed watching your videos especially when kumaar cooked nasi lemak !.
most games we played is for fun! rarely there a competition unless some of the guys placed some bet on the table..
Luna
Serius saya suka semua video bro.. Terbaik.. Saya dari malaysia
Becuz I'm fourteen…when I'm 12 and at the end of the year…we have our school limited edition clothes for only the student who is only have one year to be still in the school…we can take our phone to the school to have some phone contact with each other or take some picture to remember your old friends or your old teachers…back in the talking about the clothes…we all have the clothes with our own idea of the name or anything you want to put on the clothes and the people who make the clothes for you will make it with the details you want
after you receive the clothes it was like a last birthday for you from you teacher…so our teacher…ms.Teng gifted us a MP3!
Hi Kumaar & Rachel!!!!
Paused at Min 2. All elementary/primary school pupils school uniform those days. Had to wear blue short pants, white short sleeve shirt, n white laced rubber shoes to school. You missed that.
It is an autograph .. in the '70 most of my friend have it ..
And Pepsi Cola 123 LOL
jinnyboytv should watch this! omg so nostalgic.
Up until my last yr of elementary school(2018), We still do this and play all those games and this video was also quite fun for me to watch to remembering all the times we would do all of thes
how to know you're malaysian by the ming thing...
this is amazing video...
i think you’d be pleased to know that these games are still being played until now. because we can’t bring devices to school, its pretty much still the same.
Tbh even us 2000s kid have experienced this too. I guess Malaysian school cultures never changed 😂
@@elcubano8843 same. We were the last lucky generation to have the 90's scraps. But I'll never go through it again
I'm from '98, also experienced most of these. It's our childhood, one I'm grateful for.
My generation, we still played those games in primary school and even into our early years of secondary school
I still have 2 of those notebooks from primary school still in my room's bookshelf. The nostalgia.
Biodata book. If anyone offer you to put your biodata in their book it was like an honor
that was for 70s and 80s born child. millennium boy don't know that :D
you are wrong..the 90's and early 00 kids still play that..
@@randomnetizen7065 Yeah only on early 90, and after that it's gone because of time changing.
My 7 years old nieces alway play batu seremban .. They also play police sentri
kan..budak2 skrg apa diorg tahu main tel je
@@afariznizam1519 main batu seremban using fon 🤣
i’m literally cryingg 🤣🤣 this is soo nostalgic! i could relate with everything
Our generation was so creative ... we just looked around.... new games created ❤️
Man .... really good miss THE GOOD OLD DAYS and my friends
It is called Pepsi Cola because of the song we sing when we play. Pepsi cola, Orang Gila, tak pakai spendar..
I think I like your version better🤣🤣🤣👍
Kumaar Anne,Hi.
I m from La Salle,Klang too.
Just finished SPM and waiting for results.
Hail to Thee Our Alma Mater Hail!Hail! Hail!
🙏Have a nice day guys, more love🧡from Malaysia🤗
OMG...This is Legend... although there are still so many games not included in the clips...but really...it reminds me of my childhood days...
I was a champion at the time I know.. haha
When kumar mention La Salle at klang, it make nostalgic at the school 😄 lagi² bila banjir melanda ahahahah
Wow i still have the notebook thing. Last used on my final year of my degree. Most of my friends were shocked I still have em to say the least. Love your vids boss.
I remember playing konda kondi and police and thief. That was fun. A lot of broomsticks being sacrificed here and a lot of unhappy mom's😂😂
Perghhhhh
....bring back my memories in 80..😁😁😁
Great video guys, thank you! 👍🏼👌🏼🙏🏻☺️
Back my memory... During school.... And my late father
Malaysian here.My gosh,I miss those days.No phones and internet. We started to get so creative when playing.
Bruuhhh this is so nostalgic l thought this game start when l was in my middle school...but it start a long time ago im 17 thoo... this so legend
Boys also playing batu seremban during bulan puasa. The canteen is off, so, playing on rehat time...hehehe...miss the old time..
Back to my old memories.. We kill our free time with all these type of games.. But not right now.. Our generation is the best batch ever 😊 Shout out for 90's👏👏👏
Ooh .. the 10cents eraser was the hype back in the school days..OMG...
