I Didn't Know My BenQ Remote Could Do That!

Before we can demonstrate this feature we have to make sure that the USB receiver is plugged into the board first.
- Using the laser pointer or Spotlight feature on the remote
- How to Freeze Freezing the screen
- Blanking the screen
- Adjusting the volume
- Navigating menus
- Advancing slides in presentation
It may even work on specific websites go ahead and give it a try

Yes and no is the answer, another BenQ remote should control power and volume, but some of the other cooler features like the laser pointer will not. The remote is linked to a USB dongle attached to your BenQ. You’ll have to order another remote and usb dongle.

Can you help, remote's OK button doesn't work. All other buttons works except OK.

Try unplugging the USB dongle for the remote and taking the dongle and the remote to another board and seeing if the OK button doesn’t work there either. If the ok button doesn’t work on another board then the remote may be broken. 😞

When i hit the freeze button it does not freeze, it instead selects text on whatever document is open. I am connecting with HDMI. I tried resetting the remote by taking the batteries out.

I would make sure that the little USB dongle that goes to your remote is plugged into the board and not plugged in to your computer or anything else connected to the BenQ. Let me know if that fixes it. The little USB dongle is pretty small and they sometimes put it underneath the front of the board.

@@MrGrifftastic Thanks for your answer the dongle was plugged into the front of the benq, tried in the side, nothing worked. we are going to order a replacement remote and call it a glitch.

benq x3000i - My remote does not work unless its on hdmi 3 and using the android tv stick. the only button that works is the power button. Any Suggestions?

Because that remote is for a projector I’m not sure, I would suggest replacing the batteries in it first to see if that fixes the issue if not time to contact BenQ for a replacement.

Yes it's a projector. Brand new off amazon. I really don't want to return it so I will reach out to BenQ!
