    I’ve watched dozens of videos on Vision Pro but no reviewer has ever answered these questions:
    1. How far away can you get from windows before they reset or error out? For example, Can i leave a window in my bathroom permanently and go outside and mow the lawn or walk down the street, drive away etc, etc and come back in and it’s still there? How big is the area it can map?
    2. Is there some kind of save state for your windows so you don’t have to set everything up over and over?

    • @MaxTechOfficial
      @MaxTechOfficial  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +80

      1: The distance is impressive, at the moment they do stay if you walk away about 2 blocks, so if you walk outside and come back they will be in place.
      2: The windows do stay but not after restart. Currently the VP does not support that feature, but hopefully apple will improve these features.

      It can actually detect if you’re in different buildings too. You can open a bunch of windows at home, go to work, open windows there, and as you travel between the two places it’ll keep the windows perfectly in place and show the correct ones.

      I guess you could go around the Earth and back. If i had to program it, it would have limit of objects. Sensor data have constant volume and are quite unique, so total space required to store it would be very easy to calculate. The only warning you would get would be when you will reach limit of objects, when sensor doesn't work or when something glitch and already remembered object will be matched to different place because of data similarity.

      To accomodate for convergence (basically when your eyes go slightly cross eyed when looking at close up stuff) you'd have to physically move the screens or lenses or change the focal point electronically. Meta has prototypes for both these solutions, I think they're like 4 or 5 years old now.

    I've also missed the ability to use the Vision Pro's pointing methods when interacting with the virtual monitor, but I expect that ability will come some day. The trick will be to have MacOS receive the "pointer" location and THEN to have the apps highlight the selected field. Right now MacOS apps don't have to highlight a field when the mouse pointer hovers over them. But Apple could add that functionality to individual MacOS apps along with the ability to receive the location updates.
    So, I wouldn't be surprised to see the VP's pointer appear on the virtual monitor some time in the future. For a NEW product, this device is even MORE useful than I expected, and like the iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch before it, we'll only see it get better over time as more software becomes integrated.

    I don’t think having 1 display is a limit of the M2 chip. I think it’s likely a limitation of the wireless connection.
    Remember that the macbook is rendering the display, the vision pro just has to rasterise it. And the fact you can have multiple vision pro windows means it is perfectly capable of rasterising multiple displays.

    two things that make no sense to me:
    1. why did they even bother with the fancy single strap when the more traditional two band strap is way more comfortable. this could've at least been $200-300 cheaper just because of that probably.
    2. this is billed as being able to replace your monitors. why is there not at least the option for dual monitors when connected to a mac? triple would be ideal and the ideal limit for most people but the fact that you can only have one screen and then what amounts to a bunch of ipad apps next to it just makes it feel more like a toy to me.

    Great catch about the audio. I got my Apple Vision Pro for editing as well but I didn’t want to jump in yet because I am in the end phase of a documentary and I don’t want to experiment. I use two computers side by side that I have a TH-cam or Netflix running at the same time. It would be great if there is a way 1st: To control the volume from each screen independently. 2nd: Listen the Mac computer using the Vision Pro speakers. 3rd: have kind of “focus mode” that when you see the window the audio level rises and the other going to the background but you can still listen it. About the keyboard, it will be good to have in the Control Center the option to desactive the visual keyboard and use only the physical one. ALL THINGS THING CAN BE ADJUSTED BY A SOFTWARE UPGRADE. That’s why I’m so excited about this glasses. Thank you for your review. Do you know where we can share these and other feedback to Apple?

    Thanks, this was a really nice and informative presentation of real word use cases and usability.
    Hopefully some of the shortcomings can be fixed.
    My take:
    1) Audio stream mixed in from both MacBook and Vision Pro apps.
    2) At least two virtual MacBook screens
    3) Seamless macOS apps, just drag an app window out from your virtual desktop into the AR world and interact with it like a Visual Pro app. This could work if macOS apps could opt-in on Vision Pro support and be recompiled with it. (Obviously a lot of complexities involved under the hood to enable this, but probably doable). With 3 available on most apps, point 2 is maybe not needed.
    4) Much larger field of view
    5) Even sharper AR
    6) Weight
    7) Share window/app publicly or to group of users. If in group or it is public and you are in Vision Pro, close to the app’s placement, you all see it in the same place and can interact with it. (Bonus: maybe there will Vision Pro app server devices, to publish public Vision Pro apps, fixed to a certain surrounding 😂)

It will be interesting to hear if people experience any muscle, back, and neck pain after prolonged use of the device.
    In my personal experience, having worked in the engineering software field for over four decades, it was quite 'normal' to clock in 60 to 70 hours or more per week. Work consumed much of my time, and the concept of work-life balance wasn't prevalent then. Doing it by hands wont be faster or precise for this purpose. The most accurate and fastest way to do something precise always will be mouse. Especially that eyetracking is not as precise as you would think it is, probably thats why they wont do more i think. And its not bad i dont think even the most precise tracking of your hands or eyes will be more precise than mouse, your hands are shaking a bit even when you dont want them to, if they are not placed on a desk they are not precise, also mouse have a little lower sensitivity thats why its even more precise. For longer period of work its also more comfortable to use mouse and keyboard to work, i do work in avp and its amazing, especially when they implemented mouse on all of the windows including this one running on avp while you are connected to macbook on vision os 2.0.

      In VR and AR, your eyes are more relaxed than looking at your phone or reading a book since the lenses set the focal distance over 1 meter away. This is why short sighted people need to keep wearing their glasses in the headset. It is hard to wrap your head around since you can have an object that is 6 inches from your face in the VR environment but your eyes are actually relaxed like you are looking at something that is 1 meter away. Everything at all distances is always in focus in VR so your eyes never have to use the muscles to adjust focus.

    • @MaxTechOfficial
      @MaxTechOfficial  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      It's tough. The 6K is sharper but 4K looks no worse than a real-life 4K display, and I can stretch it out larger. And unlike real monitor, I can have it further away from me because now I'm not limited by walls where I can't push my display back further. In my room it would be impossible to replicate the experience. Maybe you could spend 10K on a 98" display and have your desk in the middle of the room and the display further away, but then you run into a lot of other issues. With that, Today I came in and was just using my Pro XDR and was shuffling back and forth through a few windows which is slowing down productivity and found myself wishing I could simply pull one browser out of my screen and place it on the side of above my display. With Vision Pro it takes a couple seconds. Sure I could buy another monitor or even have 4 or 6, but then you run into other issues. Now I can just place something out of my vision floating on my left and right and when I need to check up on it just look over. It truly is incredible.

      Nope! our eyes see the virtual world as though you're looking 10 Feet in front of you. And when you move a window closer to you it's exactly the same as you're viewing something that close. Your eyes cannot physically see that close, they will not focus. Hope this helps with your question.
