I first had this dish at a church dinner as a teenager a long time ago. Loved it so much I got the "church lady" to give my mom the recipe. I found it in mom's recipes about a year ago and have been making it ever since. Try 1/2 lb Velveeta (cubed) instead of the shredded cheddar. It makes it so creamy and good. Love you and your videos and YOU certainly do "shine for Jesus."
Yum.... someone else suggested Velveeta.... I will have to try that!

To me it needs to be creamier. It looked a bit dry. I would also add a can of cream of mushroom soup besides the velveeta. This recipe looks delicious like it is. I’m one of those that likes creamy which adds a bit more moisture to the recipe. Thanks for the recipe Meme!
The one we had was with mushrooms and 2 mushroom soup! Loved it!
And some cream cheese or sour cream. I would have put sour cream in with the tomato soup and then mixed it in with the rest.

This is indeed an old time recipe! And goes by; Mazetti, Johnny Marzetti, John Marcetti, Jimmy Marsetti and other names. And MeMe yours looks delicious. Pork sausage always adds lots of flavor, not forgetting to mention the butter! 😁
Yes my mom always made this & called it Johnny Marzetti. We love it. It was one of the first recipes she wrote out for me when I got married in '87! I'm now inspired to make it soon!

That casserole looks great for a cold winter's day - couldn't run my oven for an hour in the summer but the extra heat will be much appreciated this week for sure! I think I'll make it and split it with my neighbor.

This recipe is right up my husband’s alley! He does most of the cooking in our family, so I’ll have to show this to him. But I know he will love it! Add an Italian salad and hot rolls or garlic toast, sweet tea, and what a meal!!!

I have to chuckle… I too lost all hearing in my left ear and wear a hearing aid in my right ear! I tell the grandkids to move over to my right side if they want me to hear them. Love you!

I have made this recipe before. It's called John Mazetti (whoever he was), and it's one of my favorites. I want to see your version.
Oh Meme, I just love you!❤ I have so many life stories just waiting for someone to hear them. And I feel like you are so much like my paternal grandmother that I want to share them with you!😊 For today's recipe, I absolutely love egg noodles and any goulash type of casserole. For me a spoonful of sour cream on top makes it PERFECTLY DELICIOUS!
I'm 54 and had a health emergency 3 months ago. I was unconscious for 2 weeks in ICU and another few weeks in CCU. I lost hearing in my left ear and function in right leg. So, if I run into you at the store I'll be carrying a notepad so we can write it down!😅 Sending you lots of love and prayers! From Indian Rocks Beach, Florida. ❤🙏💫🍽

Happy New Year! You bring love, light and laughter to us, as we enjoy your recipes! I am a church organist and pianist. And I have hearing aids in both ears…Happy was the day when I invested $$$ in my rechargeable hearing aids. I now do not have to risk batteries going dead, and it allows me to hear the voices of my family and music! And, keep taking those naps. I have learned that naps renew your energy and outlook, even with 15-20 minutes! ❤❤❤❤❤
Naps are great... I just have to be sure and set an alarm. : ) Santa brought me some $$ and I think a new hearing aid will be my purchase!

I enjoy your videos and recipes so much. I have to smile every time you say "the ingredients get acquainted". Here in Louisiana, they go a step further and we actually refer to it as they marry. Especially when you leave them over night. Can't wait to try this dish and for the new cookbook.

My Mom made this when I was a kid. I made it for my kids. Always a hit. Never put cheese in it though. You make it just like Mom did, minus the cheese, I've seen different recipes but this tastes the best with green peppers and the tomato soup. No trouble getting kids to eat when I cooked this.

I was curious about the name. Johnny Marzetti! I had never heard of this dish.! Teresa Marzetti served it in her restaurant and named it after her brother in law!

Can you use Diced Tomatoes n maybe 1-2 cans of tomato sauce? I'm out of Tomato Soup bc my Grandkids have cleaned me out! Lol. This would be good for Supper tonight! I have everything else! Was loving this recipe until you put tomato soup in it. I'll have to substitute another type of tomato, but will give it a try.

I think it'd give it a nice touch of sweetness without being too much. It works surprisingly well in alot of recipes, I used to doubt it also

This isn’t related to your cooking, but I just heard you say you had Menieres! Ohhhh ….. this is sooo rare!!! I have Menieres Disease as well!!!!!
I’m deaf in my left ear too! I have limited hearing in my right ear.
Two hearing aides as well. I’m so sorry. I hope you didn’t have to go through the 5 years of major disability and vertigo and hospitalizations with episodes as I did. God Bless You.
