I loved the adaptation we millennials grew up with, not just the film but the soundtrack beside it, which inspired me to learn the piano. I couldn't have asked for a better version as a kid. But it's 25 years later, and I'm just as excited for Gen Z's to feel the same magic I did with this brilliant material. We don't have to mourn the adaptation we loved, that's for us to hold on to. Now it's their turn.
I have a chronic disease and I have it since 5 years so My uncle said to my mom I should leave school and get married cause I’m pretty and a lot of men will love me, so my future doesn’t matter... Even tho that my whole life is messed up but I don’t care I’m gonna live to see my dream come true and if I fail I’ll try again to success... *Guys pls Pray for me reach my dreams* ❤️
I LOVED IT. The cinematography, dialogue, writing, acting, it all seems to be incredible ! And what I loved the most is that it looks very balanced between showcasing life in the country and innocent, happy moments in the girls’ lives with the struggles women had to endure back then. I haven’t been so excited for a movie in this genre in such a long time ! Hope it goes well 🙌🏻❤️
@@kishiakaik6513 closed minded ? Silly comment really .. just saying the original one is still fresh and no need a remake,it's an all time classic ,same as all the Disney movies being done or remakes ... Plain and simple . I think the 27 people that liked my comment agreed.. greedy person .. go find something to do .
my LIFELONG FAVOURITE BOOK being made into a BEAUTIFUL MOVIE with some of my FAVOURITE ACTRESSES including EMMA WATSON oh my GOSH. i've loved almost every movie adaptation of little women and this will no doubt be another thing of beauty
Come on Hollywood, did the world REALLY need another remake of little women? I mean, don't get me wrong, this is one of my favorite stories and the casting looks excellent so I will totally be watching this but please, let's make this the last LW remake for the next 30 years at least.
I would argue that remakes are a reflection of the time in which the time the film is made and not of when the book is written. What made the 90s version interesting for me was that we got to learn more about the time and reality that Alcott herself lived in - the philosophy, the history, the politics. We will see what they do with this version.
Kristine Maitland yes I agree remakes are ok in some occasions to update them a bit, however there was a bbc remake done less than 2 years ago! And if ur gonna “reflect the era” why not adapt it to a modern time 🤷🏻♀️ I mean if I wanna watch little women I’m gonna go watch Winona, cause I’m sorry but this film don’t look any different from the original.
What exactly is the point of this remake? The 90s version is so beautiful and well acted. Hollywood is getting out of hand with making remakes of movies that do not need improvement.
I dont think a remake is always meant to be an improvement. Sometimes they breathe fresh air into an old classic, by offering a new version for the present generation. The 90s version was done so long ago, it will be helpful for younger girls of today to see a version with actors that are relevant in the present. Remakes are not competitions with the previous versions, they actually allow for younger kids to reconnect with older stories. Think about how many versions there are to so many literary classics- its a thing to celebrate! Besides the cinematography and camera technology keeps improving, so there is always something to appreciate. Just my two cents on the remakes issue. :)
It’s called an adaptation. The 90’s version is also an adaptation, and it was nowhere near being the 1st. When it comes to literature, a filmmaker puts their own vision and touch on it.
“I’m so sick of people saying that love is all a woman is fit for” - AMAZING! It's nice to hear someone who thinks the same way I do. All my life people keep telling me I'm going to, or I'm supposed to, marry and have kids. Now I'm in my 20s and honestly.. I just want to stay single for the rest of my life. I've dated, but in every relationship (and this may sound silly) I feel so lonely and end it a few months later so I can be single again. I'm happy when I'm single. I have more freedom, more time to myself, and I feel like I don't have to force myself to do anything. It's great. Whenever I tell anyone I'm single they immediately think I'm sad, lonely, need a man in my life, I'm afraid of commitment, I just want to sleep around with random guys, or that since I'm never seen with a man that I'm a lesbian. All of these are false! Can't I just be a woman who wants to stay single? So I really want to know the outcome of this movie and find out how the protagonist put up with all of this.

Kathy Murguia why can’t you old heads just stop crying for once Jesus
Well, I miss the old, old version; which I'm not sure if it is the actual original, with Katherine Hepburn.
I REALLY didn’t think the world needed another adaptation of Little Woman. I WAS WRONG. THIS DOES NOT SUCK. THANK YOU 🙌
That line from Meryl Streep as (Aunt March, I'm guessing?) actually made me laugh.
"You all need to marry well"
"But you aren't married, Aunt"
"Well that's because I'M RICH'.
youve watched the movie? have you?
What we need is a gender swapped version.
yessss
WHO WATCHED IT AND ITS IS THEIR FAVORITE MOVIE RIGHT NOW? ME
This is so much better than I THOUGHT OMGGGGGG
Also Emma Watson 😭💖✨
Why not include Saoirse in the title when she was Most of this trailer? Trash. So disrespectful.
She's literally in
oh shut up. she is literally the first one billed in the trailer. don't be so stupid.
Kristopher T they said in the title not trailer idiot
You're just salty cz Tim is in the thumbnail.
so what
Brought me to tears...."Love isn't all what a woman's made for" !
I love the score and don't even get me started on the cast.. this is gonna be great!
*Timothée Chalamet.*
That's it. That's the comment.
agree
@@edensylvester13 he looks pretty average
2:15 displaying timothee's name & then he appears with his god damn cute smile ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Isn't this the book that Joey Tribbianni kept in the freezer!!!???
That was The shining :D
Well, this is based on the book that Rachel gave to him
@@DosD yea but at last when he finds out Beth is really really sick Rachel lets Joey to keep it in the freezer 😂
@@veronikailovepuppies9489 yea later he borrows Little women from Rachel but at last when he finds out Beth is really really sick Rachel lets Joey to keep it in the freezer 😂
@@JosephineAmirtha haha ok
This casting oh my god!
so exited to see Laura Dern in this!
Laura Dern has been doing it for years but I feel like she's at the top of her game rn. Fantastic actor!
"Well that's because I'm rich"
I love Meryl Streep so much ;(
Crying about Beth already
A movie about women, yet the first name listed is Timothee's.
Hollywood.
Kenisha Paul well the main audience will be young women and young women seem to like him so that's kind of an incentive
BUT I agree saoirse is the protagonist here and she should be named first idk why they didn't do that
It’s called alphabetical order
Jennntennn Why is he the thumbnail??? I’m not a hardcore feminist but the story is about the sisters so they should be the thumbnail. Having him as the thumbnail makes zero sense but okay.
Spring Lady There are multiple trailers for this movie and a majority of them have the girls names and pictures as the thumbnails. He’s in the movie too so they chose that his face would be the thumbnail this time
It's the TH-cam channel that did that not Hollywood
I loved the adaptation we millennials grew up with, not just the film but the soundtrack beside it, which inspired me to learn the piano. I couldn't have asked for a better version as a kid. But it's 25 years later, and I'm just as excited for Gen Z's to feel the same magic I did with this brilliant material. We don't have to mourn the adaptation we loved, that's for us to hold on to. Now it's their turn.
i see timothee chalamet and suddenly i melt into a sappy puddle of uwu
Timothée back at it again with the dance moves
I have a chronic disease and I have it since 5 years so My uncle said to my mom I should leave school and get married cause I’m pretty and a lot of men will love me, so my future doesn’t matter... I remember hearing these words i was so broken because he didn’t courage me! Cause I’m not just a pretty girl I’m gonna fight for my dreams no matter what! Even tho that my whole life is messed up but I don’t care I’m gonna live to see my dream come true and if I fail I’ll try again to success...
*Guys pls Pray for me reach my dreams* ❤️
i’m a simple human, i see timothee chalamet. i click
Been waiting for Emma and Saoirse to work together!!
Hope it goes well 🙌🏻❤️
You got Meryl Streep as Aunt March?! SOLD!!!
MeganKoumori right?????
i love the acting chemistry between Ronan and Chalamet
yes and that is why this movie is gonna kill me
No need a remake the movie . The 1994 version it's timeless ..
I've seen all the adaptions of this book but the 1994 one really spoiled me. After seeing Winona Ryder in that role it's hard to accept a new Jo.
@@stefanie3831 and the soundtrack OMG .. incredible..
Can you let people enjoy things ? I hate closed minded people like you who doesn’t like the changement they don’t like to go out their comfort zone
I have watched this 10,000 times now, and i get goosebumps every time
I can’t stop watching this trailer! I love the cast specially Saoirse and Timmy.
All the cast are powerful women . Loving it already
SO EXCITED. WHAT a cast!!
This is my favorite novel back when I was a child ... so beautifully written by Louisa May Alcott
my LIFELONG FAVOURITE BOOK being made into a BEAUTIFUL MOVIE with some of my FAVOURITE ACTRESSES including EMMA WATSON oh my GOSH. i've loved almost every movie adaptation of little women and this will no doubt be another thing of beauty
Saoirse Ronan and Timothee Chalamet are always in movies together😩❤️Their friendship is so amazing ❤️
I'll watch this but Is till think that one with Winona Ryder seems to still be better.
Double Guitars it’s a trailer...how can you already make a decision, some people man some people...
timothee chalamet is actually a classical character living in this modern world. i stan
Kristine Maitland preach👏🏻
The cast is amazing and I've never seen the original. Maybe this is for the newer generation who knows 🤷🏻♂️
suspiria 2018 no it’s a remake. They already did a movie
True. At least now the younger generations get to know about this. I've never heard of the 90s version tbh : (
The 90s version is a remake too. There was one in the 30s with Katharine Hepburn and one in the 40s with June Allyson.
ifeelpretty57 yeah but the 90s version is by far the best. Winona Ryder was made for Jo. And yes I've seen every adaption of this story.
It’s called an adaptation. The 90’s version is also an adaptation, and it was nowhere near being the 1st. When it comes to literature, a filmmaker puts their own vision and touch on it.
Timothee is legit one of the most beautiful boys I have ever seen
This is going to be the best Christmas ever
Okay this actually looks really good. I had my doubts but I have to watch it now.
Greta, Saoirse and Timmy back together for another movie?? Definitely going to see
Wife: Oh, I want to go to see it.
Me: Uh, may be.
Wife: That's not a suggestion.
"You're not married"
Meryl Streep: "Yeah well because I'm rich" I FELT THAT
