    Great review 👍…as far as the down sides…you can spend another 20 bucks on some rechargeable batteries, shorten the wires with some solder and heat shrink, 3m double sided tape and boom. I’m sure litemode appreciates your enthusiasm for their kit however individuals such as myself who aren’t afraid to modify knock offs saw this video and said “180 bucks??? F that S” …in fact you gave me an idea on doing a video for my channel on how to properly do such modifications 😂 you can buy different controllers as well that will achieve the same thing as the litemode for around 20 bucks (also has Bluetooth enabled app to change the frequency of the lighting)…truth be told the litemode kit is made from parts that can be purchased from china because the litemode kit is assembled from the same parts in China 😂…all you’re paying for is litemode’s web site and Canadian import taxes 🤷🏼‍♂️

      @@Durty_s30 for 20 bucks (instead of the 13 the cheap kit costs) you can a better kit off of amazon…did a review of it on my channel and the link is in the description of the video

    Dude you can't tell the difference between the cheap one and the expensive 1 I think I'll pass on $200

    I am poor so I'll buy the one that cost 20 bucks over the one that cost 200 bucks

    I think I would buy the cheap ones, and fix the wiring issue with my soldering iron.

  • @promobilelegendplayer
    @promobilelegendplayer 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    No way that is worth $200. Nice cable management for $160 more. Nah!

      Yeah, I would take my soldering iron to the cheap one and fix the cord issues.

    Amazon looks pretty decent for $30

    Good review bro! Thx. I will probably get the cheaper model and then mod it some. Maybe shorten the wires and 3d print a cooler battery compartment.

    What a great review! Thank you. There are a lot more lighting restrictions for motorbikes than for biker gear throughout the world. For example, here in the EU the regulations regarding motorbike lighting are too strict to be able to put anything additional on it. But there are no laws regarding moto helmet lights. Anyway, I'll try the Amazon ones and we'll see if I get pulled over for them... :D

      So .. six months have passed since your comments. Were you ever pulled over for using the Light Mode in EU?

      Were u pulled over?

    • @Laurynas_LTU
      @Laurynas_LTU 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Silidor372 No, I was never pulled over for it. A couple of times I ran at the police checkpoints on the street (checking for driving/riding under influence of alcohol/drugs etc), they didn't say anything about the helmet lights. I live in Lithuania. Anything on a helmet, except blue and red blinking lights, is legal. My helmet lights are green-ish, yellow-ish and they don't emit much light, so they can in no way be considered confusing or impersonating the police. The EU is not a country, it's not homogenous, so you need to check what's allowed in your country.

      @@Laurynas_LTU alright thanks for the heads up. I know that, but many countries handle this kind of stuff the same way. Germany also doesn’t really have regulations regarding helmet lights. Bicycle riders can often be seen with helmet lights for more security in the dark. I opted for some red lights and will see how the police will handle this matter.

    Even though I love the LightMode and it is indeed objectively better, I do have to admit that at least as of mid 2024, they unfortunately take themselves out of the market by pretty much discontinueing every single kit outside their new flagship "night shift". Yeah it might be cool but not having other options anymore sucks

    Nice review !
    LIghtmode needs to engineer something smarter.
    Its latest kit is way overkill lol, in price and functionality. And Aliexpress kits now are rechargeable for below 20€.
    Yet, LM kits build quality are astounding.
    I hope in the futur he'll make something in the 80-100€ range, with LED but monocolor, no BT shenaniggans and simple paterns.

    Do you have a beeping noise issue with the Amazon one?

    • @txmdoriginal
      @txmdoriginal  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah. You will hear the current pulse on both units. It’s louder on the Amazon unit, but both do have that current buzzing.
