I've been fighting scam artists online who take my photos/videos and pretend to sell my kits when in reality, they're selling a piece of junk version. The biggest part of their scam is they ship out a giant boxy controller that has no way of mounting to your helmet, its not water resistant, constantly requires AA batteries, and looks like shit. Not to mention whoever is shipping that junk has no idea what a motorcycle rider needs/wants. No warranty or customer support either. These kits you see in my videos took almost 2 years of development in Canada, lead and funded by my passion. In the end, you get what you pay for.

Mr LightMode now that I’ve settled down with my driving I’d probably feel safe enough to make that choice. A few years ago it was out of the question, too much of a need for speed and I would get myself killed. I might some day if it becomes financially viable.

jay wilbur We've already made them smaller in 2016. The first gen controller was bigger/boxier, required 2 AA batteries, was not detachable, and not water resistant. This updated version is as compact as it gets without sacrificing battery life, brightness, or water resistivity. The whole kit only adds about 75 grams. I wear it with a Sena and GoPro and the only bulk I really notice is the GoPro.
Go for it, De Oppresso Liber! The Airflite is a great helmet for the LightMode kit and black makes the lights pop best. I've seen several people install the double GRID design and also some with the double BLADE (like in this video). Right now you can get two kits for $30 off too. What kind of helmet is this AND do you have any tips on hiding all the wire at the back of helmet? Some people’s wire you can see lots of excess and it looks messy.
It's an Icon Airflite (0:08). Watch this video and you'll see how I tuck the wires under the spoiler to hide it. Another tip is to avoid using the extension wires by placing your controller near the light strip wires. Lastly, use a black helmet to camoflauge the black wires.
No plans to do such a thing. First gen LightMode kits used 2 AA batteries but it was too clunky so people asked for something smaller. Hence we made a custom LightMode controller with a built-in USB rechargeable battery.

Can you do a video that shows the colours, turned both on and off? I want either aqua or blue, but can't find any pics or videos comparing the two. Are they different when lit, or is the real difference the unlit look? I think a video showing the range of colours on and off would help a lot of people.

The blue is like a deeper blue, while the aqua is like a light blue with a slight tinge of teal. The aqua is a bit brighter because it doesn't need a blue filter like the blue color does. Hope that helps.
Cool looking helmet. I'm a bit disappointed with the Lightmode kit that I bought as it's not nearly as bright as what it looks like in your videos. I don't turn it on at night anymore because it's pretty dull, even on a full charge. :(

I'm getting myself an Electron kit soon lets say I've designed my helmet how i want it and I still have some do wire left hanging can i cut the rest off and would damage my kit in any way?
Lexster Cutting the wire is not recommended but can be done with a clean cut. Just note this voids your warranty (on the EL wire only, not the whole kit) because the tip would then be exposed to the elements. You'd have to insulate it with the LightMode Glue and Accelerator if you do choose to cut it. Also, if you cut it, cut it before you start gluing it to your helmet.

Yes and no. They would have to purchase two kits, but if you buy two, you save $30 so it's not twice as expensive.
