    Back in the day, row crop cultivators had front and rear, so john deere had front and rear lifts.
    Also, if one wheel spun, then hit that brake and make the other wheel pull.

    Thanks for your video. A man just gave me a 2010 tractor, missing the carb, governor and radiator (Vandals) . Its got the wide front end like yours. He also gave me a JD combine ( minus the cutter head) that had caught on fire but has really good tires.. Its got bigger wheels than the tractor and I want to put the combine wheels on the 2010 Im getting parts off eBay. I didnt know what the shift pattern was and now I do. !! Thanks, !!!!!

      Takes some time to get used to the shifting on these tractors if you have never used one before!

    The hydraulic pump disengage pedal/lever is for starting in cold weather. It is much easier to turn over and start the tractor is the hydro pump isn't trying to drag fluid that is the consistency of toothpaste. This was critical back in the day when batteries were not as good as they are today.
    The outside lever on the far left is a hydraulic cutoff lever. I"m not sure what the logic is behind that, but that's what it does. If your 3 point ever stops working, make sure that lever is full forward.
    The 2010 is often maligned as "the worst tractor Deere ever made". Mostly by people who have never owned or driven one. It is true the diesel version of this tractor suffered from numerous engine issues, but the gasoline version was a perfectly good tractor. True, there are some design issues like the throttle that is too close to the shift lever, but the tractor itself just keeps working.
    I have a 2010 gas from 1965 with 59XX hours on the original and working meter and she just keeps on working.

      Ah so that is what that outside lever is for. My biggest complaint with the tractor is how hard it is to work on anything

    So now that you've got yours all fixed and pretty... Want to work on mine? LOL
    I just bought one at auction and working my way through some standard maintenance things while trying to get it going.

    Randy. Hey I have a question. I have heard of the R and M series JD tractors but where did the E series come in at. I seen a 6120E tractor today

    • @radozeman

      E series as far as I know is just a cheaper tractor, less options, more for a hobby farmer.

    Do you know what the small lever beside the seat and pto lever is for?

    • @radozeman
      @radozeman  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure exactly which ones you are referring to but, I believe there is draft control and hydraulic flow control levers

    • @TheHACKER6789
      @TheHACKER6789 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a little lever left side of the seat on the case that says L, LD, D. I can't find anything about it.

      @@TheHACKER6789 that little lever is the load and depth control. If you are using something on the three point hitch and the lever is in load position and it starts to pull very hard it will raise the implement automatically. If it is in depth position it will keep the depth it is working at the preset depth. In load and depth it will try to adapt to both load and depth conditions.

      @@kenprouse5840 my rockshaft cover broke so I got a different one. My tractor is a 61 I believe. On the right bottom rear is a lever about 4" tall, 1 lever, you can push over and it'll move. On this other cover there is 2 levers. Do you know what the 2 levers do? And no, I have no knowledge of these other then there lemons Yada Yada. But I fix stuff. Of all kinds and it's neat. John deere, fordson all the great badgood ones lol 😆

    How do you adjust the seat?

    • @radozeman
      @radozeman  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There’s a handle like thing that sticks out under the seat by your legs. If it hasn’t been used in a while it is probably stuck!
