I'm a (uni) student who's been using (and writing this comment on) the tab S6 like 2020 for well overr 3,5 years now. I just made the decision to not go with the s6 2024 but the S9 FE + you showcase. I did decide to spend that bit more despite being on a student budget just for the screen size upgrade. I primarely take my notes on my tablet so it's absolutely a win for me!
Sup bro. I hope you don't mind but could you let me know how ur experience has been with it so far. I also had the s6 lite and wanna upgrade now. Does it lag as much? Does it do well in multitasking? Is the bigger size worth it cause im thinking of getting the regular s9 fe with 256GB storage instead. Im a Uni student as well btw
@@TWUNE-oq1li So I have had it for about a whole month now and it's (pardon my language) FKN AWESOME! It has only once lagged, in minecraft PE because apparently my render distance was set to 32... eheh oops. But that's literally it! Videos, drawing, Asphalt 8 & 9 (or legends now??) even animating videos that are more than 5 minutes (aka HUGE for a tablet); have not had lag innit. School/uni has started two weeks ago and I instantly started using the Tab for that as well, as that was its main purpose ofc. The bigger scrreen size is *WORTH* going a little more broke for in my huble experience and opinion. Like literally it's amazing. If you put your SamsungNotes on 100% zoom and lock it, it nearly feels like writing on a4 paper! (it's only slightly smaller than a4, I just checked lmao). I have my book open and take seemless notes next to it, it preforms amazingly in split screen, and in Dex mode even 4 apps on screen without lag (1 notes, 2 books and 1 video). Yea not to sound like a Samsung fanboy or salesman, but this tab? Best money can get ya without going Flagship! I'm sure the regular will work fine as well for notes etc, but I really needed more space as most of my books are online, and I have noticed that also when in portrait mode and only taking notes, it's just far more comfertable than the s6 size was. Lemme know what you go for!
@hezvandermeij Hey, thanks for such an amazing and informative response. It gave me the hardest decision to make in a while 😂 I recently completed my final year of undergrad and for my final project we had to make a showcase video, for which the s6 lite crashed from basic overlay edits, so ur descriptions of performance were mouthwateringly tempting. I ended up getting the regular with 8GB RAM like the S9 FE+ base model, simply cause it was too large to fit on my exercise bike stand at home 😅 I am kinda ruing the decision since I wont get the A4 experience, better battery life and itll probably experience overheating. But yeah, I just thought i'd let u know since i comtemplated for hours between the two after reading your inspiring reply 😃
@TWUNE-oq1li Hahaha I'm glad I gave ya smth to think about! Thanks for getting back at me, I love it when folk do so after asking for help. Hope you'll be as happy as I am w it, even if you did go for the smaller one. Tbh with the overheating? Don't think it'll do so much unless you like game *while* charing That's at least in my experience with the latest Samsung devices. Cheers dude!
After tryin out a few. I finally settled on the 11" S9 FE 8/256 model. The 1380Exynos isn't a bad little chip. It's great for everything really, other than gaming the latest/greatest. The display is excellent. Despite being "only" an LCD...It's very good. I could tell a difference between the base 6/128 model and the 8/256 myself. It's just a bit more snappy seemingly in my experience. The speakers are also very decent, especially in a case like the Poetic TurtleSkin that projects the sound towards the user. Made a big difference.
Glad you're enjoying it. I plan to re review that soon too. But it will be similar to this video. It's pretty much identical to this tab minus the size and sales have been great lately
The long software support Samsung guarantees is somewhat unappreciated by people. I’d never buy a device that has good specs but is supported only for 2 years. Security updates should be mandatory for a minimum of 4-5 years.
Yes hopefully Samsung make flagship tablet like 2 in 1 with Chrome OS would be fire since long years support and better than Dex, with Linux support and tablet convenience also
Just got my s9 fe+ 4 days ago, and its been a joy to use so far. My only complaint is that the screen isnt as clear as i wanted, but its still really good. Im able to run games like Roblox and Genshin at max quality settings, and there hasn't been a bit of lag. It should be noted that this is 12G/256GB version, so im not sure if the performance will be as good as the 8GB/128GB version. Im using my fe+ right now, and the speakers are clear and the screen is bright. I would recommend this for anyone who doesnt want to shell out as much money on the S9 versions. Great video, as well! I watched this before getting my tablet, and it helped me decide on this tablet.
S9 fe screen is not good , should I buy or not or should move to s9 tab which has amoled , let me know which is best for long reading and working, TFT vs amoled ....
Right. Instead of releasing one flagship tablet and a bunch of junk, we are FINALLY getting a very good variety. The A9+ is one of the best budget tablets, the FE lineup is great, and we have all the higher end devices. I love it .
I just scored a Geek Squad certified S9+ FE 12.4" 128 GB wi-fi open-box excellent for $162...eventually. I used $200 in gift cards and I am getting $75 for trade-in on my 2022 S6 Lite. I think I "done purty good huh?" And it will be here on Black Friday. Total before all the discounts was $361 btw....and I bought a Black Friday deal 512 GB micro SD card so ill be good to go.
Like you mentioned in the video there are other tabs out there that offer a better value proposition, performance, etc. The only reason the S9 FE+ is so good is because of Samsung's software support. It would be a no brainer choice if only had Samsung included Exynos 1480 but that wasn't released at the time this came out. If they release a revision model with that SoC, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Great review btw
Thanks so much. I agree with you 100%. The other thing is the screen size too. The pixel tablet and the OnePlus pad are a little bit smaller. And you do end up paying a little bit more for screen size. Even then, I wish it would be a little bit faster like the OnePlus pad. But it's still good enough for most. The thing that does set it apart from some devices is definitely the software. And the stylus. You are dead on. Thanks for the comment and for the support
I got this tablet at $297 from the Samsung store. I use it for productivity and flowcharts(miro/lekh) along with office 365 apps. So far it's worth the investment. The speakers great btw. Good for meets and browsing as well. The spen experience is great. I didn't face any performance issue as well. I am used to oled across my other devices but it's LCD holds up to the mark. Battery life is great. I hope samsung doesn't slow this device down over the span of next 3 years due to updates. What makes this special is the oneui, idk if there are any other android tablet that can give you the same user experience. If you're not into gaming its great.
Thank you for the video. Just ordered one for 400€ (256/12GB) S9 FE+. I think it is a good price. Oh and I think your fingers are totally fine. Do not bother with all the unnecessary childish comments about it. Some people are just rude.
@@tolgaerdem770 I guess you can. I managed to do that with my Asus laptop + GlideX software. Im sure it should work with other software tools, there are a lot of them at Play as well as instructions on Reddit etc
I've been using old versi9n of tab S6 Lite for some time and quite happy with it but it is getting slower day by day. I just ordered fe+ for better note taking, lets see. Cool review!
The reason why you are seeing that is because I went to the web browser, Google Chrome, and after I logged in, I clicked into the settings and there's an install button for a web app. That's why you're seeing better optimization. Either way. It's nice to see there's some type of option. It doesn't do notifications. But I sort of like that anyway
In the long run, there is nothing more worth it than SAMSUNG, I have used a mixed range of their devices from Flagship to Budget and I have always been more than satisfied.
I agree with you. And I'm not just saying that. I don't like the fact that Apple and Samsung make very good products. I want a lot of competition out there. And we are starting to get it. But with Samsung, Apple, and now Google, providing a lot of software updates. And Samsung devices in particular have been pretty reliable. It's hard to recommend a lot of the competition when Samsung is really good
Great tablet! Ive have a Samsung Galaxy tablet yeaaarrerssss ago that i didnt appreciate, then I've had an ipad, (i was team apple for some years lol) but now i have the Fe+ and its awesome... You can use it as a second screen for yout laptop as well... Im a canva girl, and its great with creating and using it as a digital planner... When im on the road with my kiddos, i place it between the seats, tirn the volume up,put a good movie on for them, and PEACEFUL RIDE!This is very nice tablet for the price and you can do SO much with it.... DEX gives you that great desktop feel so thats a plus!
Thank you for your review. Just ordered one and got a crazy deal INR23500 ($281)for the Plus 8/128. I was gonna buy the ipad 10th, but that was INR 4K more and didn't have pencil, so the s9 fe+ seemed to be a better buy.
Right now choosing between OnePlus Pad 2, Huawei matepad 11.5s and FE9+. So far, in specs FE9+ is worse in everything, including the price, but the software updates and maintenance is the only thing holding me to consider it.
@@خالدد-ط7ر I love it it's one of the investment I made. I use it like a laptop (I bought a Keyboard), second screen and of course taking notes with the s-pen. I really long life battery and the image wooow.
I tested this one and S9 Plus, and I don't know why, but S9 Plus has better writing system somehow. Honestly, I think that is much more the screen than the pen/software, it seems the pen in S9 is soften and the quality of the writing is superior
Super helpful review! Just one question.. From 5:35 on, it sounds like this can't be used as at additional screen when used with a laptop coz it can't support the USBC connection? Or it's still possible? If not... Which other lower cost galaxy tabs would work with that? Thank u!! 😊
Hey man I'm wondering what you would recommend for a student on a budget between the fe+ and ipad air 13". The 13'' has half an inch bigger of a screen for a couple hundred more dollars but I'm not well versed on the techy specs. Would you say the air has features other than the screen size that warrants the couple hundred more? Thanks!
Well, that's definitely complicated. Both tablets have their pros and cons. Remember that this comes with a stylus too, so you would have to pay more for an apple pencil if you like that type of thing, and that's even more money in the hole. I would say one of the biggest considerations is your ecosystem. If you are all-in with the Apple ecosystem, you may want to get an iPad. It's a really big thing to be in two ecosystems and not everyone can do it. Because they operate completely differently. But if you have an iPad and iPhone, all of your facetime calls will go to each other, if you have a mac, it's easy to transfer files between the 3 devices, there is an integration between all of them that is a big deal. With that being said, you could always look to buy last years iPad air model. I'm pretty sure you can get a "refurbished" iPad air from apple, last generation, with 256GB of storage for $469. www.apple.com/shop/refurbished/ipad/ipad-air or you can get a 64GB of storage model for $399. You can find that same one new at walmart for that price. I don't say all that to talk you into the iPad. Even this Tab S9 FE Plus has some great open box best buy deals to bring the price even lower. And the Samsung has a lot of pros. Yes the iPads are a little faster. But you get a faster refresh rate on these S9 FE devices, they are water resistant too. You also get Samsung DeX which is a better productivity software in my opinion than stage manager. It comes with a stylus so you don't have to pay more. And if you are in the Samsung, or any Android ecosystem it's going to work better with all of your devices. If you're already in Android, I say get what you're used to. If you have Apple, I would say the same. Spec for spec: iPad Air 13 vs Tab S9 FE Plus: Screen: Barely better on the iPad, but maybe a draw (Samsung has a better refresh rate) Performance: Better on the iPad, but the S9 FE Plus is more than fast enough anyway. Software: Depends on what OS you prefer Productivity software: Samsung DeX is better than Stage manager Stylus: Comes in the box with Samsung Customizing: Android always will have more customization App optimization: Slightly better on iPad. In the end, you're still comparing the S9 FE Plus to something that costs more. Plus the stylus has a cost. I say go with your better os. I always recommend that. And if you need to save money look at last year's iPad air.
@@AndroidDigestthank you very much for this comment. I am looking to get a Samsung tablet for school and I was torn between which one to get, you just helped me figure it out 🙏🏽💕
Heyy thankyou so much for this video can you tell me how many software upgrades for this s9 fe + ? I can't find it online. And one more question your thoughts on one plus pad 2 ? Thanks you so much again
4 OS updates, 5 years security updates. I recently reviewed the OnePlus pad 2, so feel free to check that out. But simply put, this is going to be better for software overall, and it will get more software updates, but the OnePlus pad is going to have better hardware by a decent margin. It is a lot faster. But it doesn't come with a pen either. So pros and cons. Depending on what you need
For me, it's a choice of this or the s8+ which seems to have the better specs but just less software support and I'll be buying used or refurb. Guess it just depends on what I can find this black Friday for what price
My budget is flexible but I generally use my tablet for work (writing, reading, note taking) and basic entertainment (those farming games and OTT platforms). I don't mind an iPad but I've been an Android user all along so I'd prefer an Android device. My old samsung tablet is still great except it has a 2 gb ram and is super slow. Is this tablet still worth buying today? Recommendations will be helpful.
They should have created a version of this with the Top end CPU as well at the higher price point. That would have been a great marketing move because it would do two things, make those that want a little more happier and the second draw more customers to purchase their S9
It charges up to 45w. You can use a higher watt charger though. Doesn't matter. I recommend just trying to use a charger from a reputable brand, JUST in case, anker is a good off brand I like to use. You can also get a 45w Samsung charger But if you have a 65w laptop charger lying around that's usb-c feel free to use it too. It will just charge at the lesser speed.
It's coming very soon! Releasing an accessory video in the next 2 to 3 weeks. I was impressed enough that I'm working with them as a sponsor for one video. Honestly it's not perfect but it's very close to the Apple Magic Keyboard, backlit, a ton of travel on the keys, and I love the elevated typing angle, way better on the lap. A lot of good stuff. Trackpad isn't perfect, but it's still a great overall package
I am medical student which one I should buy Samsung s9 fe or fe+ Or apple 10 gen.....pls help My work is to watch lectures, notes and pdf and reading books.
Honestly I think you could do all of that on any of these. I really think it depends on which phone you have. If you are someone who's already in the apple ecosystem. It's okay to get the cheapest iPad. You'll have to get an Apple pencil on the side or something if you want to use a stylus. But it will work good. But if you're someone already in the Samsung ecosystem, I think you'll do great with this. It comes with the s pen already. The plus has a larger screen size. So you'll get that nice large screen. But if you want a smaller screen I would just get the regular FE. There's a couple of minor differences outside of that, but the main one is the screen size. So I say pick your ecosystem, then pick your screen size. And you'll have your answer. That's my personal take.
@@tamanna6124 Hi, did you buy FE+? I am leaning towards it but not sure if it is too big to handle in the long run. Does it get cumbersome? Indian medico here too.
@@chitraburnwal3083 see for notes making purpose + a little gaming (not too much) I have used both along with pens (OnePlus pad go and s9 fe+) Experience of writing was awesome with samsung as compared to OnePlus , redmi and apple I would recommend you to take either Ipad or Samsung for long lasting (not preferring any other at top priority as for mbbs)

Yeah the only way you could connect it to something is by casting wirelessly. But it can't connect with a USBC hub or adapter or anything like that. The USBC port doesn't support that
Than you for your honest review. could you help me with short reply whether I have to buy oneplus pad 2 or samsumg s9 fe+ for study purpose mainly and video editing for tiktok.
I have the OnePlus Pad 2. By the way, with the OnePlus Pad 2 you can trade in "any device any condition". If you just put you are going to "recycle" a device, they won't even require you to send anything in, it's $50 off automatically. And if you download the OnePlus app and go through there, maybe sign up through emails, you can get some discounts too. Sometimes a 10% coupon code or something like that after you sign in. With that being said, let's say you only get the $50 off. If you find the S9 FE Plus on sale, it will be a similar price. So the OnePlus Pad has faster charging, it has a flagship processor, vs a mid-range processor in the FE Plus. The screen quality I'd argue is better in the OnePlus Pad, but it's pretty close. The software is more optimized on the Galaxy Tab, it comes with Samsung DeX. And comes with an s-pen, those are the benefits. Everything else leans OnePlus Pad, so it depend son how much you care about those things. For me, I lean OnePlus Pad. but Samsung does much better with optimizing apps to work in landscape mode, it has better software options for that, the s pen, so it depends on the person.

I'd recommend the iPad in your case. It has more power. Even if you find a great deal on an iPad 1 gen back. It's a ton of power. Pair with a Bluetooth keyboard or mouse or something or a nice keyboard cover. And get the pen. That's what I would recommend personally
I'm a med student needed a tab for long video lectures and notes taking im confused between samsung s9 fe plus and iPad 10th gen can u plz help me out??
I too got mine - Samsung S9 FE Plus - this week. Unfortunately my display has yellow tint. I am trying to get a replacement but service store is not agreeing.
5G because if you get wifi you have to connect if your mobile is hot and it gets turned off so I recommend 5G dude but it costs a little bit more but it's more valuable
I just ordered one of these to use as a bathroom tv because it has the ip68 rating. Have you seen the prices for purpose built tv's not much bigger? For a third of the price, this'll be a more useful and complete device
4 A78 @ 2.4 ghz 4 A55 @ 2.0 and 8 gb RAM isn't bad for a topish-tier mid-range tablet for 400 USD isn't bad but once you start going over 450 USD it starts becoming less attractive very fast.
It's about screen size though. The S9 Ultra costs a ridiculous amount because it has a larger screen size. But around this price in the US, the OnePlus pad, the Google Pixel tablet, all the good competitors all have smaller screen sizes. Just like the S9 is ridiculously cheap with similar specs to the S9 Ultra, that extra screen size in tablets costs money. I'm not saying it's the best tablet at this price, just saying I think it's reasonable
@@AndroidDigestthese people never understand screen size is very important to some of us, there isn't a lot of choices for 12.3 inch in this price range.
@@AndroidDigest Of course, when reselling it it does get a lot of money., especially the higher end brands. But I've been on the search for a tablet and this price is to much for me, even market place it's too much That was the point of the comment. I thought that i can use this tablet as a second monitor for my windows laptop. So it doesn't have the bottom, link to windows or second screen? It can't be a second monitor at all?
Yes, it can be used as a monitor. But it's a wireless connection. It works great for use as a monitor. But as far as using the tablet and the power of the tablet, to run dex That's a different story. You cannot do that through a monitor through a USBC connection
This would be amazing for that. For one, it comes with a stylus. It also does have palm rejection so if you're using your finger to scroll up it won't assume you're trying to write with a stylus. It can differentiate between touch and the stylus. And the refresh rate is 90 HZ, which helps make things feel smoother. Personally, I use Samsung nodes, and it's pretty easy to go back and forth between the stylus and typing things. So it's really good for typing out nodes, and even using the pen to go back and forth
Three years ago I bought the s6 lite of 2020 and it was amazing for the university. After three years it is time to take the s9 fe. The first tablet still works but It has an exynos 9611 where for it time was bad so now is really slow, where the exynos 1380 is amazing because I have the Samsung Galaxy A54 and the experience is really solid.
Can you be accurate with the S pen if you write in the four corners of the screen? I'm referring to the vertices of the screen. I can have good precision writing in the middle of the screen, but when I write exactly at the corners of the screen, the writing is not aligned with the tip of the pen. So far I haven't found an answer to this.
When I write on the top left, right, bottom left or right, I don't have any issues. There are bezels there so I'll have accuracy issues if I write into the bezels, but if I stay on the actual screen part I've got no issues, feels accurate. But I do have to be more careful around the edges, since obviously it's easy to draw OVER the edges if I'm not careful.
@@AndroidDigest on my tablet, when I write on the screen, very close to the black frame, this inaccuracy in writing occurs. This doesn't really bother me, as it's very close to the black frame, but I'm unsure if this is a factory defect or if it's natural to the tablet. It's a shame I can't send photos here to demonstrate my question more precisely. I'm Brazilian, if my English is bad, I'm sorry. And thanks for answering me.
@kaikydias4367 i had this situations with both by S7 FE and S9 tab . Its the technology of the screen, its not a defect. Just try to not write too close to the bezels ( aprox. 0,5 cm)
I have an iPhone and I love Apple products but the price and the fact that I can’t use external ssd card is a dealbreaker for me so I’m seriously considering a Samsung tablet instead of an iPad. I just want to use it to study but I need a lot of storage because I have many books and notes. sadly the 10th gen 256gb is crazy expensive here. And 64gb is not enough
thks for this review On mark 1min What is the purpose of the language versions as you can see on your screen image from Amazon As I see this on Amazon Netherlands to like italy and france versions. ❓🤔
It's about warranty. If you have a US version, and you buy it in the US, you get a warranty from Samsung. It may also affect small things like the language of the keyboard or things in the settings, most of that can be changed later though. The big thing is the warranty
@@AndroidDigestThank you so much for this reply and yes as tech myself that wash my quistion about what I saw on amazon about these languages and tought why because you can change these. Thks again👍👋💯
Yes this has Bluetooth. Android auto might be tough. I'm not 100% sure on that. I will say if you get a wifi version you'd have to download offline maps of your area. But anyway, but 100% on this. Haven't ever tested it
It's only one year behind. That's a smart move. The tab s8 is great. I think you should compare that with the regular FE. Not the plus model. But still. If you find them for a similar price, you got a device that has a better processor. And a better spen and that's important
I mean that's a hard thing to test. Yes if you go outside, even 1,000 it's a brightness can cancel out your screen. Depending on the angle you are viewing the screen.
I'm still using a samsung galaxy tab s8 plus that I bought refurbished last year I still love it I might get the galaxy tab s9 when the tab s10 comes out when it's on sale
Smart idea, the S8 Plus is great. The S9 Plus adds water resistance, and a little more brightness, a few perks like that, a more efficient processor/better battery life, but it's not something insanely big. What you have should be great for awhile, don't let the hype make you upgrade too soon, smart idea to wait.
I've pixel 7a, should i go with ipad or s9 fe as a student ( only for doing lectures practicing mcq and a bit gaming?) I just want one that goes for a long run I'd a7 tab for three years but now it's lagging and the storage is full
I thought I responded to this but it's not showing up. Honestly I would go for the FE. The iPad will be faster. But I don't think you'll really notice it day to day. More realistically, I think coming with the s pen, I think that will be a huge deal for you. Also, you can still do some gaming on there no problem. And you also have Samsung dex which is a good laptop environment to get some work done. You can also use things like quick share and quickly share files between your pixel and the tablet. It used to be a Samsung exclusive thing but now it works across all Android devices. So there's a lot of integration you'll get if you go with Android. I think it's best to stay in the same ecosystem personally. I know there are some benefits to the iPad though. And iPads are definitely great. So not knocking them. Hopefully this helps you a little bit. Feel free to use any links in the description if you want. Even if you get an iPad. And you can come back and ask questions anytime. Sometimes I miss extra comments in the same thread. But I try to catch every new comment and new thread that comes my way
I HOPE U WILL GIVE ME A RESPONSE TO MY QUESTION, I am planning to buy a tablet, but i am bit confused with oneplus pad 1 vs samsung s9 fe+,which one is better for MEDIA CONSUMPTION, I am more in to reading and watching vedios,so i am more focusing in to screen quality ,would u please help me to figure this out? PLEASE
Well I haven't tried the OnePlus pad 1 in quite a while. You might not like this answer but they honestly seem very very close to me. They have similar quality screens. Similar speaker quality. I didn't see a lot differentiating their screens. Outside of a faster refresh rate on the regular one plus pad. That may make things a little smoother for scrolling around. Samsung's advantage is their software. A lot of apps require you to use your device in portrait mode, but Samsung has settings to counteract that. One plus only allows you to apply those settings to a limited amount of apps, so Samsung does have a little bit of more optimized software. One plus maybe slightly faster and have that smoother refresh rate. Hope this helps
@@MicKy-lu5lxJust go for OnePlus Pad 2 or Even OnePlus Pad 1,both are far better than those S9 FE series...OnePlus Pads are so much snappier, they have good software,Samsungs software is advantageous only in terms of update policy...Oxygen OS can run any app in landscape mode,so no worries...And the speaker quality is far much better in OnePlus with good bass and treble...It has a good battery life and faster charging than Samsung(67W)...
GSM arena always says this has a IPS display, I often go off them, but it does have a TFT display per Samsung. Practically speaking, you won't notice a significant difference, in my opinion. IPS is supposedly better. But practically speaking there are some REALLY good TFT displays out there, so it's very subjective.
@@AndroidDigest thanks a lot, heard quite a few opinions abt. it from people & was very confused. 1. Some say IPS is way better than TFT. 2. Some others say TFT is the name given by Samsung for the IPS LCD displays that they make. 3. Some even say that its an entirely different technology & TFT displays are dim and dull but do save battery a lot.
Question, would it be good to use a s9 fe or a s9+? Im buying my first tablet in years im not sure what to go for, its for both drawing and for coding/programming at college
You can forget tablets if you want to code in anything other than Python really. There are no native apps that are an IDE. You could however either do it online on platforms that offer an online compiler or run a Linux VM through Termux. I have the S9 FE and it didn't really work with the VM, so extra performance might be needed.
Looks like you got a little bit of an answer. I'm definitely not a coder and wouldn't know anything about that part. For drawing and for notes and things like that, for casual surfing, both will be fine. But there are some things where the extra power comes into play. It depends on what you're doing. And I just don't know a lot about coding
That's just not what I see. Any device you use for long periods of time will become slower, and sometimes a factory reset helps, clearing out app data for apps that are slow, things like that. The slower the device, maybe the more noticeable it will be as things "Slow". But I normally would say it's a software thing that can be easily addressed. This is a mid-range tablet with mid-range performance and should hold up well over time, and as things slightly slow, things can be tweaked to get it back up and running to a high speed.
All of them are good for different reasons. Samsung has the best software updates and it comes with an s pen. With a 90hz refresh rate. Google, depending on the model you get, comes with a speaker dock which is amazing for multiple users in the home. Adds a whole different element. But only 60hz. Slightly faster vs the s9 fe. But lower refresh rate. Again it's very even imo with the Samsung. Then you have the OnePlus pad. It's fast, a great refresh rate, but again, no stylus that comes with it generally, no speaker. It just has the better specs. But generally the less polished software. All of them are extremely even. The Samsung for Samsung dex, the s pen, the updates. The pixel tablet for the speaker dock. And the pixel software. The oneplus pad for the higher refresh rate and best overall specs
It has a better refresh rate, and it's a little faster. But it won't have Samsung DeX..I would expect it will have slower software updates and less updates. No s pen in the box. I think it depends on what you're looking for. I would say the biggest difference is screen size. A lot of people are comparing this 12-in tablet to the 11-in tablets out there. But that screen size is a massive difference. There's a reason why the S9 Ultra costs so much. It has nearly the same specs as the regular tab S9 but you pay like $400 more. Simply for the screen size. And a couple of very very minor things. So I think the FE Plus is better for those looking for a larger screen size. It's better for those looking for a stylus. And those looking for better software updates. I think the Pad 6 is better if you don't care about screen size and just need a little extra power. Obviously price will come into play overall. But these are just some general thoughts
The iPad will be slightly faster. But this is going to be better for taking notes, because it comes with the pen in the box. I'd say the iPad will have slightly better apps, like better app optimization, but it will also be more restrictive than android.. I think both would be great for students, I would go for the one that is the same operating system as your phone. Just for everything to work well together. And I'd stick with that. That's my personal recommendation. The Galaxy Tab also has an SD card slot which can be a pretty big deal. And smaller bezels. Like I said, a few different advantages. But there's advantages to both and each person will have to make their own decision
If they are the same price Honor absolutely crushes Samsung on the hardware side. Much faster, better refresh rate, oled screen. BUT I will say that Samsung has much better software support than most other companies, it comes with an s-pen, which has value, and samsung dex, it works on the tablet (not plugged into a monitor, on this tablet) but still, it's a great software experience. I am in the US and don't buy anything imported, but the honor does have the better value hardware wise. It depends on how much you value the software stuff Samsung provides.
I have An IPhone, my main purpose for using the tab will be to study, taking notes, entertainment like yt, music, maybe very low graphics demanding games sometimes, because i have a pc to play, and play pubg mobileon my iPhone, the only thing stopping me from buying the iPad 10th gen is the 64gb storage, whereas the fe+ has 128gb and also and expandable storage, the price is almost the same for the fe+ and 10th gen here in India, i wish to use it for 4 years atleast, which one should i get? Also can you highlight some performance differences between them?
You're in a tough spot. Typically I'd recommend the iPad to you. But yes, you would get a stylus, and more storage and expandable storage. The iPads will benchmark much higher with performance but in real world usage I don't think it's that significant of a difference. Samsung does offer several years of OS updates too, just like iPads so you don't have to worry much about software. All devices can feel slow after a couple of years, and a factory reset can make them feel like new. In the end, I can't give many examples, just expect some higher end games to run worse on this vs the iPad, you may have to play on the middle graphics settings for SOME games, and expect a little waiting. I showed performance examples in the video, that is often with apps pre-loaded, sometimes if you click them open for the first time you wait a couple of seconds, maybe an extra second vs an iPad, it's not crazy noticeable to me. In your case if it's only a $50 difference to get extra storage on an iPad I'd go with an iPad since you already have the OS, it just makes things easier, but if it's going to cost you $100+ more or if you need a stylus and need to buy it separate, I'd go with the Samsung, that's my take. It performs good enough for me, I think you'll enjoy it.
Right now I have 3 options in mind but I would need honest confirmation about which team and why you would choose it based on the price (dollars): • Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ (8/128 - $500). • Lenovo Tab P12 with keyboard and tablet pen ($8/256 - $430). • Xiaomi Pad 6 (8/256 - $400). The Lenovo supposedly has 2 years of software updates and 4 years of security updates, while the Xiaomi has 3 years of software updates and 5 years of security updates.
Honestly, it's a very close call between all of them. I will say Lenovo tends to be very slow with software updates. Very, very slow. Xiaomi has been unreliable at times as well. I've also noticed on occasion that Lenovo will have some big bug in their update, and if it's the last software update, too bad. Everyone is different in this regard, if this was a conversation between a Google pixel and Samsung it would be different for me. Personally, the software feels very smooth on a Google pixel and they have been reliable with providing updates. But software updates are very important to me personally. Samsung DeX is also really nice to have on a tablet too. When you mix that together, I'm okay with getting a little bit of a slower tablet in exchange for more reliable software and better overall software. Xiaomi is almost always going to be a better bang for the buck hardware wise. And Lenovo provides a good value here too. Money is really tight nowadays for a lot of people. So that's $70 and getting a keyboard with it can be very significant. Especially if you're someone who was planning to buy a keyboard separately. It's really hard for me to give you a firm answer here. I think both of the bottom two devices are going to give you a slightly better value for the hardware. I think the top device is going to give you more reliable software and a more reliable experience with updates and things like that. And I think the Fe plus is a very well-rounded device. Even as I've been talking about this and thinking about if I were making the decision myself, I would go back and forth because it's such an even decision. I think it just depends on how much you value the hardware, the keyboard, and the software. For what it's worth, Lenovo also makes amazing keyboards, often better than Samsung's. I would lean towards the Fe plus but not by much. And as someone who can't get a warranty in the US on a Xiaomi tablet. I would personally go back and forth between Lenovo and Samsung here. But I definitely can't make that decision for you. Maybe others will have opinions in the comments, but hopefully my ramblings helped a little bit
@@AndroidDigest Okay, thank you very much for the information, there I was looking a little more in detail about the functions of each of the tablets, and although I am quite attracted by the power, the speakers and the good screen of the Xiaomi, I have seen the capabilities of multitasking and multimedia from Samsung, and there I saw an offer of 600 dollars for the Samsung Galaxy S9 FE+ 12/256 for 600 dollars. And taking into account the value of the equipment when changing it for another in the future, I am determined that in the end the Samsung option will be the one that will benefit me the most in the long term. And I admit, my weakness is big screens 😅

Awesome. Hope you enjoy it
Don't think it'll do so much unless you like game *while* charing
That's at least in my experience with the latest Samsung devices.
@@AndroidDigest yep! The sale is what got me. First tablet I've bought since the original Nexus 7 lol. Cheers!
Exynos 1380 is definitely a pleasant surprise in terms of performance.
In India there's a huge price gap between the 6/128 and the 8/256 variants. So I ordered the 6/128 variant. I hope the difference is not too much.
Would you say it's worth paying 100€ more for the 8GB vs the 6GB version?
The long software support Samsung guarantees is somewhat unappreciated by people. I’d never buy a device that has good specs but is supported only for 2 years. Security updates should be mandatory for a minimum of 4-5 years.
Exactly. I'm not saying this is by far the best tablet ever. But it's very competitive for the price. The updates are a big part of that
Yes
Yes hopefully Samsung make flagship tablet like 2 in 1 with Chrome OS would be fire since long years support and better than Dex, with Linux support and tablet convenience also
kids need 5 years security 😂😂😂
Thanks so much! Means a lot

Absolutely. Budget and mid range devices are important. This one is pretty good
Samsung slowly once again bringing in some good products. Reasonable, Value for money and good..not crazy, or cutting edge.. Jusy neat little devices
That's a pretty amazing price, you really did good!
Great thoughts. Just factory reset it if it ever gets slower. It should be fine. Keep enjoying it!
Thank you for the video. Just ordered one for 400€ (256/12GB) S9 FE+. I think it is a good price. Oh and I think your fingers are totally fine. Do not bother with all the unnecessary childish comments about it. Some people are just rude.
Those wand fingers are nuts
The s9 Fe and fe plus can connect to a monitor via smart view then second screen. I use it all the time with my laptop

Samsung is known to make their products slow with security update
The same might happen with this exynos
It's good to see Twitter (X) finally get a proper Android tablet size optimization treatment. Good video! I might consider getting this.
@@AndroidDigest Ohhh okay, that makes much more sense now lol .
Fantastic video as usual.
Thanks so much!
It's hard to recommend a lot of the competition when Samsung is really good
I just bought one on sale at Costco on 11/17 @ $399

I tested this one and S9 Plus, and I don't know why, but S9 Plus has better writing system somehow. Honestly, I think that is much more the screen than the pen/software, it seems the pen in S9 is soften and the quality of the writing is superior
It has a faster refresh rate. And it's a slightly different s pen. The screen refreshes faster when writing so yes. It's a little better

I use it for school and it's more than enough.. i got 256 gb of internal storage and 12gb RAM.. wifi
Spec for spec:
iPad Air 13 vs Tab S9 FE Plus:
Screen: Barely better on the iPad, but maybe a draw (Samsung has a better refresh rate)
Performance: Better on the iPad, but the S9 FE Plus is more than fast enough anyway.
Software: Depends on what OS you prefer
Productivity software: Samsung DeX is better than Stage manager
Stylus: Comes in the box with Samsung
Customizing: Android always will have more customization
App optimization: Slightly better on iPad.
@@AndroidDigest yeah I watched your video thanks for that..I think I will go with one plus pad 2.
For me, it's a choice of this or the s8+ which seems to have the better specs but just less software support and I'll be buying used or refurb. Guess it just depends on what I can find this black Friday for what price
Yeah I'd lean towards the S8 Plus. But it's close and depends on your needs. The FE has water resistance too! So it can go both ways
@@AndroidDigest that's a good point. For something like a tablet that I'm going to take around with me, water resistance could be important

Samsung s9 fe or fe+
Or apple 10 gen.....pls help
My work is to watch lectures, notes and pdf and reading books.

Will the 9+FE hook to a hub for external storage or for a router?

I thought that i can use this tablet as a second monitor for my windows laptop. So it doesn't have the bottom, link to windows or second screen? It can't be a second monitor at all?
Yes, it can be used as a monitor. But it's a wireless connection. It works great for use as a monitor. But as far as using the tablet and the power of the tablet, to run dex That's a different story. You cannot do that through a monitor through a USBC connection

Hi really I need your help is it have a snapdragon 7 gen 1 or 8 gen 1 in Us version because that what ChatGPT tell me , thanks

Would this tablet be good for photo processing (Lightroom) and simple 4K video processing (CapCut, LumaFusion)? Tnx ❤
Do you think this is good for notetaking? I mainly want to use it for writing notes by using the pen so is it worth it in that department?
I just bought one for almost nothing cause I will be using a trade in for my s6, not the lite version. They offered 250$ for it.
Awesome. Hope you enjoy it!
does the exynos 1380 perform better in the tab s9 fe? i had the galaxy a54 and it was bad
Slightly better. But not by much
It is worse. Unfortunately.
0,5 cm)

What is the purpose of the language versions as you can see on your screen image from Amazon
As I see this on Amazon Netherlands to like italy and france versions.
❓🤔
It's about warranty. If you have a US version, and you buy it in the US, you get a warranty from Samsung. It may also affect small things like the language of the keyboard or things in the settings, most of that can be changed later though. The big thing is the warranty

I'm really new with about any tablet but did they say this doesn't have Bluetooth? Would this be able to connect to Android auto for audio?
Yes this has Bluetooth. Android auto might be tough. I'm not 100% sure on that. I will say if you get a wifi version you'd have to download offline maps of your area. But anyway, but 100% on this. Haven't ever tested it
I chose the Galaxy Tab S8 despite the fact that it won't have long upgrades compared to the S9FE 🤷♂️
It's only one year behind. That's a smart move. The tab s8 is great. I think you should compare that with the regular FE. Not the plus model. But still. If you find them for a similar price, you got a device that has a better processor. And a better spen and that's important
What about the nit (650)brightness outdoors? The sun light cancels this display as other tables? No one had make that test yet
I mean that's a hard thing to test. Yes if you go outside, even 1,000 it's a brightness can cancel out your screen. Depending on the angle you are viewing the screen.
Honestly IPS is better option that any OLEDs for reading and writing.

I'd a7 tab for three years but now it's lagging and the storage is full

How long can this tablet sustain..? I want tablet for long term use and study purpose
I want to buy this over the s9 ultra because it gets nearly twice the brightness from measurements I'm seeing online
Hey mate, doesn't this have a TFT Display.
Also, are TFT LCD and IPS LCD different, if it is, which is better?
Just wanna know will it be too laggy after using for sometime? Cuz I saw quite a few reviews says that it become laggy after a few months using
That's just not what I see.
Hey android digest , if you could buy one of these tablets. which one samsung galaxy tab s9 fe or the google pix or the oneplus tablet
@@AndroidDigest thanks I think I am going with Samsung
Is the Galaxy Tab S9 FE enough for note taking, media consumtion and MS Office work? Or should I choose Galaxy Tab S9?
I think it's enough! For sure. But the Tab S9 is great too! And that Tab S10 is dropping very soon
Xoimi pad 6s pro or Samsung 9fe
I do think Xoimi is better.
Maybe I'm wrong as i found some sell it as the same price on eBay as 9Fe.
Samsung has a pen in the box. Much better software. Better updates. Samsung Dex. Xiaomi has better hardware and better performance.
What is your opinion of the Xiaomi pad 6?
I like the smaller size of the Xiaomi
Samsung s9 fe + vs i pad 10th gen which is better for students??
The iPad will be slightly faster. But this is going to be better for taking notes, because it comes with the pen in the box. I'd say the iPad will have slightly better apps, like better app optimization, but it will also be more restrictive than android..
I think both would be great for students, I would go for the one that is the same operating system as your phone. Just for everything to work well together. And I'd stick with that. That's my personal recommendation.
The Galaxy Tab also has an SD card slot which can be a pretty big deal. And smaller bezels. Like I said, a few different advantages. But there's advantages to both and each person will have to make their own decision
I'll just planning to use it for essay writing and reading articles... mostly school stuff, do you think it's good enough?
Huawei matepad 11.5' or 11😊
1000%. Definitely great for that in fact. Will be good for reading articles, scrolling, some typing stuff. Great for that.
Help! Honor MagicPad 2 or Samsung S9 FE+?
Right now I have 3 options in mind but I would need honest confirmation about which team and why you would choose it based on the price (dollars):
• Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ (8/128 - $500).
