Anyone else getting Furina beta deja vu? People downplaying the gargantuan damage boost they give because the 4 star does something slightly better (hydro application with XQ and Stun speed with Anby) I really cant stress how bonkers a nearly unconditional 80% stun multiplier.
I think you’re right, and saving for characters that don’t exist yet seems foolish to me. The thought of being able to run any attacker with Qingyi/Rina is very appealing to me

He is severely downplaying the 80% daze multiplier increase that Anby doesn't give, with how time limited shiyu defense is, it'll be a huge time saving for one side

The main issue here is that him, as well as many people, don't understand that late Shiyu Levels right now are severely nerfed because most of the players are resource-gated - the devs HAD TO BALANCE the first few Shiyu Defense Levels with the lack of levels and resources in mind. Go look at Abyss Floor 12 for Genshin during 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 and even 1.3. Look at the enemies. They are weak mobs that you could deal with with a ton of different gimped units, because at the time just leveling your main DPS units to 80 and last ascension was pain, much less leveling and skill leveling 2 whole teams. The same is happening with ZZZ. People think the enemies won't scale in Shiyu Defense. The "My Zhu Yuan can already clear Shiyu Defense now very easily" guys are gonna get a rude wake up call when the Shiyu levels aren't buffing Zhu Yuan and the enemies are much stronger. As I said, we've seen this exact same song and dance multiple times in Genshin - Kazuha being easily the most glaring example, but both Furina and Yelan, also being examples.. People downplaying damage buffs from multiple teammates because the current content doesn't require that much damage. If you've been following some information we've had so far, we will not get another Limited Stunner in a LONG time, most likely for the rest of the year at LEAST. People skipping because "lmao I have Anby" will be the people that followed some Content Creators and ignored Kazuha on his release in 1.6, just to beg for a rerun after.
Exactly, also another thing is that he is supposed to advocate for f2p players right? Damage amplifiers like Qingyi will make even 4 stars DPS viable, and this is very good for f2p players in my opinion. Unless Jane is extremely strong that her damage output is enough to cover the 80% stun multiplier increase, I think Qingyi will be a safe pull for many f2p players. The same reason Bennett, Kazuha and Furina will be meta for a very long time in Genshin
Qingyi's core passive activates as long as there's an Attacker in the party, so she'd be a good Stunner for Ellen or any other party that doesn't need Anomalies. You need two parties for Shiyu Defense and you only have one Anby to go around. Not everyone has Lycaon or Koleda either.
Update - So far, Quinyi + Soldier + Lycaon is the best build I ever played. Lycaon and Quinyi put most enemies, including bosses, in a stun in a very short time, then Quinyi full gauge attack + Soldier 11 take full advantage of the upped damage.
I think we won't be getting another 5 star stunner soon since fire and ice already has one. So the ones missing are ether and physical stunner, but judging from hoyo's drip market, caesar is coming and possibly miyabi too. And it'll be a long wait until then, so investing early on qinyi is also a good option.
Miyabi at earliest will be 1.4. 1.2 and maybe part of 1.3 will be sons of calydon patch, section 6 expansion is most likely going to end with Miyabi if they want to actually sell the others
Seth can function as a stunner to cast Daze despite being a defender. So if you need a physical stunner, I think Caesar will be able to function as a good alternative.
I guessing it'd be better to skip Qinyi and go for Jane doe and King Ceasar, in terms of horizontally building out an account. Especially since Jane Doe comes with Anby
@@Lostinhishead seems like a good idea in theory but since the banners are so close together unless you already have pulls saved up it probably won’t be feasible for a lot of f2p/low spend players. On top of that it seems she will be a physical defense character so idk how impactful she will be.
amby: single target stun Combo can be interrupted stun dmg buff = 0% qingyi: aoe stun +interruption resistance stun dmg buff = 80% as of right now qingyi, as a polivalent stunner is better than any specialiced stuner such as lycaon, so telling people to skip her because amby is better is stupid. By the way, they didn't give her a stuner buff, as a stuner they just moved the multipliers to make her easier to use, the difference in stun compared to before the change is minimal. They only made her easier to use by buffing her basic attacks and nerfing her counterattacks. What they did clearly was a buff to her value as a damage amplifier (60--->80%), which Amby has 0 of. And just in case someone comes to tell me that I am an Amby hatter, I like the character and I use her regularly and I plan to continue using her after getting Qingyi, after all we need 2 teams.
Being objective towards a character doesn't mean u are a hater, anyone that says that is blatantly stupid. People seem to forget how not only does Qingyi core passive alone pushes her a tier above all current stunners but when comparing her to Anby in practice, Anby is just too troublesome to play due to interruption as well as providing 0 supportive utility to the team which Zhu Yuan needs as she goes all out when the unit is stunned and that's all unlike Ellen. Honestly, the shiyu defense buff for Ether dmg bonus is skewing people's perspective on Anby/Koleda and Zhu Yuan team performance and will be evident how much weaker it is once its gone
Period. Qingyi is really great even for the DPS characters that don't use that much of her 80% buff. Imo she's way more valuable than Jane, since we currently have 3 stunners in the game.
Spot on. Qingyi’s banner sucks though for F2P. Like you lose Qingyi 50/50 then you’re stuck with a bunch of useless Billy and Corin copies. Jane’s banner is better. Even if you lose you can still make use of Seth and Anby copies eventually Once the Ether buff goes away folks are gonna wish they had Qingyi’s Stun DMG amp. In fact ZY/QY/Nicole have the potential to become an excellent off-element team
Zhu Yuan team is easily clearing stuff just with Anby/Nicole, and my Koleda stuns everything in 2 hits usually. I need a second DPS, not a third stunner, and I think a lot of people are in that boat. Anton, you're fun but you can't deal the damage fast enough.
yea, A rank character is kinda pf weak, they cant clear later shiyu def. Im using anton and with good drive disk i cant even get s rank on few stages of shiyu. My first team of course ellen/lycaon/soukaku
I'm definitely still getting her for the simple reason of not being able to clear S on Shiyu Defense due to not having a Stun unit on my 2nd team. The end game has certainly showed me the value of Stun units in a team comp. For the most part, I plan my future pulls based on my current team comp needs... at least as I build up my main 2 teams. Once the foundations are established, then and only then do I pull on characters that I personally like, design-wise or kit-wise, and/or start pulling on new characters that introduce a new meta into the game's systems, similar to how HSR slowly introduced new metas like DoT, FUA, Super Break
first few patches of any gacha games especially hoyo games, u won't clear hardest content because the biggest reason is level different ( incentivize u to use money to refresh) so even with A rank chars with average drive disc u can clear end game once u reach lvl requried. Once every non-refreshers reach the max lvl of inter-knot, that's when mihoyo will increase the difficulty of end game and release Good banners (incentive to pull).
I don't know about that. I just got to Knot 50 this morning, I only upgraded my Ellen m0w1 to level 60 + her passive and 2 Boo level 60. I'm able to clear Shiyu 16 S rank and missing 40s to S rank Shiyu 17. Team 1: Ellen (60) Rina (lv40) Shokaku (lv40) - Team 2: Zhu Yuan (m0w of sold 11) Anby (lv50) Nicole (lv40) so yeah. If I'm able to upgrade ZY to 60 + Shokaku to 50 I'm done with the Shiyu 17 S rank. Stunner is not that important, you can still use Lucy Shokaku as a semi stunner to help you with that

I used Anby a lot, I have her at C5 with a very well invested build. Then I got Qingyi, mostly for my second team since she is not restricted to electro resonance like Anby. Holy crap, she stuns so much faster than Anby, like a lot faster. Also, having easy acess to heavy attack to trigger chain attack is so nice. With Anby, you need to wait for her last combo or ex skill. One thing that people often miss, Qingyi AOE is huge. She also has like pseudo pulling effect to group enemies. I know she will be better than Anby, but I honestly didn't expect her to be this much better than Anby.
I think it's better to wait until her release and see how she performs before making your decision. Qingyi's values lie on how her Stun combo is more comfortable than Anby (Anby 3rd hit can be easily interrupted), she can buff your Attacker's DMG with extra 80% Daze multiplier, and she will fit right in your 2nd Shiyu team especially if you don't have Lycaon/Koleda. For example, as someone who has S-ranked Shiyu 17, I recommend focusing on your 2 main teams (mine is Ellen/Zhu Yuan), so you can comfortably S-ranked the following Shiyu rotations. From a first look at her early access kit and the recent changes, Qingyi will further buff my Zhu Yuan team (Zhu Yuan - Qingyi - Nicole), which is good for me. Also knowing how she only requires an Attacker to trigger her Skills, means that I can use her with future DPS. Of course, I also saw teams which didn't need Stunner and can still clear Shiyu with ease. Reaching IK50 and lv60 characters will also boost your DMG enough that you don't really need a Stunner. If you need a 2nd DPS or like a different type of team (such as Anomaly), you don't really need to pull Qingyi. Overall, it depends on your goals with your account. Personally, I believe her role as a Stunner + Buffer makes her a pretty worth pulling unit before version 2.0.
I see a lot of people praising how great qingyi is and then saying she's mid and they're skipping her. It's annoying. Either she's a good character or not. If people blew all their pulls from Zhu Yuan just say so.
I will still try to get Qingyi, not only because I like her design, personality and need more stunners, but because Anby doesn't feel good to use, at least for me, maybe I need more practice with her but right she feels clunky to use in my hands (gotta note that I normally play with around 180 ping, at 30 FPS, so that ultimately affects the way some combo strings work and feel)

Interesting. I agree that Corin can be main DPS + Rina, but hadn't thought about how Qingyi with her "any Attack agent" ability buff could work in that team. I only though about Lycaon for sure or maybe Koleda.
"Doesn't give a whole lot more than Anby", "Doesn't look good on paper to support pulling for her" , etc. All while giving a Furina-level damage increase to any team, literally ( a character that fully changed Genshin Impact's meta ). That's like saying that Furina is not worth it , because you have Xingqiu. And that's wrong to me. I think people fail to realize how much value Qingyi brings to a team. The only good counter-argument to me, to not pull her, would be : "Well, if they're willing to release a Furina-level buffer in v1.1, who knows what caliber of monster supports we'll get in the future? So just wait".
Yeah, I am seeing that most content creators have this L-take, mostly because they are distracted by Jane Doe, which is telling. Also, considering that QingYi passive can be activated by pairing with an attacker, she will always stay relevant. Unfortunately, Anby passive is useless, future stun characters with better synergy with the existing characters will make Anby irrelevant when more 4-stars are introduced. This is the future of beginner 4 stars, except Nicole, who will stay relevant for a long time.
She’s not exactly giving Furina levels of buffing, everyone wants Furina, EVERYONE can make use of Furina, but Qingyi slower stuns and bigger windows are too much for some DPS, and if she’s competing with field time for your Ellen, that’s not ideal. Some people clear all content without stunners because of that reason, that they take too much field time in some cases. She’s great and a very good general buffer, but she’s not necessary, especially if you already have two well built stunners, or just two 5* stunners in general. And if she’s really that broken and op as everyone says, she literally might get powercrept in the next two patches if they start off this strong, and with how expensive it is to upgrade characters, it’s best to tell people to hold off until end game significantly increases its difficulty.
She is not a Furina-level dmg increase tho You're forgeting that stun state already provides a huge increased multiplier from base, adding to that multiplier is not that big of an increase as it seems Plus the fact that she is slower to get to stun phase than other stunners balances it out (Also Furina's value is not merely the damage buff, its her personal dmg on top of it that makes her broken)

I know the base starts from 150% on bosses, cause the game teaches it to you. 80% added to 150%, results in 230% , which is a 53% dmg increase, hence why I said "Furina-level" . But It's much higher than what Furina gives actually. If I go to my teams in the optimizer and remove Furina's 100% dmg buff at C1, I don't lose 50% rotation dmg from my DPS. But yea, Furina has her personal dmg. But I was focusing more on the buffing aspect. "She is slower to get to stun phase than other stunners" - You have proof of that? Because her stun profile changed dramatically for the better since 2 days ago.
I have to disagree with you here. In my opinion, if you have only one stunner, grabbing second one will be greater improvment to your account than grabbing dps or support. Qingyi can be run with any attacker and provide additional value in greatly increased stun multiplayer. Yes, she stuns slower than Anby, but since she is more forgiving as you can dodge and not interrupt her combo unlike Anby who lose a ot value if you have to dodge out of her. Her element doesn't matter that much, since Hoyo seems to be going away with element/faction requirements for passives in new units. At least for now. So yeah, imo she is great investment - unless you already have two stunners. I think it's similar situation to preservation/abudance characters in HSR. If you dont have two of the premium ones, getting them is high proirity. If you do, then you wont need to worry about getting new one for a very long time.
There is a great misconception regarding the need to have 2 stunners..You never needed 2 stun chars since any chars deals a certain amount daze even if they aren't a stun unit... The thing about this game is, Attack units can be substituted by Anomaly units as a dps and they dont require any stunner on team since it revolves around 2 anomaly units triggering anomaly to disorder and the last one on team can either be a support/defense.. For meta slaves wanting to be as optimized as possible for their account, building 1 Attack unit for Team 1 and Anomaly units on Team 2 for Shiyu is generally the best progression for their account.. This is especially true for ppl who pulls for Ellen since farming for her drive disk also nets them the anomaly set, and this can be used to build an Anomaly Team for Team 2.... Overall, Anomaly teams are cheaper to build since they only need anomaly proficiency and ATK% as main stats and substats, than Attack units which needed CVs, ATK% and PEN.. Qinyi is definitely gonna be better than most stunner on certain scenarios but Anby is enough as a sole stunner for most content until you lose 50/50 and got Lycaon/Koleda... Attack/Anomaly units are the foundation of any team and will decide whether you need a stunner, support or defense...
My only regret is that Anby isn't in the same banner of Qing Yi since I love them both and I still got no secondary stunner unit, so she's a-go for me. At least with the coin flip, I get a chance to have stunner for 3 out of 7 S rank from the usual 2 and any other spook is also fine for me! (hopefully not dupe is all I wished) Still, I also like to add that Stun & Atk is not end-all-be-all in this game. They also give you another option to deal damage with status effect by either mono element or overlapped them with others to cause Disorder, which is surprisingly viable as it allow you to build things in more static way rather than chance based around the critical stuff, and I think Jane Doe would probably introduce us to that aspect soon enough. Altho due to its new aspect, as a player, I also mostly used to the core mechanic of Beat'em up and Knock'em down rather than burning their flesh right of the bone, I sure feels more comfortable with old school style than the anomaly way.
I may pull for calydon boss but it depends on her gameplay only. I'm getting Qi and also skip the rat. I Hope Section 6 will have banner a bit later on do I can save up more.
Smart choice. Qingyi from a mechanical standpoint is far better than Jane Doe imo. Jane is great don’t get me wrong, but comparatively I don’t see how it’s even a debate.
@@chimezie7 I'm pulling for Jane for Anomaly teams so that I will be ready for future anomaly-centered content. Seth is also leaked to be an anomaly buffer. I also have grace. Anomaly/disorder teams don't need stunners. So imo both of them are of the same value it just depends on your account and what you value the most.
@@genoside5138 Jane role wise is good for Assault. I understand her kit, but it’s not as versatile as Qingyi kit. It’s like comparing Kazuha and Raiden. Raiden was great, but Kazuha was able to be placed in more teams. Jane will realistically not be able to be placed in as many teams as Qingyi imo. Jane will be amazing with Assault and Assault Disorder based teams.
@@chimezie7 Well Jane passive is also leaked to activate with other anomaly agents, so Jane will be placed comfortably with future anomaly teams, just like qingyi can be placed with future dps agents.

I appreciate your honesty as a content creator. I think it really depends on what your team composition is and what you need. This is my first gacha and I didn't know about account re-rolling when I started. Sadly I didn't pull Lychaon or Koleda so my only stunner is Anby. Now I eventually want at least Lychaon but for now, I would still take an S-ranked stunner for my main team. Don't get me wrong, yes Anby is good, in fact she's my favorite character. I have her background poster setup lol. However her mechanics take precise timing. Some bosses don't like pure melee characters (e.g. Hans) and Amby is really, REALLY dependant on that 3rd hit chain. If it's gets broken, she looses a lot of her potential. Now if you have 2 stunners already and your Anby is already maxed for lvl 50 then sure, feel free to skip. But if you started later and you are not up to that point yet... now is the time to choose: you'll need at least 1 stunner. Anby is good, but she won't hold your team by herself. Also she requires "field presence" to build daze properly. It's important to consider who your main dps will be and adjust your tanks/stunners accordingly. Did you pull Ellen or Zhu Yuan with your encrypted tapes? What Piper, Grace, Nekomata or even Lucy with your masters? You need 2 good main teams and since ressources will be limited, you won't be able to max everyone right away. If it really does take 2 years for Quing-yi to come back around, you've already Pulled Zhu Yuan and plan to use her as a main DPS, I would think carefully about your decision to skip or not. Just because you did, doesn't mean everyone should, unless your pulling limit is financial and you can't/won't afford more, then obviously don't and just wait. There will be other characters. The past is not warrant of the future. Yes characters will eventually get stronger to maintain cash coming into the game, however there is no garantee as to when this will happen. My advice is focus on what you need NOW the most. I plan to get QingYi and skip Jane Doe as I've already decided on my 2 main teams and I don't need a physical dps atm. Also Zhu Yuan and QuingYi fit exceptionally well together as Zhu doesn't need a lot of field presence to dps effectively in contrast to Ellen, for example.
Really thought out comment. Thank you for sharing. I try to make it clear that my videos are my opinions and then most of the video is me talking about coming to that conclusion. I always try to make it clear at the top but maybe I should pepper a few more "this is only my opinion's" in.
The best reason I'll still pull for Qingyi is her animation. You see: the longer you play Anby, the more you feel "off" of her. Anby doesn't look or feel like a stunner. Her animation looks like an amoured ninja with a thunder short-sword, doesn't have an impact at all despite the fact she can stun enemy really fast. I've had enough of that and decide to go with a girl that have a heavy stick.

Well i will still pull for her because i have all of the S ranks attackers but no S rank stunner so my stunner is just Anby lmao. So qingyi is my best pick for now to fill in the blanks on my teams, and her additional ability only needing 1 attacker is perfect for me, i can put her on my Nekomata, Soldier 11 and Ellen team just fine. While Anby will stay with Zhu yuan.
I just know that I don't want any 1.2 characters based off their designs right now and that 1.3 likely won't have Miyabi. So, pulling both Qingyi and Jane Doe will give me two units that can be extremely viable in the future. Assuming I don't get Lycaon by 1.4, Qingyi will be a great slot in for Miyabi. Assuming I get literally any other element anomaly unit, Jane Doe will be amazing to have for the team. At the end of the day, their versatility makes them worth getting because it means fewer pulls later in the game when you want a specific premium unit that requires a specific type of team (like ice team for Ellen) that you likely won't have all the members of. That said, if the ZZZ team does continue this trend of making characters largely usable in all teams, then pulling Qingyi and Jane Doe won't amount to much. It's a gamble.
SInce school is about t0o basically start, now that i got Zhu yuan and dint manage to get her engine, i am now fully saving for Ellen rerun, 1 cuz she is op as hell, and 2 she is my fav character, Qyingi isnt that significant, and Jane Doe is probably gonna be just a melee Grace in a way
As someone without a stun character other than Anby, I kinda have to pull if I want to stand a chance in Shiyu Defense. If I lose the 50/50 to a stun unit, I may skip her.
Follow up from another comment I left, i did end up pulling Zhu since it was guaranteed for me and I had a lot of fun playing with her. I got two separate teams set up now allowing me to clear more content and the difference in play style between teams is also super refreshing. 👍

I already have 12,000 polychromos saved up for Qingyi. I COULD wait for her re-run in the future which means I will have a lot saved up for Ms.Gyatatouille and her weapon if I'm lucky.
Always love hearing your takes. I'll... Probably pull?? I am, at the least, a dolphin. I generally pull when I have a 10-pull available, I buy the 30 day thing, the battle pass, and, on very rare occasions, straight currency, though I keep that to a minimum. I wouldn't dump in more money to get Qingyi if her banner was ending, but I'd be happy to have her on the squad. I do have some currency set aside specifically for Jane Doe. I won't dig into that. But the surplus I'd be down to throw her way and see if luck hits. I'll admit I'm still clumsy when it comes to gachas. Started Star Rail about 5 months ago and am just getting my 2nd team up to endgame challenges after spreading my resources too thin across everybody. ZZZ is going *a lot better.* I have 2 teams I'm focused on, not upgrading anyone else's skills until they're maxed out. Addendum: I want a Hollow Zero mode like Divergent Universe so bad, somewhere to take characters you've pulled, but not built, and use them. Only one place! I still enjoy building them! But it's so nice to pull a character in HSR and immediately try them out.
Qing Yi is way better than Anby, Anby only stun faster than Qing Yi if you do her full combo (3 BA + Ex SA) and most elites and bosses won't let you do that. Anby stun depend on her both BA and Ex SA while Qing Yi only need BA. Qing Yi has stun dmg multiplier which let your dps deal more dmg than Anby, she also deals AoE dmg and her ability increase atk make her a sub dps. So in every way I think pulling her is a better long term investment than other upcoming agents.
Qingyi getting buffed alright but how much is it compared to anby.. people pulling on jane doe banner going to get c6 anby any other way.. so the gap between qingyi and anby is becoming closer. I initially going to pull qingyi for easier time in shiyuu defense.. but i saw people clearing shiyuu defense 17 with anby just fine and dandy, she even got the best team with zhu yuan nicole. I think if qingyi compliment zhu yuan so much that you can almost turn off your brain when clearing shiyuu defense thats her selling point metawise... if it turns out the clearing time/survivability etc is close to anby, meta people will go off criticizing her and advise people not to pull..
Im still gonna pull for her even though I have Koleda just because her gameplay looks really cool to me and I'm not in shortage of S ranks since i also have Ellen, Grace and Zhu Yuan

The only reason for me to pull for Qingyi is to bring Anby back to Billy team (i currently running her with Zhu yuan), so I will still pull for Qingyi until I got M6 Billy :) (he's M4 already)
From her gameplay she looks super fun to play. Have been on the fence on getting her and just decided I'd do maybe one ten pull. Gonna let fate decide and then wait for rerun.
I actually fixed a lot of my issues after i swapped out anbys signature w engine for the shrimp bowl. I had no idea her signature was that bad for her especially since i have a 5 star version 😢
You haven’t pushed Shiyu? So you have no idea then how bad is Anby in dealing with any aggressive mobs that counts three or more. She rarely gets to the third attack string. Only thing she’s doing is dodge counter, wait for EX special attack, stun one out of three, then you can’t unload DPS coz other two mobs are still ganging on your DPS.
I think instead of looking at qingyi as an replacement for anby think of it as having an additional electro stunner also her kit is rather good and can lead to better stun rate This is quite similar to yelan scenario, players say if you have c6 xinqui you can skip yelan but yelan can be another xinqui or vice a versa. Also looking negatively (in terms of pulling) at a character for having a similar kit is a very superficial way to think about characters because there always certain differences and they do matter I have pulled for yelan dispute having a c6 xinqui and I definitely don’t regret it. qingyi also is on my list even though i love my anby Just food for thought for all players not a fight 😅 Happy zzz
What it all comes down to is which S ranks you happen to get. I got Koleda from Ellen's banner and Soldier 11 from the standard banner. Then I got Zhu Yuan with the Guarantee and M1 while going for Nicole M6. So although I lost the 50/50 on Ellen, I've still ended up with 2 teams by the end of 1.0. So the choice for me in 1.1 is either improving one of my teams with Qingyi or starting a 3rd team from scratch with Jane Doe (I don't even have Grace for her). Of course this is if I had to go for either. So I'm going for Qingyi, but if I lose the 50/50 that changes things. If I get Lycoan he'll probably replace Anby anyway, and if I get Grace than maybe I'll go for Jane Doe after all. If I get Neko than I'm probably not using my guarantee on Jane. Or I could get a dupe I guess... So yeah there's probably no objectively good pick, it all depends on your account. Though I do think that if Anby is literally your only stunner, and you're still skipping Qingy for "meta reasons" then you're on copium. "There are stunners on the standard banner that I'll eventually lose the 50/50 to". If that's not copium then I don't know what is lol
I got Lycaon already but will spend a few pulls on Quingyi, since I really like her character design and I want to C6 my Corin which is on that banner.
i get why ppl think anby is enough and in certain cases like when she has enough energy she can stun faster than lycone but lycone feels so much better to play he can disengage and get right back into comboing that just feels so good and if qingyi can do that i am ditching anby sry but to me gameplay matters more than anything

Since i pulled more for nicole m6 and have 30 pulls left for guaranteed s rank im gonna pull for her. Best situation would be - I get lycaon for my ellen and have guaranteed jane. good situation would be - I get grace for my jane. Mid situation would be - I get any other character that i dont have (koleda, rina) or i get qingyi (probably it will force me to spend money for jane). The absolute worse is me getting any duplicate (s11,neko)
My Zhu Yuan team with Anby needed 2 or more stun cycles to kill Nineveh. With Qingyi, one stun was more than enough. Getting to skip that annoying end phase of the boss feels huge. Very happy I got her.
I want to be a Stunner and defense main. I just want only want maybe 3 or four Attack units one ice one fire and one lightning. So I’ll most likely go for those.
for sure plan on pulling with what i have anyways,besides not really having a interest in Jane Doe I do have Zhu Yuan as well as Ellen and her team so I want the 2 teams as on lock as possible for the foreseeable future so while Anby works enough for now it will give me the ability to play a more slow and patient game in the future with my pulls for just stuff i like or look fun.
I don't get the focus on element when: 1 - The role of the character and their kit are certainly more important than the element, especially for a Stunner; 2 - Shiyu defense has 2 sides, having multiple characters to use of the same element or the same role is actually not bad at all. Just look at the current Shiyu Critical Levels, both level 6 and 7 are Ether weak for both sides. By saying Qingyi is a skip because she is an Electric Stunner you also say that Jane Doe should be skipped because she is a Physical Anomaly, and Piper is right there. That means the entire 1.1 patch is a skip just because of a character role and element when, if you have played Genshin Late game, having units of the same element and role actually is important. If Harumasa is an Electric Attacker then he should be skipped because Anton is there? What if Yanagi is Electric Anomaly? I mean, Grace exists, and anyone who wants an Electric Anomaly can guarantee her eventually. It's the same about people freaking out abouy Miyabi being an Ice Attacker. It just doesn't matter and is such a limited way to look at the content.
I'm pulling because waifu, because she'll complete my Zhu team (which is far from necessary), because idc for the next two S, and because I'll only have my second team finished with Miyabi which I'll have enough for anyway. Gotta make my Grace team work in the meantime and she also wants Anby... So i think she's justified in my specific case, albeit barely.

People need to remember S-ranks aren't meant to make A-ranks completely obsolete. Hoyoverse wants to sell S-ranks, yes, but they wouldn't waste their resources on making A-ranks if they're all meant to be outright replaced. That's why Anby has so much stun potential to the point of competing with if not outmatching S-ranks. As an A-rank, she needs to hyper focus into a niche just to compete with the more generally capable S-ranks.
I'm still sticking to my philosophy of picking up any green character I see. That and because I have neither Lycaon or Koleda. So Qingyi is the perfect pull for my account.
It really depends on your account. I don't think it's fair to be making these claims about how Qingyi "looks on paper" when the people who have had experience with her in early access have sung her praises before she even got buffed. Your points would have a lot more merit to them if you actually went into depth on her kit and explained why you don't think she holds as much value instead of just claiming that Anby is "good enough" and leaving it at that. Looking forward to the inevitable backpedalling when her banner drops.
💯agree. The second-team build unknowns were the killer for me. Until I know who my S-rank DPS is on team two, or if I promote a new team to team one and send Gentle House to team two, it doesn't make sense to pull for a "better Anby" now. Maybe later, but not now. The main downside I see is that now I have to fully commit to leveling Anby up. I've been kind of stingy with doing that, since I wasn't sure if I was going to replace her or not, but now that I've made up my mind to keep her on at least one team, I can spend the leveling resources without FOMO.
for the overwhelming majority of low-spend or f2p accounts, having a second Stun Agent to slot into teams that are anchored by Attackers will be much, much more valuable than the characters we've seen in drip or even been able to trial in 1.1, and the fact that Qingyi is also Electric is almost completely irrelevant, so i'm curious why that was a point that was being made in the video
I'm going to dissagree on that very hard, unit that can very easily and consistently increase entire party's damage by 80% when enemy is stunned is a huge asset and Qingyi will probably not only age well but people will beg for her to be rerun quickly same way they did with Kazuha in version 2 Genshin
I do think the gap between her and kazu is smaller then that of her and anby, that and ceasar looks to be competitive as a genralist with different bis teams But yes every time a 4 star up grade comes out this song and dance always happens

I was skipping by default just cuz nothing about her appealed to me. I COMPLETELY ignore everything Meta and Teambuilding related anyways and with Jane upcoming? I kinda figured I'd wait to see how she played since Qingyi has nothing to appeal to me personally. I don't have a 2nd stun so having a flexible option in Qingyi is really tempting. I'll just go to the guaranteed and if I lose the 50/50 I'll probably skip and go back to saving.
I never give a second to pull her and with this videos I confirm that because I'm already using Anby as my stunner (plus I don't have another one, she is my only stunner) along with Grace and Anton. The one who catch my eye is Jane for three reasons: the one you "already show" in the video, that she have an onee-san vibe and finally, my curiosity to see how good she could be work with Grace as a duo of Abnormal units. But I have to make a decision because Caesar catch my attention for the 1.2 and with the chance to see Miyabi on 1.3 is hard to me to decide wich one skip to keep a healthy amount of poly for Miyabi.
I'll see if I win the 50/50 with her and then decide. If I get one of the standard stunners then I'll skip her. No point in rushing to expand the roster this early anyway as we don't have enough resources to level up characters. I can't even get my main DPS up to lvl60 yet so how can I build a new character when I still need to do that as well as for my 2nd team and supports.
I’m pulling her as a Koleda replacement on my S11 team, actually. I’m very content with my Zhu yuan team with anby, but I feel like my S11 team struggles the moment there’s more than 1 enemy on the field, especially Koleda with her slower attack animations getting exploited. With Qingyi’s quicker reaction times and AoE, I feel like she solves both of the problems that team has. AoE stun means Lucy chain attacks which means everything dies. Good news is after Qingyi I think I’m set to save for the rest of 1.1 and 1.2; I have a built Piper for Phys and Corin/Billy if I want an attack unit for Shiyu, and I can’t imagine Burnice is going to add more value to my S11 team than Qingyi will.
This feels reminiscent of the Yelan and Xingqui situation, both are functionally the same character and fill the same role in your team slot, but while Xingxue provides more defence and sustain, Yelan is just straight up more powerful and even a lower invested Yelan can usually fill in as a sub dps better than a c6 Xingque can. So despite Qingyi essentially being "just stronger Andy", I do think she'll pull a Yelan in the future once players recognise the added value she can bring as an electric stun. Plus, she's girly pop and that's enough for me.

@@jenpingc. The main issue here is that him, as well as many people, don't understand that late Shiyu Levels right now are severely nerfed because most of the players are resource-gated - the devs HAD TO BALANCE the first few Shiyu Defense Levels with the lack of levels and resources in mind.
Go look at Abyss Floor 12 for Genshin during 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 and even 1.3. Look at the enemies. They are weak mobs that you could deal with with a ton of different gimped units, because at the time just leveling your main DPS units to 80 and last ascension was pain, much less leveling and skill leveling 2 whole teams.
The same is happening with ZZZ. People think the enemies won't scale in Shiyu Defense. The "My Zhu Yuan can already clear Shiyu Defense now very easily" guys are gonna get a rude wake up call when the Shiyu levels aren't buffing Zhu Yuan and the enemies are much stronger.
As I said, we've seen this exact same song and dance multiple times in Genshin - Kazuha being easily the most glaring example, but both Furina and Yelan, also being examples.. People downplaying damage buffs from multiple teammates because the current content doesn't require that much damage.
If you've been following some information we've had so far, we will not get another Limited Stunner in a LONG time, most likely for the rest of the year at LEAST. People skipping because "lmao I have Anby" will be the people that followed some Content Creators and ignored Kazuha on his release in 1.6, just to beg for a rerun after.
Exactly, also another thing is that he is supposed to advocate for f2p players right? Damage amplifiers like Qingyi will make even 4 stars DPS viable, and this is very good for f2p players in my opinion. Unless Jane is extremely strong that her damage output is enough to cover the 80% stun multiplier increase, I think Qingyi will be a safe pull for many f2p players.

Qingyi's core passive activates as long as there's an Attacker in the party, so she'd be a good Stunner for Ellen or any other party that doesn't need Anomalies. You need two parties for Shiyu Defense and you only have one Anby to go around. Not everyone has Lycaon or Koleda either.

Update - So far, Quinyi + Soldier + Lycaon is the best build I ever played. Lycaon and Quinyi put most enemies, including bosses, in a stun in a very short time, then Quinyi full gauge attack + Soldier 11 take full advantage of the upped damage.

I think we won't be getting another 5 star stunner soon since fire and ice already has one. So the ones missing are ether and physical stunner, but judging from hoyo's drip market, caesar is coming and possibly miyabi too. And it'll be a long wait until then, so investing early on qinyi is also a good option.
Miyabi at earliest will be 1.4. 1.2 and maybe part of 1.3 will be sons of calydon patch, section 6 expansion is most likely going to end with Miyabi if they want to actually sell the others
Seth can function as a stunner to cast Daze despite being a defender. So if you need a physical stunner, I think Caesar will be able to function as a good alternative.

as of right now qingyi, as a polivalent stunner is better than any specialiced stuner such as lycaon, so telling people to skip her because amby is better is stupid.
By the way, they didn't give her a stuner buff, as a stuner they just moved the multipliers to make her easier to use, the difference in stun compared to before the change is minimal. They only made her easier to use by buffing her basic attacks and nerfing her counterattacks. What they did clearly was a buff to her value as a damage amplifier (60--->80%), which Amby has 0 of.
And just in case someone comes to tell me that I am an Amby hatter, I like the character and I use her regularly and I plan to continue using her after getting Qingyi, after all we need 2 teams.
Being objective towards a character doesn't mean u are a hater, anyone that says that is blatantly stupid. People seem to forget how not only does Qingyi core passive alone pushes her a tier above all current stunners but when comparing her to Anby in practice, Anby is just too troublesome to play due to interruption as well as providing 0 supportive utility to the team which Zhu Yuan needs as she goes all out when the unit is stunned and that's all unlike Ellen. Honestly, the shiyu defense buff for Ether dmg bonus is skewing people's perspective on Anby/Koleda and Zhu Yuan team performance and will be evident how much weaker it is once its gone

Period. Qingyi is really great even for the DPS characters that don't use that much of her 80% buff. Imo she's way more valuable than Jane, since we currently have 3 stunners in the game.

Zhu Yuan team is easily clearing stuff just with Anby/Nicole, and my Koleda stuns everything in 2 hits usually. I need a second DPS, not a third stunner, and I think a lot of people are in that boat.

I'm definitely still getting her for the simple reason of not being able to clear S on Shiyu Defense due to not having a Stun unit on my 2nd team. The end game has certainly showed me the value of Stun units in a team comp. For the most part, I plan my future pulls based on my current team comp needs... at least as I build up my main 2 teams. Once the foundations are established, then and only then do I pull on characters that I personally like, design-wise or kit-wise, and/or start pulling on new characters that introduce a new meta into the game's systems, similar to how HSR slowly introduced new metas like DoT, FUA, Super Break
Yup it’s completely based on who you have. Get those 2 teams complete then you can have lots of fun
first few patches of any gacha games especially hoyo games, u won't clear hardest content because the biggest reason is level different ( incentivize u to use money to refresh) so even with A rank chars with average drive disc u can clear end game once u reach lvl requried. Once every non-refreshers reach the max lvl of inter-knot, that's when mihoyo will increase the difficulty of end game and release Good banners (incentive to pull).
I don't know about that. I just got to Knot 50 this morning, I only upgraded my Ellen m0w1 to level 60 + her passive and 2 Boo level 60. I'm able to clear Shiyu 16 S rank and missing 40s to S rank Shiyu 17. Team 1: Ellen (60) Rina (lv40) Shokaku (lv40) - Team 2: Zhu Yuan (m0w of sold 11) Anby (lv50) Nicole (lv40) so yeah. If I'm able to upgrade ZY to 60 + Shokaku to 50 I'm done with the Shiyu 17 S rank. Stunner is not that important, you can still use Lucy Shokaku as a semi stunner to help you with that

I used Anby a lot, I have her at C5 with a very well invested build.
Then I got Qingyi, mostly for my second team since she is not restricted to electro resonance like Anby.
Holy crap, she stuns so much faster than Anby, like a lot faster.
Also, having easy acess to heavy attack to trigger chain attack is so nice.
With Anby, you need to wait for her last combo or ex skill.
One thing that people often miss, Qingyi AOE is huge. She also has like pseudo pulling effect to group enemies.
I know she will be better than Anby, but I honestly didn't expect her to be this much better than Anby.
I think it's better to wait until her release and see how she performs before making your decision.
Qingyi's values lie on how her Stun combo is more comfortable than Anby (Anby 3rd hit can be easily interrupted), she can buff your Attacker's DMG with extra 80% Daze multiplier, and she will fit right in your 2nd Shiyu team especially if you don't have Lycaon/Koleda.
For example, as someone who has S-ranked Shiyu 17, I recommend focusing on your 2 main teams (mine is Ellen/Zhu Yuan), so you can comfortably S-ranked the following Shiyu rotations. From a first look at her early access kit and the recent changes, Qingyi will further buff my Zhu Yuan team (Zhu Yuan - Qingyi - Nicole), which is good for me. Also knowing how she only requires an Attacker to trigger her Skills, means that I can use her with future DPS.
Of course, I also saw teams which didn't need Stunner and can still clear Shiyu with ease. Reaching IK50 and lv60 characters will also boost your DMG enough that you don't really need a Stunner. If you need a 2nd DPS or like a different type of team (such as Anomaly), you don't really need to pull Qingyi.
Overall, it depends on your goals with your account. Personally, I believe her role as a Stunner + Buffer makes her a pretty worth pulling unit before version 2.0.
I see a lot of people praising how great qingyi is and then saying she's mid and they're skipping her. It's annoying. Either she's a good character or not. If people blew all their pulls from Zhu Yuan just say so.

So i pulled qing yi as my 1st S-rank stunner and wow it felt like going from economy class to business. I run the f2p team witH ZY as my attacker.
Getting a character you want makes you keep on playing. The sole reason is to have fun.
I will still try to get Qingyi, not only because I like her design, personality and need more stunners, but because Anby doesn't feel good to use, at least for me, maybe I need more practice with her but right she feels clunky to use in my hands (gotta note that I normally play with around 180 ping, at 30 FPS, so that ultimately affects the way some combo strings work and feel)

Interesting. I agree that Corin can be main DPS + Rina, but hadn't thought about how Qingyi with her "any Attack agent" ability buff could work in that team. I only though about Lycaon for sure or maybe Koleda.

Yeah, I am seeing that most content creators have this L-take, mostly because they are distracted by Jane Doe, which is telling. Also, considering that QingYi passive can be activated by pairing with an attacker, she will always stay relevant. Unfortunately, Anby passive is useless, future stun characters with better synergy with the existing characters will make Anby irrelevant when more 4-stars are introduced. This is the future of beginner 4 stars, except Nicole, who will stay relevant for a long time.
She’s not exactly giving Furina levels of buffing, everyone wants Furina, EVERYONE can make use of Furina, but Qingyi slower stuns and bigger windows are too much for some DPS, and if she’s competing with field time for your Ellen, that’s not ideal. Some people clear all content without stunners because of that reason, that they take too much field time in some cases. She’s great and a very good general buffer, but she’s not necessary, especially if you already have two well built stunners, or just two 5* stunners in general. And if she’s really that broken and op as everyone says, she literally might get powercrept in the next two patches if they start off this strong, and with how expensive it is to upgrade characters, it’s best to tell people to hold off until end game significantly increases its difficulty.
She is not a Furina-level dmg increase tho
You're forgeting that stun state already provides a huge increased multiplier from base, adding to that multiplier is not that big of an increase as it seems
Plus the fact that she is slower to get to stun phase than other stunners balances it out
(Also Furina's value is not merely the damage buff, its her personal dmg on top of it that makes her broken)

80% added to 150%, results in 230% , which is a 53% dmg increase, hence why I said "Furina-level" .
But It's much higher than what Furina gives actually. If I go to my teams in the optimizer and remove Furina's 100% dmg buff at C1, I don't lose 50% rotation dmg from my DPS.
But yea, Furina has her personal dmg. But I was focusing more on the buffing aspect.

I have to disagree with you here. In my opinion, if you have only one stunner, grabbing second one will be greater improvment to your account than grabbing dps or support. Qingyi can be run with any attacker and provide additional value in greatly increased stun multiplayer. Yes, she stuns slower than Anby, but since she is more forgiving as you can dodge and not interrupt her combo unlike Anby who lose a ot value if you have to dodge out of her.
Her element doesn't matter that much, since Hoyo seems to be going away with element/faction requirements for passives in new units. At least for now.
So yeah, imo she is great investment - unless you already have two stunners. I think it's similar situation to preservation/abudance characters in HSR. If you dont have two of the premium ones, getting them is high proirity. If you do, then you wont need to worry about getting new one for a very long time.

There is a great misconception regarding the need to have 2 stunners..You never needed 2 stun chars since any chars deals a certain amount daze even if they aren't a stun unit... The thing about this game is, Attack units can be substituted by Anomaly units as a dps and they dont require any stunner on team since it revolves around 2 anomaly units triggering anomaly to disorder and the last one on team can either be a support/defense..
For meta slaves wanting to be as optimized as possible for their account, building 1 Attack unit for Team 1 and Anomaly units on Team 2 for Shiyu is generally the best progression for their account.. This is especially true for ppl who pulls for Ellen since farming for her drive disk also nets them the anomaly set, and this can be used to build an Anomaly Team for Team 2.... Overall, Anomaly teams are cheaper to build since they only need anomaly proficiency and ATK% as main stats and substats, than Attack units which needed CVs, ATK% and PEN..
Qinyi is definitely gonna be better than most stunner on certain scenarios but Anby is enough as a sole stunner for most content until you lose 50/50 and got Lycaon/Koleda... Attack/Anomaly units are the foundation of any team and will decide whether you need a stunner, support or defense...
My only regret is that Anby isn't in the same banner of Qing Yi since I love them both and I still got no secondary stunner unit, so she's a-go for me.
At least with the coin flip, I get a chance to have stunner for 3 out of 7 S rank from the usual 2 and any other spook is also fine for me! (hopefully not dupe is all I wished)
Still, I also like to add that Stun & Atk is not end-all-be-all in this game. They also give you another option to deal damage with status effect by either mono element or overlapped them with others to cause Disorder, which is surprisingly viable as it allow you to build things in more static way rather than chance based around the critical stuff, and I think Jane Doe would probably introduce us to that aspect soon enough.
Altho due to its new aspect, as a player, I also mostly used to the core mechanic of Beat'em up and Knock'em down rather than burning their flesh right of the bone, I sure feels more comfortable with old school style than the anomaly way.

Smart choice. Qingyi from a mechanical standpoint is far better than Jane Doe imo. Jane is great don’t get me wrong, but comparatively I don’t see how it’s even a debate.

Anomaly/disorder teams don't need stunners. So imo both of them are of the same value it just depends on your account and what you value the most.
@@genoside5138 Jane role wise is good for Assault. I understand her kit, but it’s not as versatile as Qingyi kit. It’s like comparing Kazuha and Raiden. Raiden was great, but Kazuha was able to be placed in more teams. Jane will realistically not be able to be placed in as many teams as Qingyi imo. Jane will be amazing with Assault and Assault Disorder based teams.

I appreciate your honesty as a content creator. I think it really depends on what your team composition is and what you need. This is my first gacha and I didn't know about account re-rolling when I started. Sadly I didn't pull Lychaon or Koleda so my only stunner is Anby. Now I eventually want at least Lychaon but for now, I would still take an S-ranked stunner for my main team. Don't get me wrong, yes Anby is good, in fact she's my favorite character. I have her background poster setup lol. However her mechanics take precise timing. Some bosses don't like pure melee characters (e.g. Hans) and Amby is really, REALLY dependant on that 3rd hit chain. If it's gets broken, she looses a lot of her potential. Now if you have 2 stunners already and your Anby is already maxed for lvl 50 then sure, feel free to skip. But if you started later and you are not up to that point yet... now is the time to choose: you'll need at least 1 stunner. Anby is good, but she won't hold your team by herself. Also she requires "field presence" to build daze properly. It's important to consider who your main dps will be and adjust your tanks/stunners accordingly. Did you pull Ellen or Zhu Yuan with your encrypted tapes? What Piper, Grace, Nekomata or even Lucy with your masters? You need 2 good main teams and since ressources will be limited, you won't be able to max everyone right away. If it really does take 2 years for Quing-yi to come back around, you've already Pulled Zhu Yuan and plan to use her as a main DPS, I would think carefully about your decision to skip or not. Just because you did, doesn't mean everyone should, unless your pulling limit is financial and you can't/won't afford more, then obviously don't and just wait. There will be other characters.
The past is not warrant of the future. Yes characters will eventually get stronger to maintain cash coming into the game, however there is no garantee as to when this will happen. My advice is focus on what you need NOW the most. I plan to get QingYi and skip Jane Doe as I've already decided on my 2 main teams and I don't need a physical dps atm. Also Zhu Yuan and QuingYi fit exceptionally well together as Zhu doesn't need a lot of field presence to dps effectively in contrast to Ellen, for example.

The best reason I'll still pull for Qingyi is her animation.
You see: the longer you play Anby, the more you feel "off" of her. Anby doesn't look or feel like a stunner. Her animation looks like an amoured ninja with a thunder short-sword, doesn't have an impact at all despite the fact she can stun enemy really fast. I've had enough of that and decide to go with a girl that have a heavy stick.

Well i will still pull for her because i have all of the S ranks attackers but no S rank stunner so my stunner is just Anby lmao.
So qingyi is my best pick for now to fill in the blanks on my teams, and her additional ability only needing 1 attacker is perfect for me, i can put her on my Nekomata, Soldier 11 and Ellen team just fine. While Anby will stay with Zhu yuan.
I just know that I don't want any 1.2 characters based off their designs right now and that 1.3 likely won't have Miyabi. So, pulling both Qingyi and Jane Doe will give me two units that can be extremely viable in the future.
Assuming I don't get Lycaon by 1.4, Qingyi will be a great slot in for Miyabi. Assuming I get literally any other element anomaly unit, Jane Doe will be amazing to have for the team. At the end of the day, their versatility makes them worth getting because it means fewer pulls later in the game when you want a specific premium unit that requires a specific type of team (like ice team for Ellen) that you likely won't have all the members of.
That said, if the ZZZ team does continue this trend of making characters largely usable in all teams, then pulling Qingyi and Jane Doe won't amount to much. It's a gamble.

SInce school is about t0o basically start, now that i got Zhu yuan and dint manage to get her engine, i am now fully saving for Ellen rerun, 1 cuz she is op as hell, and 2 she is my fav character, Qyingi isnt that significant, and Jane Doe is probably gonna be just a melee Grace in a way

Follow up from another comment I left, i did end up pulling Zhu since it was guaranteed for me and I had a lot of fun playing with her. I got two separate teams set up now allowing me to clear more content and the difference in play style between teams is also super refreshing. 👍

Always love hearing your takes. I'll... Probably pull?? I am, at the least, a dolphin. I generally pull when I have a 10-pull available, I buy the 30 day thing, the battle pass, and, on very rare occasions, straight currency, though I keep that to a minimum. I wouldn't dump in more money to get Qingyi if her banner was ending, but I'd be happy to have her on the squad.
I do have some currency set aside specifically for Jane Doe. I won't dig into that. But the surplus I'd be down to throw her way and see if luck hits.
I'll admit I'm still clumsy when it comes to gachas. Started Star Rail about 5 months ago and am just getting my 2nd team up to endgame challenges after spreading my resources too thin across everybody. ZZZ is going *a lot better.* I have 2 teams I'm focused on, not upgrading anyone else's skills until they're maxed out.
Addendum: I want a Hollow Zero mode like Divergent Universe so bad, somewhere to take characters you've pulled, but not built, and use them. Only one place! I still enjoy building them! But it's so nice to pull a character in HSR and immediately try them out.

Qing Yi is way better than Anby, Anby only stun faster than Qing Yi if you do her full combo (3 BA + Ex SA) and most elites and bosses won't let you do that. Anby stun depend on her both BA and Ex SA while Qing Yi only need BA. Qing Yi has stun dmg multiplier which let your dps deal more dmg than Anby, she also deals AoE dmg and her ability increase atk make her a sub dps. So in every way I think pulling her is a better long term investment than other upcoming agents.
Qingyi getting buffed alright but how much is it compared to anby.. people pulling on jane doe banner going to get c6 anby any other way.. so the gap between qingyi and anby is becoming closer. I initially going to pull qingyi for easier time in shiyuu defense.. but i saw people clearing shiyuu defense 17 with anby just fine and dandy, she even got the best team with zhu yuan nicole. I think if qingyi compliment zhu yuan so much that you can almost turn off your brain when clearing shiyuu defense thats her selling point metawise... if it turns out the clearing time/survivability etc is close to anby, meta people will go off criticizing her and advise people not to pull..
Im still gonna pull for her even though I have Koleda just because her gameplay looks really cool to me and I'm not in shortage of S ranks since i also have Ellen, Grace and Zhu Yuan

The only reason for me to pull for Qingyi is to bring Anby back to Billy team (i currently running her with Zhu yuan), so I will still pull for Qingyi until I got M6 Billy :) (he's M4 already)

I actually fixed a lot of my issues after i swapped out anbys signature w engine for the shrimp bowl. I had no idea her signature was that bad for her especially since i have a 5 star version 😢
You haven’t pushed Shiyu? So you have no idea then how bad is Anby in dealing with any aggressive mobs that counts three or more. She rarely gets to the third attack string. Only thing she’s doing is dodge counter, wait for EX special attack, stun one out of three, then you can’t unload DPS coz other two mobs are still ganging on your DPS.
I think instead of looking at qingyi as an replacement for anby think of it as having an additional electro stunner also her kit is rather good and can lead to better stun rate
This is quite similar to yelan scenario, players say if you have c6 xinqui you can skip yelan but yelan can be another xinqui or vice a versa.
Also looking negatively (in terms of pulling) at a character for having a similar kit is a very superficial way to think about characters because there always certain differences and they do matter
I have pulled for yelan dispute having a c6 xinqui and I definitely don’t regret it. qingyi also is on my list even though i love my anby

What it all comes down to is which S ranks you happen to get. I got Koleda from Ellen's banner and Soldier 11 from the standard banner. Then I got Zhu Yuan with the Guarantee and M1 while going for Nicole M6. So although I lost the 50/50 on Ellen, I've still ended up with 2 teams by the end of 1.0. So the choice for me in 1.1 is either improving one of my teams with Qingyi or starting a 3rd team from scratch with Jane Doe (I don't even have Grace for her). Of course this is if I had to go for either.
So I'm going for Qingyi, but if I lose the 50/50 that changes things. If I get Lycoan he'll probably replace Anby anyway, and if I get Grace than maybe I'll go for Jane Doe after all. If I get Neko than I'm probably not using my guarantee on Jane. Or I could get a dupe I guess...
So yeah there's probably no objectively good pick, it all depends on your account. Though I do think that if Anby is literally your only stunner, and you're still skipping Qingy for "meta reasons" then you're on copium. "There are stunners on the standard banner that I'll eventually lose the 50/50 to". If that's not copium then I don't know what is lol
I got Lycaon already but will spend a few pulls on Quingyi, since I really like her character design and I want to C6 my Corin which is on that banner.
i get why ppl think anby is enough and in certain cases like when she has enough energy she can stun faster than lycone but lycone feels so much better to play he can disengage and get right back into comboing that just feels so good and if qingyi can do that i am ditching anby sry but to me gameplay matters more than anything

Best situation would be - I get lycaon for my ellen and have guaranteed jane. good situation would be - I get grace for my jane. Mid situation would be - I get any other character that i dont have (koleda, rina) or i get qingyi (probably it will force me to spend money for jane). My Zhu Yuan team with Anby needed 2 or more stun cycles to kill Nineveh. With Qingyi, one stun was more than enough. Getting to skip that annoying end phase of the boss feels huge. Very happy I got her.
I want to be a Stunner and defense main. I just want only want maybe 3 or four Attack units one ice one fire and one lightning. So I’ll most likely go for those.
I have 2 dps zhu yuan and neko so definitely getting quingyi
for sure plan on pulling with what i have anyways,besides not really having a interest in Jane Doe I do have Zhu Yuan as well as Ellen and her team so I want the 2 teams as on lock as possible for the foreseeable future so while Anby works enough for now it will give me the ability to play a more slow and patient game in the future with my pulls for just stuff i like or look fun.
I don't get the focus on element when:
1 - The role of the character and their kit are certainly more important than the element, especially for a Stunner;
2 - Shiyu defense has 2 sides, having multiple characters to use of the same element or the same role is actually not bad at all. Just look at the current Shiyu Critical Levels, both level 6 and 7 are Ether weak for both sides.
By saying Qingyi is a skip because she is an Electric Stunner you also say that Jane Doe should be skipped because she is a Physical Anomaly, and Piper is right there. That means the entire 1.1 patch is a skip just because of a character role and element when, if you have played Genshin Late game, having units of the same element and role actually is important.
If Harumasa is an Electric Attacker then he should be skipped because Anton is there? What if Yanagi is Electric Anomaly? I mean, Grace exists, and anyone who wants an Electric Anomaly can guarantee her eventually.
It's the same about people freaking out abouy Miyabi being an Ice Attacker. It just doesn't matter and is such a limited way to look at the content.

People need to remember S-ranks aren't meant to make A-ranks completely obsolete. Hoyoverse wants to sell S-ranks, yes, but they wouldn't waste their resources on making A-ranks if they're all meant to be outright replaced.
That's why Anby has so much stun potential to the point of competing with if not outmatching S-ranks. As an A-rank, she needs to hyper focus into a niche just to compete with the more generally capable S-ranks.

It really depends on your account. I don't think it's fair to be making these claims about how Qingyi "looks on paper" when the people who have had experience with her in early access have sung her praises before she even got buffed. Your points would have a lot more merit to them if you actually went into depth on her kit and explained why you don't think she holds as much value instead of just claiming that Anby is "good enough" and leaving it at that. Looking forward to the inevitable backpedalling when her banner drops.

💯agree. The second-team build unknowns were the killer for me. Until I know who my S-rank DPS is on team two, or if I promote a new team to team one and send Gentle House to team two, it doesn't make sense to pull for a "better Anby" now. Maybe later, but not now. The main downside I see is that now I have to fully commit to leveling Anby up. I've been kind of stingy with doing that, since I wasn't sure if I was going to replace her or not, but now that I've made up my mind to keep her on at least one team, I can spend the leveling resources without FOMO.

Yeah we got together in a room and flipped coins for who would be pro or anti qingyi.
for the overwhelming majority of low-spend or f2p accounts, having a second Stun Agent to slot into teams that are anchored by Attackers will be much, much more valuable than the characters we've seen in drip or even been able to trial in 1.1, and the fact that Qingyi is also Electric is almost completely irrelevant, so i'm curious why that was a point that was being made in the video
I'm going to dissagree on that very hard, unit that can very easily and consistently increase entire party's damage by 80% when enemy is stunned is a huge asset and Qingyi will probably not only age well but people will beg for her to be rerun quickly same way they did with Kazuha in version 2 Genshin
I do think the gap between her and kazu is smaller then that of her and anby, that and ceasar looks to be competitive as a genralist with different bis teams
But yes every time a 4 star up grade comes out this song and dance always happens

I never give a second to pull her and with this videos I confirm that because I'm already using Anby as my stunner (plus I don't have another one, she is my only stunner) along with Grace and Anton. The one who catch my eye is Jane for three reasons: the one you "already show" in the video, that she have an onee-san vibe and finally, my curiosity to see how good she could be work with Grace as a duo of Abnormal units.
But I have to make a decision because Caesar catch my attention for the 1.2 and with the chance to see Miyabi on 1.3 is hard to me to decide wich one skip to keep a healthy amount of poly for Miyabi.

I can't even get my main DPS up to lvl60 yet so how can I build a new character when I still need to do that as well as for my 2nd team and supports.
I’m pulling her as a Koleda replacement on my S11 team, actually. I’m very content with my Zhu yuan team with anby, but I feel like my S11 team struggles the moment there’s more than 1 enemy on the field, especially Koleda with her slower attack animations getting exploited. With Qingyi’s quicker reaction times and AoE, I feel like she solves both of the problems that team has. AoE stun means Lucy chain attacks which means everything dies.
Good news is after Qingyi I think I’m set to save for the rest of 1.1 and 1.2; I have a built Piper for Phys and Corin/Billy if I want an attack unit for Shiyu, and I can’t imagine Burnice is going to add more value to my S11 team than Qingyi will.

This feels reminiscent of the Yelan and Xingqui situation, both are functionally the same character and fill the same role in your team slot, but while Xingxue provides more defence and sustain, Yelan is just straight up more powerful and even a lower invested Yelan can usually fill in as a sub dps better than a c6 Xingque can. So despite Qingyi essentially being "just stronger Andy", I do think she'll pull a Yelan in the future once players recognise the added value she can bring as an electric stun. Plus, she's girly pop and that's enough for me.
