- Dr. Tharaka returns to TEDxUniversityOfAberdeen with this motivational and inspirational talk on improving your memorisation skills. He explains how forgetfulness can drain your time, money and satisfaction, but how re-evolving your memorisation skills can make you more effective in daily life. By tapping your mind's ability to imagine, and create associations, Dr. Tharaka will walk you through a memory training exercise to show to you that you can remember!
Tharaka Gunarathne is a graduate of the University of Aberdeen Medical School and a Consultant Psychiatrist working in Child and Adolescent Mental Health. With his background in Psychiatry and Medical Education, Dr. Tharaka has taken his talent into the motivational speaking world to motivate and inspire others to step into the fullness of all they can be.
Dr. Tharaka debuted at TEDx UniversityOfAberdeen with "The Power Of Shifting The Way You think" ( • The power of shifting ... ). Since then, Dr. Tharaka has been invited by various business and organisations to speak at events and help audiences think more effectively to maximise their performance. Dr. Tharaka believes that there is treasure in you and discovering that for yourself can be life changing!

Im doing a ted-athon (marathon binge watching ted talks ) with breaks of course , i play games or watch netflix in between . I want to see how many ted talks i can watche in one month , or 6 month . Recently my average had been 3 ted talks per day but i intend to increase the daily amount . Any how i made a playlist on my channel so you can join me and watch them too ( or just half of them if you want skipping a few ). I am having fun watching this video because im learning new things and i hope you are having fun as well

That sucks... tell them to do that with poetry. A totally different story.
It is not a competition and they are not handing out medals. He is giving you a framework to use and even build upon. It is up to you to use or discard.
his technique is useful only to remember only short things and not to texts. He cant remember even the shopping list he has and his eyes are focusing on it.
