  • For the past 23 years, Kevin Horsley has been analysing the mind and memory and its capacity for brilliance. He is one of only a few people in the world to have received the title International Grandmaster of Memory. Kevin shares his amazing talent and teaches us the importance of strengthening your memory capabilities.
    In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. • @adela7nuria
    @adela7nuria 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    This is perfectly opposed to spiritual teachings about the true nature of our mind. "Your memory is where your life is lived. If you didn't have a memory, you'd be totally stuck in time." Memory is about the past, with no memory you'd be in the present moment, not stuck but free with instant acces to all knowledge (which is beyond time). If my life is where my memory is, what am I before all time, before all remembered information? If we link our identity to temporal and ephemeral things, we forget our true identity, beyond time, beyond changing and improvements and the need of gathering information. We have it all, now.

    • @lethalluv4641
      @lethalluv4641 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Without memory, you would not know who you are at any given moment. Memory is your story. Spirituality is utter nonsense and I highly suggest you find a more grounded paradigm

      I was not reffering to any one in particular, for there was no need to. But now that you ask, there are many which can provide extensive explanations, for example, A Course in Miracles.

    • @adela7nuria
      @adela7nuria 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You couldn't have studied ACIM and arrive to the conclusion that it's not true and pure, an expression of the inner Christ, inner Self. I've been touched by His love in many ways, and that book is one of them, but I don't expect someone who didn't read it to understand. Thank you anyway and God bless you!

    • @adela7nuria
      @adela7nuria 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sweetheart, ACIM doesn't deny ressurection in any way. It's the most powerful message of Christ, the message of untainted purity within. ACIM says that we are truly beyond sin, and that separation from God and from one another is a dream, an illusion, not reality, for if it were real, then God wouldn't be. We can be saved BECAUSE it was never real. Because God's creation is always pure and unchangeable, as He is. Clearly you haven't read the book, then why insist on making comments about it? For me, Christ is beyond what christianity understood of Him, and beyond religion. I'm not interested in a debate about this or anything useless as that. To each his own...Have a peaceful day!
