congrats....for the quality u maintain for ur channel.....really appreciate it.......there are a hell lot of variables regarding acoustics in a space....especially room geometry,room dimensions, wall,floor,ceiling angles, purpose of the room, frequency/amplitude distribution in space....etc and a lot more.... the bosotect foam which u have mentioned here just solves the mid and high frequency anomalies.....to have bass absorption u need to at least have 25-30 cm thickness for rockwool/foam or even diaphragmatic absorbers.....and u have to calculate the percentage of surface area treatment also.......otherwise u wont get to hear the attack and release of 30,50 hz sounds....and even u need to have predictable and consistent diffusors to enhance the sound field........this is just basic acoustics........all these things will have an impact only after u treat for incoming and outgoing noises....ie barrier design.........so my point is....plz do mention all the above facts in the upcoming acoustic design episodes ......so that mallus can learn a lot from it.....now people think that 5,6 acoustic panels of 10 cm thickness will make sound perfect......just a suggestion....thanks....

There are different types of poly foams. For example polyethylene foam sheets or expanded polystyrene sheets won’t work due to its structure. But some other foams with small pores will work.
Try to source Basotect if possible. BASF is in India , it should be available there.

There will be slight improvement but not much. You need a thicker panel on wall to absorb lower frequencies.

@@ModernMallus I am planning a low cost solution. My current problem is, while talking on calls there is echo which loose the concentration on client calls. Current floor is marble. SO I assumed stick carpet will reduce echo nearly 50% and stick carpet on wall will reduce 20%. But my assumptions will be wrong. Is it?

@@KiranKJolly Carpets will reduce echo. But your expectation percentages are very exaggerated. For phone calls you don’t need expensive acoustic treatment. First you should try to move your desk to a place where reflections are less. And deal with your interior and curtains to achieve a good result. I won’t recommend sticking carpets on wall. If you are resorting to that stick cheaper acoustic foam instead.

Basotect will be an expensive option for churches. You can also use glass wool instead.
Either way, you should make sound absorbing panels with it and attach at various points in the church hall.
Place speakers and panels carefully so that the hall itself is not becoming ugly.

5mm will not help much to reduce bass reflection. You need to go much thicker. More like 5-10 cm. This is due to higher wage length of lower frequencies. I will recommend to strategically place thicker panels instead of covering whole place in thin layer.
