This guy plays so well with reverb I almost fell asleep listening.
I went to a local shop today and tested some pedals for a good while, was stuck on the love and the HOF... guy handed me this, went noon and strummed a chord, perfect. Bought it instantly.
I thought this thing was killer when I plugged it in as well! unique controls for a cheaper unit.. really cool
Do you get any digital pedal noise out of this pedal? My ZOOM CDR zings at 6khz really badly, especially at gig volume.

Great pedal. Infinitely adjustable - from basic amp reverb to ethereal, it's a keeper.
I am still surprised how close this pedal is to the boutique ones! In terms of the sound, it's clean, lushy and versatile. It's been two years since I discovered this amazing pedal. Great playing and review!!!

Been wondering if this is a clone of the EQD Afterneath, the controls are very similar and they sound very similar too.

I’ve owned tons of reverb pedals and rack mounts, some very expensive. It kinda blows my mind that this pedal is so cheap, but sounds so good. I mean, you’re not getting Eventide or Lexicon quality, here. But, I’d put this up against any of the boss or tc electronics pedals.

I'm thinking about buying this, turning the dials all the way up, breaking the knobs off, and giving it to my guitarist for Christmas because he doesn't feel reverb is that important in a shoegaze band
give him some alone time with a combination of an analog delay set just shy of self oscillation + a reverse reverb and see if he doesn’t come back a changed man
More on vocals than guitar. I like my guitar with delay and overdrive and not much else. I play shoegaze type stuff but more towards Sonic Youth

Shoe gaze is such a quasi-genre of music imo.
i think this is the best short verb i have heard. it is hard to do that well.

Your guitar playing is really nice
Interesting unit. There are lots of boxes that do umpteen reverb types and have maybe three controllable parameters. One type, six knobs, well worth a look. Thanks for making & sharing.
Its not very versatile, but what it does, it does ridiculously well for the price. Overall best reverb I tried, under $75.

thank you for the demo. I am seriously considering. Some reviewers say that the pedal seems to buffer any sound that may be present when it is shut off. When the pedal is powered up again it spews out that buffered sound over your amp.
is that something you have experienced?

I own two of these...great for the long/ambient settings but very limited at the spring setting (delay at 9 o' clock) Even 2 in a row won't give me any 'surf' vibe
Be warned.
Grab a Boss FRV-1. If you're looking for surf you won't find many better pedals to be honest. I have one for sale right now on sweetwater. Free shipping if interested.

It cuts off automatically. The switch does have popping sound if i remembered correctly.

Spring, plate and BBD aren't.
Most verb pedals are digital.
@@HatredPrime yeah, but in the pedal format, they all are digital. Unless (for example) you get a spring reverb pedal with an actual spring in it, like the danelectro's spring king

I like what I hear with this. I use a Biyang, and this has more control. The tri Reverb is definitely good, though.

You seem like you'd have a reasonable answer to this question. I have a Strymon Bluesky and am thinking of selling it for 2 or more pedals. If I sold it for around $200-250 what would you suggest getting? I was looking at digitech Polara maybe and one other reverb. Maybe even something as cheap as a behringer reverb and putting the remaining cash on something else.
depends what you're playing.. I like the polara's tone but its got quite a short decay time.. so two reverbs is a good idea if you want the polara! I like all the pedals around that price range.. the Boss RV-5 has a great modulated reverb which i use a lot..
Ryan Lutton okay that's what I was thinking. I was a bit disappointed with the short trails on the polara but thought a delay would fix that? If I got a second reverb how would I set them up to increase the trails of the polara without changing the overall tone?

Apparently it holds the trails until you reactivate it. So no, no trails once you switch to off, but then BOING trails suddenly when you switch back on. Seems like a bad feature.

I'm pretty sure they can't fit batteries internally.. but they do have a 9v to pedal power cable come with them if you buy them new, at least mine did :)
Yeah. They just give you those 9v battery cable thingies. Doesnt bother me though, since i only use a psu.
Hi. Which better? This one or ammoon reverb delay?
I've looked into this recently. They're both great but they serve different purposes. The Ammoon reverb+delay produces a wide variety of interesting sounds and gives you real delay options. The Snake Bite does one thing really well - deep, rich reverb - and gives you controls to shape that specific sound to your own liking. So if you want to experiment with ambient sounds and get a lot of features for the money, go for the Ammoon. But if you are just looking for a lush atmospheric reverb with great tonal flexibility then the Snake Bite is the way to go.
FWIW - I almost bought a Pockverb, but then I ordered a Snake Bite.

I've had it for a while, It doesn't do that much ambience, but it can feel pretty big, I usually run the mix low and the decay high, it was my first reverb and I still use it after my line6 hd500x.

This or the biyang triverb?
This is an EQD Afterneath clone (atmospheric/ambient). The Triverb is an EHX Holy Grail clone (3 standard modes). Depends what you play. Triverb if you want easy setup and familiar controls , Snakebite if you want lots of lush sounds and tweaking.
if you have to tweak all the knobs at max and that´s the only good tone of the pedal,well,the product sucks
