    Anyone who demos a pedal with Guelah Papyrus deserves some kind of award. Well done!

    Got one today pretty impressed that has preamp on there.
    With only this pedal and overdrive i can play post rock pretty well

      hi, did you experience signal drop when your guitar in plugged into that (either engaged or not)? I'm using CP-80 as part of my chain (last pedal on the chain) and the sound is so low compared when it's not part of the chain.
      i also tried directly plugging my guitar to CP-80 and got the same results.

      Like fence post rock? That's great because I play about as well as a fence post.

    I use mine with an acoustic, passive baggs pickup. It's very clean and preserves the acoustic sound.

    I've got one on the way. I'm really looking forward to it the epic bass swells.

    It's a great pedal for the price. I bought mine for $60 new. I play a 60s rockabilly/honky-tonk style like Pete Anderson and it fits the bill exactly

      Does it do slapback?

  • @paulsummerside
    @paulsummerside 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Reverb does start to do a sort of spring reverb thing. Not bad.
    Didn’t test to see what slap back type delay was like on the delay side. Otherwise nice sounding pedal.

    Is it boosts the signal level? I want to use it in my mandolin which has a weak signal pickup.

    Does the reverb or delay trail on when the switches are disengaged ?

  • @TheNathanMac
    @TheNathanMac ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I have this pedal and it really seems to boost my signal no matter where I have the level set. I’m new to building physical pedal boards as I’ve used Line 6 for the past 15 years.
    How are you finding it on your board?

    Reverb and delay are two of the most inexpensive effects to build into a pedal. Here someone gets it right. To pay $200-$300 for a reverb pedal with delay, one has to be completely ignorant of the technology in those pedals. It's a cheap build.

      I agree that paying 100's is just too much, but regarding reverb and delay being the most inexpensive? Not from what I've seen, at least in the affordable/cheap category. I've been obsessing over pedals all year and Reverb/Delay are the LEAST inexpensive.

    • @mrcoatsworth429
      @mrcoatsworth429 ปีที่แล้ว

      I somewhat agree. But you have to keep in mind that you're not just paying for the parts.
      Many of these boutique pedal companies are putting weird and creative twists on these pedals, which I think is worth something. And many are actually building them by hand in their garages or basements or whatever. These cheap ones are oftentimes built by the thousands in some factory in the far east by people who should be paid way more than they are.
      Sometimes, there's more to a price tag than greed.

      The difference between these pedals and “boutique” is a capacitor,diode, or resistor. Those cost cents. Lol! So yeah I agree. No point in spending 100s. Exactly what do you need out of a delay/reverb outside of the normal? Creative twist on the boutique stuff are nothing but graphics and the fact that some are hand building them. Some of the bigger companies like Wampler and JHS are not hand building everything. There’s a streamlined process.

      I just watched a review of a Caline pedal where one of the circuits caused the signal to drop. It was a defective unit. I'd recommend contacting them.
