This is a good knife! It can hold an edge AND it's thick & strong enough to pry with! I put one in my daughters car and kept one for myself! Good to see this knife reviewed!!!
Great knife for the car. Nice and sharp, a bit of heft, and a comfortable grippy handle that has enough of a guard. Definitely one of the better budget blades out there.
Thanks for the review. I will check them out. My thought have changed on 8Cr13Mov after watching a destruction test on a SR1 vs and SR1 Lite(which I own). The SR1’s S35vn snapped while the 8Cr equipment SR1 Lite kept trucking until the pivot failed! Yeah I know I will sharpen the 8Cr more but for what I bought the knife for, budget beater/defensive blade I think it will serve well and I not going cry if I have to dig in the dirt with it! I think that’s the niche this blade fills, a solid budget fix blade that you will not be afraid to actually use, abuse and will not cry too much if you lose!
@@palerider7171 cold sttel is not a brand you mean the skr longer knife about 27 cm instead of the 24 cm made of this c8 steel the only thing idont like are the bouts in the handle of the nedfoss fallkiven the buscraft and huntknife cost 200 euro's is of one piece and A1 cost 385 euros which is to much for me
the skr s5 amazon cost 63 euro inclo sent to another country and not as many bouts in the handle so the video of the test of skr persuades me to buy skr and not the fallkniven
This is a pure fighting knife... It has a saber grip and the top guard on the hilt is a perfect indexing and guide point for the thumb.. Pure fighter...not a survival knife....

top guard also provides a contact point for tying a wood handle for a spear.

Yeah! 8cr is surprisingly tough! And it’s usually super cheap so you won’t mind pounding it!

Thats a great knife but it needs a kydex sheath with a tek lok or straps for horizontal carry. thanks for sharing.

Tops wasn't originally the designer either. The shape is "borrowed" from the Russian Kizlyar Phoenix, a military knife.

It's an 8CR 13. Not a 14. D2 is a brittle steel, It would break.
Coldsteel Warcraft Tanto SanMai is a fail. Is no fulltang. Look at test from Joe X.
