For story 2: As a gay man, I think Sally fucked it up and OP has the right to be angry. She shouldn't be cheating. Doesn't matter if she's a lesbian. I do think she platonically loved her husband, and she's allowed to grieve, but she need needs to understand she just lied to a man for her own selfish needs of keeping a false appearance.
I do feel bad for her but OP should not be expected to do the same. She did love her husband in some ways I'm sure of it but again she broke his heart and insulted him in the worst way possible, making him feel like his whole life was a lie before her passed away. I would never choose her over my own husband unless I am in love with her or something like that. OP's wife is sus.
My daughter is gay and from our conversations I know that she hates cheating. It doesn't matter how hard your life gets because you're gay, and family or friends disown you, you don't screw around with others and you don't pretend who you are and ef up other people's lives. Ex-church friends have asked me why I supported my daughter when she came out and I said she's the same person as before she told us. It's only sick people who think it's wrong. Sally needs help. Opie was a little too harsh on what he said. A lot of it was the truth though, OP does need to get over the fact his wife still has a friendship with this woman.
Second story Opie has the right to be angry and he has the right to be upset with Sally because Sally was very disrespectful. Sally has the right to grieve but at the same time, I agree with a commentator she has to also understand that what you did was wrong and you allowed someone to believe that you were in love with them at the same level that they loved you. In that betrayal can sometimes never be undone especially the fact that Ben is no longer with them and can never vouch to say that he forgave her. Opie's wife has messed up the fact that she knows that Opie is upset with Sally and you brought her over there knowing that he was upset with her and you expected him to not be angry I don't know what's going on with the wife. I agree with the opinion if a loved one got hurt by somebody else I'm cutting them off I'm not going to continue to be friends with them after they hurt my family member at the same time the wife has the right to have the friends but still, she should have waited at least a little bit longer before going and letting Sally enter the home where Ben's picture is up there Opie has the right to be angry in his house he didn't have the right to say what he said but still open his wife should have known better and should have waited at least an ample amount of time before going and letting someone that he blames his friend's death on into their house.
story 2 the best way for op to teach his wife life lessons if he ever cared about her he should have divorced his wife so that she can have the experience and now his true emotion's waiting and wasting time is useless op should have filed for divorce long ago and served her but yet still he did not and willingly choose to waste time and argue with her her face when she left ops house to go to sally to stay there showed everything both exhaustion and disdain and also what people said about them both going grocery shopping and being close where she both cooks and consoles sally this is more than enough evidence to show an affair emotional one if not physical a good person would hate would hate sally since she used ops best friend and cheated their entire relationship and would not have stopped or confessed if not caught sally is too manipulative and the only way marry might have a reason to forgive her is if she new before or supported her or if she herself was gay.
I feel bad for Mary’s husband, although I couldn’t say that I would choose my husband over my best friend if he lost his best friend, even if my best friend were wrong. Partnership relationships are different from platonic relationships. There are things that I just don’t share with my husband that I share with my best friend. Just like he can’t imagine his life without ben he’s asking her to live her life without Sally because of his spite. Sally is wrong, but Mary isn’t.
Can’t believe OP’s parents wanted him to cancel his membership to make his brother feel better. I would’ve been like you guys cheese in my whole life for being fat and now I’m not fat you have an issue.
With the second story, I think he’s overreacting is way too naïve to think that his wife did not know the whole time. He needs to just cut ties and quit acting like he’s the victim.
Choosing to ignore someone’s feelings over the death of a loved one is no where near the same level of wanting to not be associated with the person that caused the death of your friend
*Story 1:* Hope the OB can take care of the parents cause they just lost OP. I mean what kind of parents are like _"Well my favoirte child can no longer use you as an emotional punching bag or steal money from you How dare you? I thought I did a better job at destroying your self esteem and self worth"_ *Story 2:* Def YTA. Not that I do not understand where OP is coming and why he feels like that, or that I disagree with the sentiment of "You hurt my bestie and the gloves are off", but knowing the context of Sally being in the LGBTQ+ community does shine a new light in the situation. Hear me out, Sally might have actually developed romantic feelings for Ben even if she was never sexually attracted to him, those two can co-exist. Not to mention, a sad and unfortunately reality for people in this minority is that parents would kick them out and bsically leave them with no support system, and that's a BEST CASE SCENARIO, so many people have had, and continue to have, to live a double life because of this. People like Sally grow up knowing that the love and support of those closest to you is _entirely_ dependant on her hiding, and even negating, a part of yourself. Or risk being disowned, beat up, assaulted, killed or even sent to be tortured until you conform to their ideal son/daughter. So yeah, OP is TA for what you said to Sally. Furthermore, I agree with OP's wife that an apology is in order. My best wishes to the wife, she was the hero in here. Hope OP finds happiness. *Story 3:* NTA, In-Laws are looking a gifted horse in the mouth because they're greedy and the kids have every right to call their parents bs.
I'm sorry but I have to disagree with you on the 2nd story. Reason: Just because you are an LGBTQ+ doesn't mean you have a free pass on cheating. Mind you that Sally have being cheating on Ben for their entire relationship with other womans (in plural) because she said she is gay (as the 2nd story says). Also I don't think Sally is gay just Bi because in the story said she had somewhat feelings for Ben at first but, I don't think that's the case when Ben related to OP about the whole cheating from the start of the relationship. Btw I my self I'm Bi and Ase and just because I am from the LGBTQ+ community and accept other genders and non-genders doesn't mean that I get a free pass on cheating. Also if Sally wanted a polyamourous relationship she should have talked it to Ben instead of going behind his back and hurting him like that. OP's feelings at the moment are valid as he was way close to Ben like brothers so he is feeling both lost and betrayed, so it's completely valid.
@@Lunaris.Nexiv_KAV My apologies, I did not meant to come off as defending Sally's cheating, I understand however I do not condone. She did hurt her late husband with the cheating. OP is YTA for what he said to Sally, that's all. The wife did a good thing for her.
@@davidmauriciogutierrezespi5244 With that I can agree, his words where cold and very hurtful on her and I know Sally felt even more hurt because of it. It's better to not say anything in the admist of the moment especially if you are hurting because at this point not only Sally and Op are hurting the Op's Wife is torn between this whole mess (wether to consider loving him or looking out for Sally.) It's very hard and the conclusion I could gather from all of this is divorce (since Op has viewed his wife betraying him, is better to divorce as it would lead him to find himself)/apology for the words said that where tainted with hurtful emotions/ therapy or maybe psychiatric intervention because of how OP mentioned all those hurtful things about Sally... (I say this because there is a hint of both Depression and Anger in his paraphrasing.)
A for a family families are not supposed to screw each other and how many times do you have to hear? Can you just do this one thing for your brother has his brother did anything for him?
Did anyone else notice in story one that he talks about his dad losing his membership during Covid yet he moved out and went NC in 2015, in other words story is total bs
I wonder if Sally felt any real sadness for Ben's death. Or if she is just upset her girlfriend broke up with her. Sad thing is it also sounds like others in the ops life is on Sallys side. I wouldn't be surprised if ops future ex is with sally now. But it seems something big happened and op regrets it and now the divorce is happening. My guess with how hurt op is they got a little to toxic to be around. Which probably isolated them and made them more gorupy. That thearpy wasnt helping. There is the possibility that it finally hit sally how horrible she was to ben. Which is why she was at ops crying to their wife. Op yelling at sally makes it even worse. Ops wife fearing for her friends mental health stays with her. All the while ruining her own marriage. Maybe friend tired to end herself or did and thats why op said in the final update the divorce is happening and nothing can stop it.
Sally and Mary are in the wrong if Sally knew she was in the females don’t marry a man who’s gonna break his heart later on you just tell your parents and you live with their reaction, it’s not easy coming out of the closet. I realize that, but don’t play with other peoples feelings because of it and Mary still supporting her is rude, maybe she did love him and was generally said he passed away, but it doesn’t take away. She cheated on him several times ohP doesn’t have to have anything to do with her and his wife is allowed to be friends with whoever she wants even if their friend is morally wrong.
I get both points in the third story. It's shitty to look a gift horse in the mouth but it's also saying 'you're beneath me' if you offer to book a family vacation and put part of the family in a cheaper place and put yourself and your immediate family in a more expensive place. They could have talked about it before-hand and said "I want to stay here but I can't afford to put you up there as well, so if you want to pitch in for your accommodations I can help put you up here as well, otherwise you're looking at something like this". If OP said something like "I'm putting myself here and you down there" it might have come across as abrasive and condescending. It depends on communication really. And asking to take the kids to Disneyland and leave the parents behind kind of reinforced that "we're better than you" type thing. It's like if you take someone out for food and offer to pay, but tell them you're buying lobster but they have to order off the kids menu. It's condescending. Just don't offer at that point.
“Tell them you’re buying lobster but they have to order off the kids menu.” Vs: *_Paying for airfare and a $450 a night hotel._* These two aren’t remotely the same. Give me a f-ing break.
This is a free vacation. If the inlaws are really butt hurt about getting different accommodations then why not offer to pay the extra it would take to stay at OP's hotel. If someone gives someone sth free, say yes, thank u or no but thank u for the offer. That is the correct attitude to receive or politely decline blessings/gifts. They know they cannot afford it, and yet they complain abt what was given. Like the saying goes, Beggars cannot be choosers. Besides, due to their bad attitude, everyone will think twice before giving them anything anymore.

To lie about having money issues so your sibling can pay for your trip is disgusting.
Third story: NTA. theyre just entitled
Mary is out there scissoring sally like no other. There’s no ifs ands or buts about it
That's what all the stuff you read on P***Hub says anyway.
story 2 the best way for op to teach his wife life lessons if he ever cared about her he should have divorced his wife so that she can have the experience and now his true emotion's waiting and wasting time is useless op should have filed for divorce long ago and served her but yet still he did not and willingly choose to waste time and argue with her her face when she left ops house to go to sally to stay there showed everything both exhaustion and disdain and also what people said about them both going grocery shopping and being close where she both cooks and consoles sally this is more than enough evidence to show an affair emotional one if not physical a good person would hate would hate sally since she used ops best friend and cheated their entire relationship and would not have stopped or confessed if not caught sally is too manipulative and the only way marry might have a reason to forgive her is if she new before or supported her or if she herself was gay.
He would not agree to give him the money !
Story over
Wow,they are ungrateful
If OP’s brother wants to lose weight he can join a gym he can afford it
I feel bad for Mary’s husband, although I couldn’t say that I would choose my husband over my best friend if he lost his best friend, even if my best friend were wrong. Partnership relationships are different from platonic relationships. There are things that I just don’t share with my husband that I share with my best friend. Just like he can’t imagine his life without ben he’s asking her to live her life without Sally because of his spite. Sally is wrong, but Mary isn’t.
Please - someone, anyone - teach your pet story telling robot/AI how to say the word 'live' properly.
Can’t believe OP’s parents wanted him to cancel his membership to make his brother feel better. I would’ve been like you guys cheese in my whole life for being fat and now I’m not fat you have an issue.
Story 3: Is this guy’s SIL Veruca Salt?!
With the second story, I think he’s overreacting is way too naïve to think that his wife did not know the whole time. He needs to just cut ties and quit acting like he’s the victim.
"Do it for Dan"
You should’ve got it in writing OP.
Story1: Do it for Dan!
Story 2: OP told Sally exactly what she was but unfortunately had the support of the wife…
most believable reddit story
Ai idiocy with words. Unfaithful? Unfair I think that should be.
23:32 they both chose friends over each other
Choosing to ignore someone’s feelings over the death of a loved one is no where near the same level of wanting to not be associated with the person that caused the death of your friend
Good build by the way idk if you built it.
Story 2: Apprentlty being a closet Gay allows you to get away with anything.
*Story 1:* Hope the OB can take care of the parents cause they just lost OP. I mean what kind of parents are like _"Well my favoirte child can no longer use you as an emotional punching bag or steal money from you How dare you? I thought I did a better job at destroying your self esteem and self worth"_
*Story 2:* Def YTA.
It's better to not say anything in the admist of the moment especially if you are hurting because at this point not only Sally and Op are hurting the Op's Wife is torn between this whole mess (wether to consider loving him or looking out for Sally.)
It's very hard and the conclusion I could gather from all of this is divorce (since Op has viewed his wife betraying him, is better to divorce as it would lead him to find himself)/apology for the words said that where tainted with hurtful emotions/ therapy or maybe psychiatric intervention because of how OP mentioned all those hurtful things about Sally... (I say this because there is a hint of both Depression and Anger in his paraphrasing.)
A for a family families are not supposed to screw each other and how many times do you have to hear? Can you just do this one thing for your brother has his brother did anything for him?
Story 2: Rug-munching, is and how it has been happening.
Did anyone else notice in story one that he talks about his dad losing his membership during Covid yet he moved out and went NC in 2015, in other words story is total bs
*7!*
Story 2: your family scammed you. They never had any intention to pay you back
Reddit prompt writers are really digging into the bottom of the bag with the caption story.
13:40 what type of alabama damn shi is this 💀
Sally and Mary are in the wrong if Sally knew she was in the females don’t marry a man who’s gonna break his heart later on you just tell your parents and you live with their reaction, it’s not easy coming out of the closet.
3rd story I skipped because everything was explained in the title.
This background video is excruciating to watch.
i had to stop watching bc the minecraft video in the background made me so mad 😭

“Tell them you’re buying lobster but they have to order off the kids menu.”
Vs:
*_Paying for airfare and a $450 a night hotel._*
These two aren’t remotely the same.
These graphics are awful and the AI reader needs a better program.
2nd OP meed to mind his damn business omg
What?
His business? The woman who literally used his dead best friend for her own image showed up to the funeral and HIS house, and is interacting with HIS wife. How is it NOT his business
So apparently Sally has a TH-cam account named ignacioaguirre8137.
I bet my life savings this user is a cheater too
