Hot Rod I know you posted this seven months ago, but the answer to your question is that while although I may not need a car, if I need a medication that is vital to my survival- I can’t just not pay up causing a drop in prices. I either cough up the money or die. A lot of insulin is bought from Canada where I live and shipped to the US because we view health not as a commodity to be bought or sold, but rather as a public necessity like the water from your tap. Insulin in Canada is many times cheaper simply because we don’t allow corporations to hold the sick and dying hostage until they swipe their credit card.
