I avoided the census until they came to my home, three times. I live with others who are suspicious of the census. I must say that the questions, when I finally agreed to reply, were as unobtrusive as possible. If I couldnt or wouldn't answer a question that was totally fine. I was able to just let them know how many of us live here and the most basic info possible.

I worked for the last Census. Believe me, every person who listed a PO Box as their address was tracked down. You would be surprised at how many people in NYC use PO Boxes for security reasons. The Census mandates in our Constitution that every person be counted. The Dept of Commerce ( who runs the Census) would be violating Federal law if they did not count every single person. They take this responsibility very seriously.
