Also i believe the "clothes beam" was simply one application of Kami's power to create stuff, which is explictily MAGIC.
If clothes beam was Kami's power, how did Piccolo use it during the Saiyan arc which was before Kami and Piccolo fused as one?

Because as linked counterparts, whatever Kami can do, so can Piccolo... in theory anyway. He probably doesn't know enough about it to create, say the moon or a set of dragon balls, but clothes? Clothes are pretty small potatoes.

Yeah, it's literally "Materialization Magic." It's what Kami used to create the Dragon Ballls. It's not even exclusive to him and Piccolo. Several characters use it to create weapons before fights.
A lot of people give the Hades fight from Fairy Tail a lot of pain for having the love and friendship win, but that's not how they won, They won because the cats destroyed Hades's unlimited energy source.

Another fun fact about Natsu winning past battle by getting mad that his friends were being beaten etc etc.
Natsu is E.N.D., aka an Etherious. Which canonical become more powerful the angrier they are. So he's actually got a secret legitimate reason for winning some of those fights. :3
adding to that you even hear Erigor say "the Flames of Emotion but how can that be it's an ancient magic where did this kid learn how to use it" Emotion powers his magic which makes sense because of what TYPE of Dragon Slayer and Demon he is a FIRE based one and what better element to use to power him through any fight then his raw righteous fury hell even their own Guild Master says "if you want Natsu to push through to persevere to overcome any obstacle he may face make him mad it's a sure fire way to give him the proper motivation" so yeah it's not Friendship is Magic though that does get people to do the impossible when the need cause you to like moms lifting cars over their babies to keep them safe hello people you'd be surprised how much drive the faith and belief of those you care about gives you but it's largely for Natsu and even Erza Emotional based their drive their determination and yes their FURY plows them through their enemies time and time again

AnimeAmericaPodcast To be fair the fight with Grimiore hearts Hades (the clip you used in the bit for fairy tail) was meant as an end of the line all or nothing without any abilities. They didn't win in that sequence with love and freindship. (natsu's speech was more of a temp morale booster to convince everyone to give it their lives) the way they won was trough the failure of the ships engine which for some deus ex machina reason was the guild masters heart along with the deal made by one of the 7 children of purgatory made a good number of episodes back. along with a change of heart from ultear who used her arc of time to return the tree So i guess it would fall under the willpower/coincidences ex machina set. for that particular arc. as for the rest yea some are just bull friendship ex machina

Mr.Gentlemac also that same energy can't be seen with regular human eyes and can only be defeated by another life energy so it is basically an invisible near indestructible force, just because it's weird doesn't mean it's lame

I would love to see the Power of Friendship fail. Like for example, In Fairy Tail, one of the members like Natsu, Erza, or Makarov gives one of Fairy Tail's generic Friendship speeches, then fires their attack at the enemy only for the enemy to knock it away Dragon Ball Z style leaving the guild with a look of utter shock, It may sound mean but that would be hilarious

Sure, it would be funny, but then the villain curb-stomps the heroes, leading to another half a season of the heroes examining their bonds of friendship, rebonding, and trust exercises, all so that in their next encounter with the big bad, the friendship thing is more powerful and actually works. No thanks.
goji3755 Well if it failed the first time, chances are it won't work the second time. Plus if it was Fairy Tail, there is no way to make the bond even stronger. I mean if they can survive a dragon blasting them to oblivion through friendship they can't top anything

Just ignore the entire stand argument guys. They use the most basic stands in the series as their example (the part 3 stands) and didn't do any research at all (see the two arguments above). Also parts 4-8 solidify stands as a awesome power imo. And while yes the stands in part 3 are really basic they are nowhere near the tenth lamest power in anime. You can't just make a list like this unless you've experienced every anime power for yourself.
(Yes I'm aware this video was made before DiU anime but still doesn't change the fact that they didn't do any research).

Ripple are useful for a variety of things, and the best to fight vampires.
Flo, ceasar is a stand user. Anyone who uses hamon has a stand. Its hermit purple. So ceaser, zeppili, lisa lisa, straitso, they all have hermit purple stands

Joseph *gains* a Stand that can conduct Hamon, called Hermit Purple, and it's his own Stand; nobody else has a Hermit Purple Stand, even if they did practise Hamon. Plus, the other Hamon users didn't live upto Part 3, so they never had the chance of gaining a Stand through the Bow and Arrow.

I feel like for some animes the 'power' of love and friendship is more of a moral booster then an actual way to beat the boss. like for some animes it gets the characters to want to win at any cost, yes its overused however sometimes it's good, like in Fairy Tail. In that anime they use the 'power' of friendship and love as a major moral booster more than anything, infact its good for Fairy Tail because its one of those animes where Friendship is a major factor in the anime.

The Pokemon clip came from after Ash & Charizard pulled a Pokemon Adventure and outsmarted Gary's Blastoise, before it came down to last guy standing to win it all. The Digimon clip was from like the second episode of Data Squad, before Marcus became besties with his Agumon... That said, he also has to punch something in the face to start a digivolution.

The way Joseph used hamon in part 3 would be more effective against vampires and zombies instead of humans.
So really, it's just swinging around like spiderman and spirit photography. Not a bad set of powers, but they would be better utilized in Part 1 and 2, probably by Lisa Lisa, Tonpetti, Straizo and Ultimate Kars. Possibly Will Zeppeli and Jonathan too.

03 was actually useful, you can use it to save your own life by taking someone else's body, Disguise by taking control of a key individual, take control of animals and use their abilities to reach places you normally wouldn't be able to.
The only downside to that power is if your original body is destroyed, GG go get a new one.
Ok but I feel like, for Fairy Tail, the friendship thing sort of works better mostly because the whole story is based around the fact that they're a team and a family rather than they all have amazing strength that can beat down any villain, even if it takes a while and maybe some luck and motivation. No. Even some of the strongest wizards they have still need help from time to time and that's what makes that guild stand out from the rest. They're not perfect and do require each others help and that's really the whole meaning of the show; you don't have to be alone and you're not the only one dealing with shit. But this is just my opinion. You may see it in a totally different way or maybe you agree. I wouldn't know.

The power of love and friendship was actually something that was put in Pokemon X and Y. "You down to your last Pokemon and your opponent uses a super effective move? The power of love and friendship keeps it from fainting, allowing it to use its most powerful move to defeat your opponent." This literally happened to me with my Azumarill during my battle with the champion, the only time I'll ever like this power.
is anyone else constantly replaying #4 just for her RAGE moment... it's just too funny to watch.
Honorable mentions that are less obvious.
Touma form "A certain magical Index". His power is being a Jinx, he is so unlucky that magic and Esper powers just die if he touches them with his left hand. It shouldn't be on the list because against certain espers his power is broken as balls. He is immune to any direct magic attack simply by punching it.
Ganta from "Deadman Wonderland." He has a kind of blood magic that lets him turn his blood into ammunition. The less blood he uses the faster the shots go, and the harder it is to hit something. Any time he gets into a fight, and he always does because is he is a gladiator he causes himself to nearly bleed to death.
Not only this but there is a lengthy recovery after this, it is impossible for him to train and get better. A lifesaving power you need to survive should not be the most likely thing to kill you.
Light, Misa & that other jerk from "Death note". By using the death note you damn your immortal soul to hell for all eternity. If there is an eternal afterlife the powers of life and death are meaningless. You become a god of death cursed to give someone else a death note somewhere in your eternity and is the only brief time you can return to earth. Rinse and repeat every few millennia spending the rest of the time in a barren wasteland waiting for some other schmuck dumb enough to pick up one of the cursed tomes.
Gluttony form FMA. You are a deadly sin, the lamest deadly sin. You eat stuff all you can think about is eating stuff. You were born as a cosmic punishment for someone who tried to violate the laws of life and death. Yet those badass intimidating origins are undermined by the fact that out of Super strength Wrath, lesser shape shifting Envy ( fingers into daggers) and a different kind of laser shape shifting Greed (making your body out of Graphene or whatevs). Gluttony puts things in his mouth and eats them. that is lame.
I think Uiharu's power is lamer than Touma's. What are the applications? You're able to keep something you're touching at a constant temperature. So what?
Also, Touma's Imagine Breaker is in his right hand, not his left. It brings misfortune to anything it touches by taking away all its good fortune, and because of this cancels out all magical and esper abilities. Against power-users, it's incredibly OP, but yeah, I agree it is pretty lame.

When you were talking about the love and friendship thing, it mad me realize that Death Note probably solved the conflict better than most other anime: shooting the shit out of Light.
Soul eater is my favorite anime of all time. But the ending was fitting in a way but they could have a a more creative way of ending it but I love it a lot still.

Especially after reading the manga, the fact that Soul Eater ' s anime ending was just maka having bravery really upset me. I mean yeah the manga left us with questions(what actually is the Kishan and Crona ' s fate? What happens to marie's baby? Will maka and soul ever kiss?) But cmon. Bravery? Seriously?

I'm sorry but love and friendship is NOT the superpower itself, it is the motivation the hero/heroine finds from those whom they care about and those who care for them in order to tab into that special power that they have always possessed deep inside. That's what I really dislike about you anime otakus, you think everything has to be a superpower, I'm sorry it doesn't. Just like with Tuxedo Mask in the early 90s show, he didn't need superpowers because he was support and stability Usagi needed to keep her focused on what was really important, (getting the crystal back and reclaiming her memories and role as Princess Serenity) (yeah I used a Sailor Moon reference, just for you Robin)
HOWEVER< him getting the upgrade to actually fighting was friggin' awesome, so kudos points go to Mamoru in Crystal!

It's still an asspull in many cases. A fight that the MC has *_No Way_* of winning should be a LOSS for them to grow properly even if they lose a loved one.
Yes, the MC loves their loved ones and friends. He/She knows that already, we know that already, love is a strong thing, but that can't make you do the impossible when you are up against someone *_So Far_* ahead of you in all skills, it's like a normal Human running head first into moving train and expecting to stop the train cause they have love and friendship. Doing so lowers the stakes and hurts growth.

Well there are some anime where the "Random Friendship Powerup" makes sense, Take the one it seems get the most shit for it, Fairy Tail. In Fairy tail their power is Magic and in many forms of media and lore Magic is connected to that thing called Emotions. The stronger the emotion, The stronger the power, thus the friendship thing is literally fueling their magic increasing the insensitive of their magic.

For real, one guy has farts for his powers for crying out loud! I agree, love and friendship can be a great motivator, but it just ruins the fights for me when it's just used as it's own power most of the time. Love and friendship can make a character seem relatable and endearing to an audience. I think the reaction creators want to get with this is "Woah, I want to be on this character's side! I want to be their friend because they always win when their friends need them." And while that can be sweet, it's terrible if not done properly. I'm glad you mentioned Madoka, because the ending is such a great example of how to use love and friendship as a motivator and in it's own special way, a power. So thank you!

You people are amazing and all but "love & friendship" when put in an anime at the right moments can be perfect, giving you hope and that little bit of cheesiness we all need once in a while. Ex: Fairy Tail, friendship is a constant "theme" throughout the entire series so it is perfect when they win through the powers of "love & friendship"

In MLP a Earth Pony Stallion ripped a fucking house off of it's foundation and dragged it down the street though was under the influence of a love potion at the time, the power of love causing a hive of changelings and their queen to go flying away and then later blows a villain literally to pieces. For the friendship try a fucking rainbow of doom that will make said villain reformed if not outright destroys the said villain. Like in the second part of the pilot, Nightmare got obliterated and only Princess Luna remained afterwards. So don't underestimate the power of love and friendship. It can be LETHAL!

Love Fairy Tail to pieces but in every battle, the characters win with love and friendship. I can understand that since the characters knew one-another from childhood, and would see their guild-mates and incoming guild mates as family. Heck! If I had a dollar for everytime a FT character said "this guild is family", I could by myself a homecoming dress!
The most cheesy example in FT when love and friendship conqures all. Is Natsu and Gageel v. Sting and Rouge.
How before the fight, Lucy told Natsu she belived in him, to a few seconds before goingt he arena, Happy told Natsu he'd be cheering him on. Then everyone doing the FT finger when the two nearly gave up.Lucy did it, Elfman did it, Romeo did it....and the list goes on.
Sorta suits the anime, but its starting to get old.
CGwarrior12 Well, it has been said in Fairy Tail that the original point making the guild was to make a family, so Fairy Tail is still a very close family in the present. Mavis, the original guild leader, watches over them and strengthens them when they need it most.

No BS Friendship power of love summon with out repercussions.

I think the power of love and friendship can be really good if used properly. Like when they're working as a team with all the strength they have left. Nothing coming from thin air or any of that crap.
This has got to be my all time favorite list on here besides the senpai one and any of the hilarious ones with robin and tsume the comedy is over nine thousand love it. Especially when ellie goes nuts comedy gold right there
