  • In this video I replace the ball joint on my 2010 Corolla. Is your ball joint squeaking, knocking or complaining? Here's the tool I used to pop loose the ball joint from the wheel housing. It's called a ball joint separator. This job takes about 1-1.5 hours total for both sides if you don't run into any snags.
    The tool used:

    Hey
    Man I got a 2010 Corolla and mine makes that noise not all the time but only when my car is going slow and turning like when I back out my driveway or something. Is it the ball joint? Just want to make sure before I even try doing this 😅

    You Ball joint Have Zerk / NPT Fitting , that means it's Greaseable, Obviously whoever installed the old ones did not know what they are doing because the NPT or Zerk was never installed and it was probably Never Greased.......

    Great video, but next time I strongly suggest you get a camera man so that way we can see close ups and different angles.
    Other than that, keep up the good work 👍

    I have a 2009 Corolla and recently it has clunking noise when stop and when start. Since the ball joint is OEM since day 1, I think it is about time to change it. What brand is your new ball joint? Do you have issue removing the 3 nuts on the ball joint? Thanks for the video.👍

      I don't remember the brand, I'm sorry. It wasn't difficult to loosen the 3 bolts with a small breaker bar.

      @@ShareXP Not a problem. There is a MOOG brand but it needs to be grease but I don't have grease gun/grease but they have lifetime warranty. The other good brand is Beck Arnley but only 3 years. Your video just save me few hundred dollars plus $$ for Uber drop off and pick up car from repair shop. Thanks again.

    Hello, have you had any issues with the ball joint since it's been a year you put it on? I'm torn between getting aftermarket and oem ones, there are videos out in YT which shows wheels bent arkwardly backwards because the ball joint failed catastrophically and disconnected

      Nope, no issues!

    Does the corolla have an upper ball joint as well? Have an '06, lower definitely needs replaced.

    • @ShareXP
      @ShareXP  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nope, just one I believe. SUV's and trucks generally have 2.
