    At the time it was released, the ACR had so much potential. Bushmaster's failure to capitalize on the platform allowed it to be eclipsed today by Sig's MCX family and CZ's Bren.

    Luckily for me due to lack of sales a gun shop manager was willing to let one go NIB for $1300 becuase he was tired of looking at it vowed to get rid of it before it had a 1yr birthday on his shelf. It's been one of my favorites ever since. I will admit I was highly irritated with Bushmaster when they halted production of all things ACR while they were moving facilities. It seemed as if they keep the ACR in the closet for almost 2yrs. I believe that's where the lack of support notion came from. Now that they've finally got things back online it's looking good for the ACR.

    Not a gas issue. It’s the v1 brass deflector you’re running. Upgrade to v2 you’ll be good to go. I’ve got 10.5” 5.56 + 300blkout that runs with zero issues.

    these are still 1500 all over the internet.My sbr's acr runs great and with guys like Dana at templar precision supporting it anything you want can be done.He's got x39 mag and 556 lowers coming out along with custom barrel setups and lightened carries and trunnions. People need to get over the fact it says bushmaster on the side.

      @@Warpdrv1 I thought the the main issue that they had was the barrel losing zero. Something about the changes in quality toward to the ratchet system backing off overtime while shooting.

    • @Warpdrv1
      @Warpdrv1 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Shoppincart They have had some people have some rare issues with a bad wratchet system, have owned this gun since its inception and never had that issue swapping barrels or takedown for cleaning..... 10,000+ rounds through mine. But - There is a fix for that as well, if you so desire. Replacement Trunnion and change out the wratchet wrench barrel nut, for a standard threaded barrel nut and cut some weight (about 1 lb) at the same time. facebook.com/templarprecision/

    • @fourthhorseman4531
      @fourthhorseman4531 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      My experience has been that an adjustment is needed. I typically see up to a 1 MOA shift. I suspect it's because there's no way to accurately torque the barrel nut the same each time. Or maybe I should say that for myself just tightening the barrel nut by feel isn't exactly the same torque as the last time I put the barrel in, so I get a slight shift.

    This is what happens when a magazine company develops a rifle, and then the most poorly run firearms company in America buys the singular prototype without really inspecting it, and has to jack up the costs because of changes needed during manufacturing, which leads to a delay getting to market a rifle that 12 or so years ago, everyone wanted. Remington is the master of coming up short, so at least in this respect, they did what we thought they would: fail.

      There's no way something new to market produced by a single maker would ever be 1000 dollars.

    • @bronzeguy9839
      @bronzeguy9839 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, it wouldn’t do well priced at a grand. This isn’t your typical mass-produced AR-15. They have to make up the costs of production. Lowering the price just means lowering the profit margin. How do they pay for raw materials? Labor and wages? Equipment and machinery cost and maintenance? Facilities and utilities? Marketing, advertising, and shipping costs? It adds up. Therefore, no, selling this for cheap just means they take losses left and right.
