GENIUS!!… every attempt at this I’ve done in the past has left me in a sweating dither, from wrestling with the cushion, trying to get it into the cover!
Excellent! I have a couple of outdoor chairs that had dirty cushions that needed to be cleaned in the washing machine. I removed the foam and used the method described and had the large cushions in the cover in a matter of seconds. No way I could have squeezed the foam back in without this video. Thank you!!
Thank you so much! I am a senior who previously had many problems putting my cushion covers back on, after washing. This made it so much easier. Thank you!
I wish I would've known that when I was struggling with putting my couch cushion covers back on for my grandma. It took me about 30 minutes per cushion and she had 2 six seat suede couches. But I will be trying this method any other time I have to put on a cushion cover. Thank you for sharing
Very well explained. I re-upholstered my first sofa (a hand-me-down) when I was just 19. I used this method then after a conversation with my neighbour. It's a great tip that I've used ever since then. My neighour had only said to use a plastic yard leaf bag and the hoover. It took me hours to figure out how to get the plastic bag out afterwards. Thank you for passing it along to everyone with such a great explanation!
You just gave me hope. I recently washed the chaise slipcover and couldn't get it back on properly because it shrunk 😢. Now I just need to find a big enough bag.
Spin the plastic bag around and pull it out. Or have the bottom of the plastic bag facing you. Then pull. This also works for TED compression hose if you are a Nurse.
Thank you so much for this video!!! You helped to turn an impossible task into one that was just "difficult" ;-) . The reason mine was more difficult compared to yours was that I used Tesco 100 litre bin bags. These are the biggest they sell (at least at my Tesco), and they are only just big enough to fit around the cushion - you don't have the excess to wrap around the vacuum pipe. But it still works if you push the pipe into the foam...which starts to shrink and that allows you to get some more room in the bag. BUT...these bin bags are super difficult to actually remove once the cushion is in the cover. I did find that spraying the inside and outside of the bag with Mr Sheen polish seemed to help. Once again - you saved me from total frustration so THANK YOU!!
I've been in a grueling wrestling match with my cushions and covers for like 3 days I'm exhausted and really hoping this is going to end the match, with me the Winner!
Try it and you'll see it will give you much less control on how quick the cushion goes back to its original size and you probably won't have time to make the adjustments you'd need to make sure the foam corners are in the right place inside the cushion
I just did this after watching your video and you seriously saved me from throwing out the whole couch! Thank you for this!

I’ve been avoiding cleaning my covers for this reason - your video has given me hope. Hahaha. Thank you so much!!

Why not face the bag the other way and just pull it out while it's expanding
That might work too. Have you tried that?
Update me when you try this lol
Where would the hoover nozzle go??

Thank you. This is life changing I will definitely employ this technique as I’m in the process of slip covering my sofa.
Wow! Thanks for this video. I have an entire outdoor set to put back together today, this will be so helpful!

Brilliant! I wish I’d thought to try TH-cam 36 hours ago! I’m almost tempted to pull them back out, just to be able to use this method 😂.
Lol
Such a simple thing and so easy to do. Thankyou for this amazing tip.

Love this tip! I watched this video a year ago and finally used it today😊
Wow I have wondered this my whole life. Thank you

Great tip! Wash your cushion covers, just dont dry them!
This technique is genius!
Haven't tried it yet looks brilliant.
Seriously helpful!!! Thank you so much!!!
Outstanding video! You are Fine too!
😂😂😂
Thank you so much, I truly appreciate this video.
I’m thinking you could shrink then place the bag in opening first then pull the bag out in torn ?! No problem.
Thank you so much! What a great trick! ❤
Absolutely brilliant thank you for sharing 🙌🙌🙌
Thanks very much!
Brilliant thank you

You just changed my life! 😂😂😂
Any tricks to wash the back cushions that are just filled with fiber?
Its hard to say as fabric vary. Would most likely be dry clean only. Take your covers to them for their advise. Sorry to not be more helpful.
Brilliant...... thank you so much.
That's was so helpful. Thank you
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Where can I find big bags like that?
Worked ! Now I am going to shrink wrap all my bedlinens I have stored in bags-
Incredible - thank you
What a fantastic tip thank you very much
Ingenious!!
Thanks for sharing. Took me all of 35 minutes to replace my covers…
I've been in a grueling wrestling match with my cushions and covers for like 3 days I'm exhausted and really hoping this is going to end the match, with me the Winner!
Where are these bags on your website???
What is the Oder code for the bags? Can’t find them on your website?
Awesome 👌 😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
Fantastic...off I go to the website to see how to get covers off in the first place🤔
Lol
What is the bag used? Clear trash bag?
I can easily insert a square foam myself but what about if I have a foam with the Lshape? Any recommendation?
We use the same technique for that and it works too! Good luck.
Hugh Grant! What are you doing working in a sofa foam factory?
Haha don't inflate his ego. 🎈
here is your 👍 sir!!
You my friend are a fucking legend!!@❤
I don’t want to waste 7 bags. Can I quickly flip it around and pull the bag from the bottom out?
You can certainly try!
Great tip, but why the reflective vest?
He is in a factory it's for H&S. 😃
Brilliant
Yo !!! That’s fuckin genius !!!
Will this also work on high density foam?
Yes it will if your vacuum is up to it. 😃
Fab!
Fantastic! Thank you! I'm thinking also, leave the bag in to prevent spills from soaking into the foam?
You going to sweat
I wouldn't do that - depending on the type of plastic in the bag you'll be driven crazy with the rustling noise.
Why didn't you put the pillow in backwards to slide the bag out?
Try it and you'll see it will give you much less control on how quick the cushion goes back to its original size and you probably won't have time to make the adjustments you'd need to make sure the foam corners are in the right place inside the cushion
@@fengshui23683 i will try it and let you know how I get on
What happens if you leave the plastic bag in
It might rustle? You could try it and let us know?
Do u recommend where in the states I can buy foam to replace my couch cushion since u don’t ship outside the UK??
I do not know other than a quick Google sorry.
This wonderful help. I want to marry you now Lol
Couldn't you just reverse it and keep the bag?
Then how would you get the bag gathered around the vacuum nosle?
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻👏🏻🫡🥇
