You was right the first time unbolt that steering column to take that gauge cover out.Cause if you don't you going to fuck around and crack that cover ask me how I know!
Did you experience the speedometer moving while the car was still? If so, how to you correct it. Tks
It wasnt moving for me, most likely bc I had a different transmission and I never got that far into the install to get it connected. I ended up giving the dash to my friend who is going to put it in his 79. I believe there is a switch on it to change which vehicle it is reading but it has been a while so I cant quite remember. Or maybe there is a way to calibrate it. I dont have it anymore and it has been a while so most of the info I can offer is probably in one of the videos but yeah I never got it all connected. @@headymurphy112 I believe for mph you have to put the conversion cable which I think comes with it. I dont know what year box you have but if it has original speedo cable there should be a piece that comes with intellitronix kit that allows you to convert it to electric.

That seatbelt one... Its timed... I will believe its for the buzzer when u first turn the car on and it goes off after a few seconds

I have a 1989 chevy caprice I was tryna install the same dash into but it's a stick 305 would it still work?

Yo bro so I got a 84 caprice and I got this same digital dash…am I having to change my cluster to an 86 and up cluster or not ?
no probably not but the newer style one fits all the stuff that comes with the kit. You might have to make some mods to yours but you can make it work but there are a bunch of different styles so I am not sure which one you have

Hey bro, u never gave a complete/final update on what wires from the cluster should go to on the factory harness.
I still have not finished installing it. i have been super busy with other stuff and havent had time to work on the caprice. i dont think i ever found one for a caprice but maybe a different gm. most of the wire colors are the same. i was meaning to find a wiring diagram eventually but still havent. you can maybe search google . i think i found one for a monte carlo from the 80s or maybe a different year caprice. i cant remember. if i find it i will put it up.

You didn't need the plug anymore, take a small screw driver and push the little retaining clip and pull wires out of plastic plug and use the wires straight off the plug.
that is true but i might put the original dash back in but yeah there are a lot of ways to do it, whatever works . that is a good way tho.

I have a 95 swap in my 79 so some of my stuff hooks up different . I havent got some of my stuff working yet as well, due to it being different in my car than for other box chevs and also due to time. I will do follow up video when I get to it but it will be a while. Many people ask for the wiring diagram which I have not been able to locate yet for the caprice. I believe I used a monte carlo one from the 80s as most gm are the same wires. As soon as I can find one I will put it online.

Has anyone had a problem with the turn signals in the Box Chevy? Dark Blue and Light Blue are suppose to be front left and right in the factory dash cluster. I've got nothing since the change. Any ideas?
Check your 20 amp fuse and also clean the ground wire connectors in the front of the engine bay

Where can I get the wiring diagram for an 89 brougham
you might be able to google search or use another year as they are all pretty similar. but in a manual probably if you cant find one online. alot of the dash wires are the same color for all GM . like the blue and lt blue are the blinkers, gray is dimmer, etc ... i think most of them are the same/similar. dont quote me on that tho. good luck. i just google searched and found one. i have a 79 but i think i used a different year.

Any pics of your wiring diagram
If I find one i will post it . I believe i used one from a monte carlo or el camino g body because it was all i could find online. for the most part gm used all the same color wires to run things.
