This is song is in my top 5 of all time. The vibes along with hidden complexity make it something to float away to or analyze the heck out of...Thanks for this beauty and for the play through video.
Holy Guacamole dude, I've got goosebumps all over my effin' body. This is some of the most tasteful playing I've ever seen in rock/metal, and I mean it. No notes are out of place, no drum part was underused or overused. I thought this song was weaker than others on this album but after seeing this video I'll never listen to it the same way again. Please upload more playthroughs!
Great Adam! waiting for the new album. Winning the fucking war against this "strange" virus and so useful to some and trusting recovery in music like yours. Good luck, companions.
I'm pretty sure this is the only video where you have a wingnut on your main crash. Love your playing, Adam. I'm studying your parts HARD. I'm eager to know who your drumming influences are.
I recently broke up with my partner. This song honestly heals me, it's so soothing, Asger's voice is so amazing. Adam is just the cutest, I love him ❤😏
Would love to know the inspiration behind this groove, so slick. This is one of those songs that just wouldn’t hit as well if there was a different beat to it.
@@drummerblade I didn't have to, Smartfriend was good, but the 5 or six others teased before the official release, not so much. That's already half of a disappointing album. I've promoted Smartfriend to many people, but once the other songs got previewed, I got more and more disappointed.
I'd hardly file the sort of music they made on this album under "mainstream rock." Soft prog, maybe. And Whaler is certainly metal enough to give me doubts that they're not planning on making heavier music in the future.
I watch this periodically. I found out that it's a good mood booster.
VOLA is love, VOLA is life.
Adam has the smoothest and chillest play I have ever seen.
#VOLAinMyHeart
dude is mellow af
Y’all need to see some of his other videos- dude has mad energy and truly plays to the song not his full ability
I think this is technically beautiful. The way he applies linear drumming to prog, reminds me of Sean Reinert and Joey Baca.
HOW COULD THIS VIDEO HAVE ONLY 3K VIEWS!?!? THIS IS DRUMMING GOLD!!
Integrating complex and yet subtle features in the song while making it feel incredibly groovy and consistent. You are a true music genius.
Love the hihat patterns floating around the bassdrum locking with the bass.

That's the best sounding snare I've ever heard ! Wow..makes me want to get out my black panther
Those byzantine crashes sound ridiculously good.
Adam, I didn't notice how amazing your floor toms sound.. Wow
Freakin’ great. Adam has me thinking of Gavin Harrison.
1:34 when you know you nailed the Fill :D
Great job buddy, love it!
This song has such strong pain of Salvation vibes. This is the one that turned me on to you guys. Love it.
Sick! I've never realised until now the complexity of this beat!

What a breakthrough drummer! Fantastic Ideas! Much love to Vola and Adam! Peace from Detroit MI.
Such a nice soft touch almost jazzy feel to how he plays this. Fantastic!
Wow! Absolutely nailed it
Wow so much feeling and control in your drumming!!
Beautiful mr janzi
I love this song so much.
Everything sounds good and right! Great great tasteful drumming.
Stunning!
Insanely laidback considering how complicated this seems to play. And that snare is so juicy!
Damn, that snare sounds so rad!!
great song and great beat. I really love the fill and cymbal accents
Omg why this guy is so underrated. He's a machine!
So smooth. Awesome
I was concerned when Vola had to find a new drummer. You killed it though! Love your style.
One of my favourites from the album! So glad to see this playthrough!
Buttery style and finesse. That kit sounds so good.
Just discovered VOLA last week, and I'm overjoyed. You guys are incredible.
love you guys so much, cheers from Brazil.
It was an absolute pleasure meeting you in Haarlem Adam, keep doing what you're doing!
Great work, Adam! And a great song as well!
Man you just know how to get so many sounds and textures out of the kit. It kills me.
Adam you nailed it in Munich. What a feeling!!! The whole band Vola was Killer! Keep on prog'in!
So dynamic, perfectly connected to the mudic
Smooth as butter!
Nice mood and flow to it.. Cool !
That was bloody beautiful, dude! Your cymbal work and dynamics are exceptional. Recent new fan of VOLA and absolutely loving what you guys are doing.
So good!! Love the different ending on this without the fade out!
Loooove this track. Thanks for sharing, Adam. Can't wait to see you guys with Haken in Madrid!!
laid back timing. sindsygt lækkert.

damn, you can hear the weight of that left hand as it moves through the air to the snare. Like an anvil is attached to it coming down
Beautifull drumming dude, what a band... I FUCKING LOVE YOU.
these playthroughs are just beautiful
those snare ghost notes are so nice!
Sweet skills, Adam!
Wonderfully mellow tune

Fantastic. Quando tornate in Italia? Tour?
1:30 oh please yes!
Great tune to see being played! I was falling over myself in October trying to work it out!
Awesome!
the all set sounds amazing but the cymbals ... GOD!! makes me fly!! #VOLAmakesmefly
Thats a nice hashtag;)
Can I borrow one of your four brains? You are AMAZING
1:29 Solid!
Så jäkla bra låt och trumspel! Grymt!!
I love this song
Ultra chill, my dude!!
That bass drop always gives me goosebumps :3
Also that kick sounds killer... What skin do u use? Is that an EMAD or GMAD?
Great!
Any bass playthrough coming soon? :))
Yeah! /,,/ Waiting for "Whaler"
Super nice!
So... NOW i know how!.. ;) Thanks Adam.
DEAR LORD!
Wow dude!
Makes it look so easy
applause of a distant crowd in next drum playthrough. please?!!
Wow, great drumming!
🤗😍🥁🎹👍
In what time signature is this master pice
Shia Lebouf is a Hell of a drummer
Love it!
Amazing :-)
Would love to know the inspiration behind this groove, so slick. This is one of those songs that just wouldn’t hit as well if there was a different beat to it.
Don't know if the Vola guys will see this, but I'll be damned if this song doesn't remind me of OSI's Wind Won't Howl (in a great way)
this guy is good, he should play in a band
just saying
Am I the only appreciating the light under the Toms?
Apparently yes lol
Svinbra!
Sexy ass groove!
insert something about shia labeouf, also I could watch this all fucking day
Such a bummer when a band abandons metal.
Good thing that the music they're making instead is just as good
And you clearly didn't listen to the whole album if you think they've completely abandoned metal. It's still there, just in lower doses.

@@drummerblade Yeah, and there are countless other bands that only made mainstream rock from the get-go and crush these guys.
