Are you a house cleaning business owner who is thinking about uniforms for your house cleaners? Then we have the perfect playlist for you. I will discuss the pros and cons of house cleaners, maids and house cleaning business owners wearing uniforms when cleaning houses. This is not to be missed. th-cam.com/play/PLh1fKdNH3piSiYcM5VSQ6uspOFkdYt_bW.html
Thanks so much for this Angela. I run a small carpet and upholstery cleaning business here in Canada and had not placed that much importance in having a uniform shirt but this episode really stresses what that little detail can make. I am also thinking of taking on some house cleaning clients to fill in the gaps in my schedule. You have a very insightful channel as a reference. Thanks again!
I use scrubs. It keeps cool all through the day. Tank tops can give the wrong idea to some customers, they will cross the line at some point if you project that image.
Thanks for watching. Wearing a uniform equals the playing field for all the cleaners on our team and creates consistency in the minds of our clients. Uniforms are like a secret magic bullet that solve little unconscious questions in the minds of everybody involved in the cleaning process.
One thing I don't care about scrubs, before I became a janitor I was a nurse and every time scrub pants would always roll off me, even now I hate wearing scrubs 😂
We try to stay with Navy or Black because they look professional and hide dirt, dust and grime. We also choose something like Dickies relaxed fit cargo pants (here is the paid link amzn.to/3JQ46pc) and they have long and short pants. The short ones come right at the knee so they still cover the bulk of your legs and give you the pocket power of the longer pants but are great for the summer months.
I recently ordered T-Shirts from Vistaprint, and, well... They look alright. I'm going to go with a collered shirt as well. It's just really hot here in Arizona, and wearing a polo shirt would just be really uncomfortable.
Hi thank you very much, am starting my cleaning company in south africa named TD DREAMS CLEANING SERVICES and am following every step, I know I will be successful all thanks to you 🙏🙏

@Angela Brown Cleaning Hey, I just saw the trailer for Fox's series, The Cleaning Lady, and apparently the main character's uniforms is the same as yours. Were you by any chance their creative consultant, or did they "steal" your branding?
I was not a creative consultant on the show but am flattered they chose to copy. Note: If they need a creative consultant they can contact my head of media relations Media (at) SavvyCleaner.com I'd love to help. 😍
Hi Angela i see that there is a link to a scholarship program Im extremely interested but this video appears to be years old. Is this scholarship program still in affect ..its stating December 2024 as deadline. Thanks so much in advance
Here is a paid link to my Amazon store: www.amazon.com/shop/angelabrown/list/2PP8X1F7DIICY?ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ons_mixed_d You’ll find uniform options. 😊
I currently work for a cleaning franchise and we wear cotton T shirts. If you're starting a business I would not recommend it. like Angela says, It's unprofessional and you see sweat stains.
What about a second layer for chilly days, before you get warmed up from moving around? (I live in the northeast). Sweatshirts seem very casual, yet sweaters not appropriate either. And up here most customers don't have central air conditioning so in warm weather I tend to go with neat dark capri length yoga/sweat pant, but wondering if it would be ok to wear a "dickies" type short. Long length. Overheating is bad for my productivity!
Hi Angela I work for a very successful cleaning company now we dont have uniforms so I wear usually white tees and khaki pants but I have alot of tattoos *sleeves*on my arms and chest and leg area ...I do have alot of customers that feel intimidated by me I am very professional and don't come off as a hard ass...any ideas on a uniform for me...it is very hot where I am so it's hard to find something without showing to much skin....ty Angela...
Sorry about that. Here is a link to recommended house cleaning uniforms: www.amazon.com/shop/angelabrown?listId=2PP8X1F7DIICY Keep me posted on what uniforms you decide on! 🤗
Some tattoos don't look good right? But having them is a personal choice. If one has obscene tattoos that would hamper a companies brand wearing a long sleeve shirt may be a good business move. But the world is far more accepting of tattoos now than they were ten years ago - it's usually not a big deal.
I mostly live in cotton T-shirts, because that's what I find comfortable, and because when they wear out, they make great cleaning rags (even though I'm not a professional house cleaner!). When I am editing a book, no one sees me, so I wear the same clothes I would if I were not working. But when I preach a retreat, that's different. I wear a black suit and my Lay Dominican cross. Always. Beyond a dress code, beyond even a uniform, it is my "habit." (Actually, only the cross is officially the Lay Dominican habit, but the black suit has become one for me.)

Hello. Great and helpful video 👍 but what about trousers?

Do you recommend having a website for a small house cleaning business?

Dear Angela do you think tattoos dont look good should one wear long sleves
Some tattoos don't look good right? But having them is a personal choice. If one has obscene tattoos that would hamper a companies brand wearing a long sleeve shirt may be a good business move. But the world is far more accepting of tattoos now than they were ten years ago - it's usually not a big deal.
I wonder if they make them down to the elbow sleeve>>>?
What type of pants do you wear with the collard shirt?
What do you think about the uniforms that housekeepers at hotels use? I was thinking about something like that, maybe one of the ones with collars.
It won’t look good with shorts , would it?
I mostly live in cotton T-shirts, because that's what I find comfortable, and because when they wear out, they make great cleaning rags (even though I'm not a professional house cleaner!). Collard shirts to me look more professional.
Thank you for all the generous information you provide. A question: what are the best parameters for make-up and jewellery?
Great advice, thank you.
