Good answers to important questions.. dealing with multimeters are not like learning to use a calculator.. which I've had to warn a few ppl to really ask questions read about & really know exactly how to properly test various ac & dc currents the proper way so no damage is caused.

Thank you from Ireland. That was a much more useful explanation than the one I seen from FLUKE !!

Nice video content! Apologies for butting in, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you heard about - Franaar Shining Shape Formula (search on google)? It is a good exclusive guide for revealing the secret to repair your electronic devices without the normal expense. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my close friend Aubrey finally got cool success with it.

    Great tutorial thanks.
Maybe a stupid question but can you use the min max mode on current reading?
    Thanks.

Thanks! I want to get the min max mA current of my project, it seems to fluctuate quite a bit.
There are so many meters out there it’s hard to choose! Is there one you would recommend for 3 to 12 V projects, want it to be accurate autoranging and to be able to measure A, mA and uA
      Thanks.

@@iantcroft Do you have a price range?

The lower cost the better really but can be up to £80. At the cheaper end was looking at the Aneng AN9002 or SZ18 or higher cost BM235 or fluke 17b+
Ideally want the smallest size meter, accuracy and good range.
      Not asking much am I!

Well, I would never try to talk anyone out of a Fluke, or a Brymen, if you can afford those. For the low voltage work you are doing, you can use just about any meter. Many meters like the Aneng are very accurate, but lack input protection. I would never recommend a Aneng to people doing high voltage or high power work. But, for low voltage stuff, you would be happy with what they can do. I was sent some Kaiweets low end meters that were very good for low voltage stuff. But, I would be hesitant to use them above 240V.
Since you are looking at current over time, I like that the Brymen has a Min, Max, Avg function. Of the meters you mentioned, it is the only one that has Average. But, I don’t have that Brymen, I I don’t know if it is a true average function. Somewhere in my stack of meters, I have a Klein clamp meter that has a true average over time, but that won’t work for you. I don’t own a DMM that has true average over time. For small, accurate, and durable, I really like the Fluke 107, but that does not do uA and mA, so that is out. So, of the 4, I would probably go Brymen, and hope the avg is not just the difference between Min and Max.
