Stranded in Paradise || Experiencing The Cook Islands

A real world travel guide around The Cook Islands. The Cook Islands are a 6 hour flight south of Hawaii. I would highly recommend visiting these pacific islands. Hawaiian Airlines operates a direct flight connecting Honolulu to Rarotonga. I came on a Sunday so much of the town was closed. Even on a rainy day I still had a ball exploring the Island by foot, bus, and hitchhiking. I was shocked to see so many Kei Cars and Mini Trucks on the Island.

I visited Rarotonga and Aitutaki in the early 90s. My wife and I had a special dinner on our "last" night. But when we went to the airport, their once a week flight was delayed for 24 hours! Sometimes, even flights are on "island time."
