- PhD is Doctorate of Philosophy in a particular subject. Unfortunately many PhD aspirants are unaware of the untold struggle ahead of PhD and they drain out all their energies working for the PhD only. Lets talk about the problem as well as solution to this problem prevailing in India.
If someone can not survive after completing Ph.D financially,At the end end of the day someone loses interest.

They dont hire PhD people coz its not easy.. Stay tuned coz part-3 will contain why they dont hire or in some cases why PhD degree holders are not recruitable.

@@knowledgetooster112 What do you mean by "directly"? AFAIK, there ain't no concept of campus placement for PhDs. What about "he is not applying?" You can't get a job if you don't apply.
Whatever, my take is, the government should increase the entry barrier for PhDs even higher so that only the highly motivated people get the opportunity, and the undo pandoo public should stay away from PhDs as it is messing up the supply and demand and dropping the overall quality of PhDs. People should understand Phd is not a 5 years employment scheme after master degree.
Higher education particularly PhD never meant to be High paying jobs in any part of the world. And majority of students pursue PhD for good career jobs. And they ended over age ,over qualified and unemployed. Research and PhD was always for rich and curious people. For PhD people who don't have good financial conditions students always find other options.
PhD is research in which you observe and hypothesise your own philosophy rather than a degree.

I am abroad doing postdoc. Even here the academic job market is not good. Just a percentage of phd graduates get group leader positions after postdoc. Only thing is there are more industry jobs that take phd's here, so many people move to industry. Although it's not always their first priority. Or people keep on doing temporary research jobs.

problem is with University...I am telling lot of professors that why can u not take phd topics on the products which we are importing from the outside ..make the institute a hub for r and d and product...phd shall be focused on product oriented research instead of paper oriented.....thats the problem with this country now ..what do you think?...this is my experience from IISC....
Yep. Thats also one of the reasons why Private investors are not funding much to researchers. Also paper oriented research is leading India towards a darker side.

mam, in the end money matters. PHD kr ke kya fayda, pehle koi bhi achhi si job ki prepration krna thk hai, ya technical course BED, DEL.ED.

In states govt they just take objective type paper for post of assistant professor and you can do phd after getting selected
For assistant professor only NET is required. You can do phd later, as it required for promotion

Not having much idea about the University. You can check its QS ranking and go for PhD. I have talked about the Pros and cons of PhD you can watch it.

Yes but varry karta hai college/University to college/University. Experience v matter karta hai. UGC net minimum amount set kar rakha hai usse kum nahi mil sakti.

Interview Committee ko konsa Insititute pasand hai yeh kisi specific aadmi ko kaise pata ? Khud Woh University/Institute jo advertisement nikalti hai woh v yeh chiz claim nahi karti hai. Sidhe saaf sabdon mein likha jata hai eligibility jisme kisi specific institute/University ke preference k baare mein keh nahi sakte hain

I want to be profesor in college.
I hv completed my bsc in zoology.
Would I hv to take admission in msc zoology or lifescience or any other related subjects.
Will it effect my path during becoming a professor.
This is a vast topic. I will talk about this in a video. Zoology is basic so B.Sc wont matter much. But yes M.Sc subjects will matter a lot. You have to clear UGC NET after that. Then PhD 😅
@@AnweshawithDhananjay yea mam I know, I'm concerned if my msc subject will affect the professor post. Like if a choose any minor subject like genetics I know it will be good for reasearch but when taking about the professor post and all they will prioritize mother subjects like zoology , botany etc

It may or may not depending upon where you are applying to become an Assistant Professor 1st. At some places they have specifically asked for a Genetics or Biotech M.Sc but at some places they say any parent subject or allied or relevant subject.
Parent subject will be better as per the number of posts when compared.

Take easy topic which has proper research background if you dont have any other option than PhD. If you really want to become a faculty then you can do the above.
If you want job no matter what kind of job it is then try for some easier job rather than UPSC.
