That reminds me of my grandpa he was always fixing things and I would go in the garage with him and look at all the little mechanical bits an pieces he had, organized in those tiny little cabinets, some screws still in the original packaging from the 50's. He passed away ages ago unfortunately but now all of those shelves and toolboxes are in my basement work table and I use them to this day
My dad was always decorating the house - the sound of someone working away either plastering or just putting wallpaper up is so soothing and I miss it.

I thought it was going to be painted red but when i saw that metallic blue with the clear top coat i was sold. fantastic job. Here's a tip for you as well, add a small amount of dish washing soap the the water when sanding, makes a big difference.

Loved the towtruck at the start!! Incredible transformation of this little car, I was cheering for prowler purple, but that blue came out perfectly. I never thought of jb weld as a filler, seems to work great, I'm gonna carry that with me. A further push would be to hand paint the sidepipes and undercarriage details with an aluminum colored silver. Car looks cool!!
I just want to say that you inspired me to redo the two gliders on my front porch. The process is slow but I think that it's calming and I feel better after working on it. Thank you for all the amazing work you do.😊

MOST of the details of these restorations, I feel like I could handle. But there are TWO standout SUPERHUMAN QUALITIES in these I know I couldn't replicate: patience for sanding, and the cleanliness of the tools! Kudos

So many times I thought it was just about done and then you pulled out some other bit of magic out of your hat. Vacuum forming a top? That is awesome. In case you wonder if this praise is hyperbole,let me tell you right now "it is not". This was one of the best I have seen to date. It was worth the wait. Thank you.

Personally, I liked this video alot. I think it was very creative the way you showed a wrecker tow in the "next" project. This car means more to me than some of the others, as I still have my roadster from when new, early 60's. Another toy saved by Mom. I noticed that it has an interior. Mine does not. In fact it doesn't even have an opening. Perhaps an earlier version. Also my complements on the manufacture of the roof and the wind screen frame. Both are very close to the original. Beautiful !!! You did not seem to know that there was a small rear window opening. No matter , Still a Beautiful job !!!
I just stumbled upon this video and I must say that the attention to detail for this restoration is way beyond my expectations. I'm sure many of us have some memories of playing with the toys which were made of metal or wood. Those were the days when cheap plastic was not even was being used for cattle feed packages. Looking at this toy car took me back to my childhood

That chrome powder-coat blew my mind. I've never seen that before. That saves so much time and effort over proper chrome-plating. I can't wait to look into this.
I can't even tell you how much I appreciate you filling in the rust holes. It's so disappointing in restoration videos when they pan over the finished product and it has all those pockmarks in the paint. I always want to shout "cheater!" Seriously, amazing job!
Constructive criticism: the way the intro was done is great, but unnecessary. It gives away too much of the video and may lead to more click offs. Maybe do something shorter without revealing too much. Hope this helps! love your videos!
Suggestion: perhaps start with a few *close-ups* of different steps of the process, so it doesn't give away too much but it is appealing? 🤔 And in this case I would definitely add a couple of seconds (here and there) of the "white-circle-things" that *click* into the tires, WITH THE SOUND! Wow, you can still get spares for this? The sticker, sidewalls, hubcaps and seat insert probably cost more than five of the new cars did in 1960. Well done, a beautiful refurb job (this went w-a-a-a-a-y beyond a simple 'restore' which implies back to factory standard. This is collectors' level shit, a really great piece of work).
The sidewalls can be done relatively simply at home using silicone molds (material easily obtained at craft stores) cast from an original. You’d need to do a little legwork to get the right rubbery sidewall formula, as resin isn’t flexible enough, but it looks like a simple piece to cast.

The sidewalls can be done relatively simply at home using silicone molds (material easily obtained at craft stores) cast from an original. You’d need to do a little legwork to get the right rubbery sidewall formula, as resin isn’t flexible enough, but it looks like a simple piece to cast.
