Did you ever complete the sapphire crystal replacement? Would love to see that, not many tutorial online for it
I did replace the factory glass with a sapphire crystal. I took it to a local watch shop though, as I did not have the proper tools to do the swap myself.

I did not install the sapphire crystal myself, as I don't have the necessary tools for it. I took it to a local watch repair shop and they were able to install it for me for a small fee.

I took out one link on one side, and two links from the other, just to keep it as symmetrical as I could.

Great clear video. does the gen 5 solve the issue of excessive overhang the gen 3 has, I have a small wrist.

@@iBJanky I think he's referring to the first link not really pivoting on earlier generations, so it sticks out if you have small wrists. It's a common complaint/issue. On the gen 5, does the first link of the band articulate or is it fixed?

@@Painkiller456 Gen 5 has a crown whilst Gen 4 doesn't.
Gen 6 has the addition of crown guards, some big pushers for the buttons on the right side, and small integrated buttons on the left side. Here's a link:

Does the 5th gen better than the 3rd gen mod? Because i heard that the 3rd gen doesn't fit very well even though all the screw are taken out
Yes, the 5th gen is better than the older ones.
The fake crown ruins it.
Other than that, this mod suits & transforms the watch so well.

Do you think there is a difference between the Ali express case and the more expensive cases on eBay and Amazon? I’d like to save a dollar who wouldn’t
If you don’t mind waiting a week or two, I’d definitely go the aliexpress route since they’re usually cheaper there.
Where did you take off the 3rd link from? From the male or female?
I can’t remember anymore. I usually take off links from whichever side is needed to make sure the clasp is centered on my wrist when I’m wearing it. It varies from person to person, so see which side works for you.
I went through Aliexpress and can't seem to find any that gen 5s that have the screws on top. In particular, I would love a gold with black straps to pair with a black Casioak that has gold dial accent! Anyone have a link they could share? :)
Most of them didnt show the real picture. The one i bought didnt show the screws on top either, however, the seller wrote a note that the real one has them on the case.
Someone make a case/mod for f91w already. 😁

I'm not familiar with the SKX kit, as I bought mine from AliExpress. They're probably all made in the same factory though.

Can’t get the rubber off the dial
