Sorry once again for this video being delayed by a day! The Christmas period has been quite busy. Hope you've enjoyed the festive period. What did you think of this episode? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
After Claire had explained to Jaimie what actually happened .. Jamie did feel a little bad... about hurting John... and Claire has been very positive about John... Jaimie and John are still .. close... deep inside... But .. Jaimie has always thought of John as queer... and is shocked that he could be with a woman.... and worst his own wife...!! This is the part that Jamie is upset about... that John can actually be physical with a woman...?? Jamie mentioned to John out of anger about his "Buggering"...this is the 1700's and of course there was a lot of queerness going on, but it was hidden and or mostly ignored .... except if a straight man was approached ... the queer could be killed, and no one would care..... Also, Jamie was upset that his own wife was defiled by another man..!!!... They all will come to terms. That they are All family.... mostly because of their care of William... who now has a bio-dad and step-dad... and a step-mother...... that is the real facts...
@ have you read the books. At least up until book 9 they haven’t yet come to terms and Jamie was still pissed. I think book 10 will bring them back but it will differ from season 8 because book 10 isn’t out yet and season 8 will be the end of series. Jamie always knew that Lord John could be physical with women, just that his preference was men and Jamie in particular so it was the comment that really got him mad.
The reason Jamie can’t forgive Lord John isn’t because he slept with Claire. It’s because when he was sleeping with her he was in fact sleeping with Jamie, and having been raped by Black Jack, Jamie was not happy with that statement. It’s all in the books.
Whatever his reasons may be for being upset, he was still an ass for leaving LJG with the rebels. Jamie’s entire family (including himself) should have been 6 feet under by now if it weren’t for John. That should have counted for something in his head
Why didn't LJG or Claire mention that he married Claire to save her from the gallows in the midst of that whole mourning period. Not a fan of how that all went down. Stupid story line.
I actually think that Bree will go back to his Claire and Jamie’s timeline. And Roger thinking he will go back to present day will end up to where Bree went. Remember when going through the stones you think of the person you want to be with. That’s what will happen. That’s my own theory. Don’t know if that would Happen but would be good if it did.
He does not want him to be executed in the book, he tried not to recognise him, it was another soldier who exposed who Lord John was. He was very unhappy over it.
I am sorry they did not do the whole delightful Dorothea plot line. And the wedding, with all the-in-laws in attendance, would have been so much more fun. Ah well, it is TV, and our hard working actors did well with the material they were given. I’m glad there are long well written books to enjoy, again, and again and again. And again. The TV action did well when they followed or were able to, follow the book plots, (disclaimer: i adored the actor who brought Murtaugh to life, but bringing him back after he died at Coloden really screwed up the plot, and missed the chance of a fine actor to develop the corkscrew twisted piece of work that was Jocasta, but it is TV, with actors, and writers. Books can do things live humans can’t and, boyoboy, Diana really put her characters through some stuff that one simply can not do to characters played by living humans, some that only book characters could hope to survive, because…they were written. And from the actors point of view, some of it didn’t just look pretty grim, it was (they don’t just stand around looking pretty!). In all, it was a grand try, and made lots of folks happy. There were things i enjoyed. But i am a reader, and this is not the first book put on film. The pictures the author draws stick in our heads, and not every production can satisfy. They can give us a taste of what the books gave us, if done well. I won’t stop watching film, l love fine actors and acting, but i will almost always stay in truest love with the book.
I personally find this whole Outlander series, season by season, had distorted books it was depicting. For me many of the actors do not resemble the characters they are portraying in looks. The books described the main characters very clearly, so for me it’s hard to totally accept the casting. There have been scenes added that never took place in books, and some from the books totally omitted. I prefer the books as they give a better representation. Everything in the latest series appears to be in totally the wrong sequence to a lot of what’s in the book.

you're forgiven
Merry Christmas
Don’t need to apologize
Thanks!
William is a very interesting character, He's so likable
Yeah he's grown a lot in this season!
Jamie was being a jerk. LJG saved Claire from being hanged.
Well I am sure Jamie could accept him marrying her but not sleeping with her. That and how he told him. Really, Lord John?

@@katerinecatindig exactly !!👍

I also wondered why Lord John didn't explain the reason for the marriage. Did the script writers forget?
That’s the bottom line, stupid storyline.
I've lost interest in Ian and Rachel's love story too. I thought it was just me
The plains of Abraham was a pivotal battle. Also my favorite book from high-school.

Interesting theory!

Arabella not Ariana

Please get it correct it’s the battle of MONMOUTH not Manmouth.
