You mentioned getting these because you wanted water proofing plus a warmer shoe. I have a pair of Shower's Pass waterproof socks (Crosspoint Ultra light) that though pricey (around $40 US) are also quite warm, certainly warm enough at 0C or colder. Relying on socks to keep my feet dry means I'm not sacrificing breathability of the shoe for when waterproofing is not needed.
That's a very good idea, then like you say you don't have to worry about breathability! Il look into those socks when it starts getting cold again. Might be different options here in the UK
Thanks Michael! Do you have a pair? Ah that's really useful to know thank you. Do you mean the music in the intro is much louder than the rest? I'm not sure how to balance this out, I will take a look.
I wish these came in the same deep sea blue colour as the general primus lite. I just want my shoes general rain proof. Here in Aus for summer and spring it can be sunny and then sprinkling rain then bucketing then back to sunny. Im gonna be a bit stuck wearing shoes that cant handle some rain
@@alexreader Ahh fair enough yeah. Do you think the all weather versions are breathable enough? I've heard feet getting sweaty during indoor workouts for example.
Hey Zaar, they are surprisingly good in the hot weather. I've worn these a lot during the summer in the UK. It doesn't get crazy hot here but we did have some spells of pretty hot weather and these were fine!
A very comfortable and properly barefoot shoe and I wear mine most days but the water resistance is not great. About a week after I bought them I went for a walk in moderate rain and ten minutes in I could feel water beginning to seep through the main fabric panel on the top of each shoe. Like you say, still better than your average running trainer but don't bank on them to keep you bone dry.
That's the exactly same experience as I've had with them. Hopefully the can make something a little bit more waterproof for those that really need that. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
@@alexreader Mine arrived yesterday, great for running, but also worth mentioning that the waterproofing does work well on wet grass, making them ideal for urban dog walking.
@@harpocrates302 That's a really good point, since I've had them for a few months now I'm going to do an update but I think like you say they are the best for that sort of thing!
@@alexreader After more experimentation in today`s rainfall, the functionality reminds me of some Keen waterproof sandals I had years ago, meaning purpose built for all weather, as in won`t get squishy or damaged in these conditions.
Thanks for the review! between Primus Lite 3 and Primus Trail 2 FG and these which ones you recommend for a bit of everything? I'd love to have them all but the price! I need a good grip pair for a lot of walking (sometimes on quite slippery surface) and ones I can take to trips. Please lmk. Thx!
Thanks for watching and commenting! Great question, would be nice to have multiple pairs but that definitely adds up price wise ha. I would go for the Primus Trail 2 FG for sure, I've just found them to be more durable and versatile
Great review fella. Just got the trail 2 fg AW.. love them. Probably need to make a larger point about gradually working these into regular day to day wearing. Awesome job overall.
Thanks Michael, that's wicked I love my trail FG shoes. I've actually just sent mine back to revivo, which I'm going to do a video on. I have had them for 2-3 years now and they have been through a lot but still don't look to bad. I still really like them so going to see how the revivo service is, seems like a cool idea. Love the look of the new models though. What colour did you get? Definitely, having been in them I while I've almost forgotten about how it was gradually wearing them. Good point!
@@alexreader I had to get “obsidian” because the other blue color was out. Idc about color as much as functionality. People having them for years and the revivo program is a reason they are absolutely worth the cost out the door. They seem very durable and with that program included it really makes the choice easy. Take care and I’ll be on the look for that revivo video
Yeah I hadn't even thought of that, they do all black versions of a couple other models but not these 🤔 I've just bought the tracker decon lows which look really rugged but not all black
The amount you talk with your hands is awesome

Nice review and update on the new model.
Please keep your audio levels in mind though as the intro was deafening compared to the rest of the audio 🙏

Completey agree I love the other colours ways! They seem like a pretty good fit for that then
Nice video, do you think these are better than the Primus Trail FG’s (for London use)?
For London use, yeah probably! FG is probably overkill, might wear down faster and makes for a slightly thicker sole
@@alexreader Ahh fair enough yeah. Do you think the all weather versions are breathable enough? I've heard feet getting sweaty during indoor workouts for example.
@christophermcculloch3132 mine don't get to hot during workouts inside but guess the temperature isn't that warm here a lot of the time
Thank you for the review. Can you please share your experience about breathability in hot weather?

didnt like rubber-silicone feeling so will stay with xero for now may be you could try them and compare them 😆
I've never tried a pair of the xeros, I'd like to though! They look pretty cool. Good idea, more shoes 🥰

@@MRBarton369 awesome, I've got the obsidian ones to. Think they look awesome but so do the blue ones. Thank you and you!
What color is this?? Obviously black and yellow but what do they call it lol I can’t find them
They are actually more of a subtle lime green colour. Depending on the lighting ha. I can't find them now either think they might be out of stock 😕
I stand all day at a standing desk and I can't do it in barefoot, my heels ache too much. I have to wear Campers or Crocs.
Why isn't there an all black version for all weather shoes? Makes no sense to me.
