I think that Snow on Mt. Silver could have been more unique if it focused more on the idea of being trapped alone on the mountain in a blizzard as you grow slowly weaker rather than the creepy zombie sprites and the supernatural elements. There’s something particularly horrifying about extreme weather to me.
The Re: Lost Silver version of Mt. Silver kinda does what you imagine, by having the Typhlosion gradually losing HP the more you walk to Red, instead of having 6 HP from the start. It also has no zombie sprites and such for Gold himself and his pokemon.
Maybe it's because the themes for a lot of them are time. And a time-traveler is needed to save some time (if Dialga was released earlier, then it would be the star)
I'd like a fangame/rom hack where it's a seemingly normal Pokémon game, but there's just something slightly off that isn't explained. Of course, there's an ending where you confront the entity, but that just makes the game return to normal.

After the Destiny Bond happens, the screen is supposed to flash black and white constantly with a terrible sound. Also that fangame you’ve played in particular doesn’t have many other occurrences that the creepy pasta has. Such as your pokemon in the party dying in game via the cold one by one. Though I gotta say the spritework on the one you’ve played is much more better than the one I’m talking about.
I’d say Re: Lost Silver’s version is considerably better too, though the redesigns of red’s Pokémon are subjective and it barely has any sounds. But it fixes the snow effect to not just be static, and the sprites for gold’s Pokémon look much more realistic just being frost bitten and not overly gorey for the sake of it. This one also could be updated in the future where the sounds are restored.
It's really sad that some of my favorite games, a pokemon horror series called pokemon dusk, dawn, nightfall and nocturne are barely known because they're creepier and harder imo

They all have multiple endings and the creator mr prinz intentionally made them hard. Especially the damned miltank and mightyena fights

His dialogue is an ellipsis followed by: “You too, huh.” “…” “How about a battle to lighten the mood a bit.” The Pokémon aren’t disfigured in the battle, but they’re frozen, and any fire type Pokémon (Typhlosion and Charizard) have their flame put out. It’s a scripted tie just like in the original, and then there’s more dialogue. “Guess that’s it.” “…” “…” “It’ll stop snowing eventually. If we don’t freeze, someone from the Elite 4 will probably come to save us” “…” And then a text box comes up that just says “The End” Open ended ending. It’s depressing, but doesn’t go for anything creepy. You can think they die, or you can think they survive and someone saves them or they hike down themselves. It’s DEFINITELY not good, but it’s clearly better than before, and I based it off the source material.
And then Blake says "well, this is truly an Easter Egg - Snow on Mount Silver" and Gold says "it's Lost Silverin' time" and he lost silvered all over the place

When you showed the Corrupted Pokemon Gold Game, it says Luidikid Creepypasta Challenge, which is from a TH-camr named Luigikid, challenging people to actually make good (problaby also short) Horror Games, so he basically pushes some people forward to make a game that he will later on plays. He also puts certain rules to these games so that it´s a fair competition, and also useable for YT´s guidelines. Just wanted to put this down here :3
Lost Sliver is likely the only best creepy Pokémon, no loud noises or anything, just a psychological horror and stuff. But for some reason, you took a sort of different route because I don’t remember those puzzles and such.

Lost Silver is an amazing dramatic lore-fest with depressing atmosphere and Snow on Mt. Silver is a genuinely outstanding Creepypasta, but only Lost Silver really gets anything close to a platinum trophy when it comes to how good it is. I like the idea of making 'fake' Pokemon games and posting them on youtube with creepy atmosphere.
The original Mount Silver game had pikachu jumpscaring you with loud noises and screen flashing which didn’t sit well with most people, so thankfully in the version you played it didn’t have that as the devs were more considerate
One creepy pokemon game that I think you should play is called Pokemon Nightmare Invasion. It actually a really well made game that not only has a story but quite a few secrets, different endings, and top down combat rather than the usual turn based one. If you ain't gonna play I highly recommend watching a playthrough, it's pretty good.
I will be 100% with you. Pokémon Cursed Forever isn't that bad, in my opinion. Yes, there isn't much, but Pokémon horror fangames are more meant as experiences than full games. I like how cursed forever is a slow burn, keeping you on edge, waiting for somethung to jump out as the maps lay slightly corrupted enough to put you at unease. Then the UHCAKIP debut is simple, yet effective. No edgy name for its death attack, just a brief inverse colars before destruction. The smile is a bit much, yes, but it keeps itself in check by never doing any jumpscares. It curses you, let you amble ariund for a bit before letting you know your fate. Groundbreaking? No. But I admire the effort.

The thing about actually trying to scare people with horror is that different people have different sensitivities. It's much easier to try to tell a story than to scare people; however, when I was a child, I would have probably have been scared by some of these fan games, because the original games were full of glitches, and honestly, I could see how some of them could be a bit scary to a small child--glitches that teleport the characters to rooms they can't escape, undocumented Pokemon that make the Pokedex glitch out, glitches that cause Pokemon cries to freeze into demonic sounding screeches. Man, the old games were a little creepy just because of the limitations of technology.

The Re: Lost Silver version of Snow on Mt Silver is basically the definitive version of the game, it has well designed sprites for the pokemon and the snow effect is actually a snow effect instead of just static. The only real issue is that it has no pokemon cries as of now, but soon enough they will be added in an update. There was never a jumpscare in the original creepypasta so I don't know why it would need to be added, the screeching is all that is needed. There is also a Pokemon Black romhack that exists out there, and interestingly enough, the creator of the Lost Silver fangame attempted to recreate Pokemon Black from scratch by essentially recreating Pokemon Red and Blue, and it was in development for several years before being cancelled when the romhack was created.
I'd actually prefer full length dark fantasy hacks. I had an idea inspired by Dante's inferno where your custom trainer travels through each circle of hell collecting different types of pokemon, but there's a twist. After you beat Lucifer, he transports you to challenge God for the throne.
I once saw a fanmade Pokémon horror game where the entire plot effectively boiled down to "someone got murdered for bejng trans and became a ghost type Pokémon", it had a good overall message about trans rights but the message overpowered the story so much that it just sucked in general. Also iirc the vast majority of the game was spent grinding, so there's that.
Yo Pokémon horror game idea: it’s like a few years later than the story of red and blue. The Pokémon’s are almost extinct except for a few VERY valuable Pokémon, you play through an apocalyptic world where everyone is hostile and shit.

tbh my fav pokemon horror games are a trilogy, pokemon dusk, dawn and nightfall dusk follows ethan with a quilava dawn follows drake (a rival) with a totodile he stole nightfall follows kris (named in game krista) with a chikorita
this is nostalgia bias; and I'm not gonna pretend it's anything but that, but Lost Silver was always my favorite "my game is acting weird" creepypasta. it doesn't rely heavily on shock value or pixel gore to get it's point across, it just throws the player into a weird setting with a grim end. while I'm at it, I didn't even know that rearranging the unown in the party after HURRY dies took you a down a different path. neat!

Ok, I haven’t played any of the games you mentioned, but I can’t see why you think the Snow on MT.Silver easter egg in Re:Lost Silver is better than the original. Like, I think the storytelling might kinda better, but the spritework isn’t as good, it’s kinda silly, even. And it’s basically the same thing, it doesn’t improve anything, only the snow sprite covering the screen. It isn’t bad, but it also isn’t better.
The sprite work for Gold’s Pokémon is certainly better, it’s more realistic for the Pokémon to be frost bitten instead of somehow losing limbs because of a snow storm. Red’s Pokémon are more subjective because it’s a different artist’s take on the characters for how they perceive the story and what happens, but I still think those sprites are generally more well done since they are less exaggerated and look cleaner. Again, it’s subjective to which take you prefer, but those new sprites aren't bad. Also the gore on the original sprites just don’t look good, so not including that for most of the sprites was a good call. There’s not much you can really improve with Snow on Mt. Silver without deviating too much from the source material, but I do think the snow storm it’s self is the biggest improvement since it looks more convincing that Blake would struggle against it, compared to static, it makes a large difference. The area color palette also looks way better, being a darker blue and then going to a light blue when you reach the peak of the mountain with Red.
Escape from lavender town had very few gameplays, Apart from Jacksepticeye nobody else played it, it was one of the first pokepasta games which It looks real until you get to the end
It kind of surprised me that you didn't even mention Pokémon Black. Sure, it has one of the weakest plots of the popular Pokémon Creepypastas... but it's available in ROM Hack format with pretty much every detail being exactly like the story.

Snow on Mt Silver coudl definetly use a lot of visual upgrades and more work to be more faitful to the creepypasta though, evwn id it means spooky pikachu jumpscare at the end with earrrap noises

I tried to get Pokémon black but couldn’t find any official download. I did see that some people actually sold cartridges with the hack which I found cool. I might buy one and make a video just on that game.
The Re: Lost Silver version of Snow on Mt Silver is basically the definitive version of the game, it has well designed sprites for the pokemon and the snow effect is actually a snow effect instead of just static. The only real issue is that it has no pokemon cries as of now, but soon enough they will be added in an update. There was never a jumpscare in the original creepypasta so I don't know why it would need to be added, the screeching is all that is needed.
There is also a Pokemon Black romhack that exists out there, and interestingly enough, the creator of the Lost Silver fangame attempted to recreate Pokemon Black from scratch by essentially recreating Pokemon Red and Blue, and it was in development for several years before being cancelled when the romhack was created.
I don't know if Its a good or a bad thing i only know Lost Silver... But Hey at least there are some good Roms out there (Lifeless and Distorted Red)

I'd actually prefer full length dark fantasy hacks. I had an idea inspired by Dante's inferno where your custom trainer travels through each circle of hell collecting different types of pokemon, but there's a twist. After you beat Lucifer, he transports you to challenge God for the throne.
I once saw a fanmade Pokémon horror game where the entire plot effectively boiled down to "someone got murdered for bejng trans and became a ghost type Pokémon", it had a good overall message about trans rights but the message overpowered the story so much that it just sucked in general. Also iirc the vast majority of the game was spent grinding, so there's that.

While living in the pokemon world truly would be terrifying people trying to replicate it makes it fall flat nothing could ever replicate the feeling of being a lost child lure from there house walking into the woods getting more and more lost while creatures from the dark twist your young mind into trusting them letting your gaurd down never to return home.... I could also imagine the criminal human activities that go on with all the unattended children and the fact the creeps could use the pokemon that can use hypnosis....Man imagine edp with a hypno or other pokemon that could do some serious damage like a drifbloon
tbh my fav pokemon horror games are a trilogy, pokemon dusk, dawn and nightfall
dusk follows ethan with a quilava

One game I've played before was Pokemon Creepy Black, great game on Gameboy and Gameboy advance.
this is nostalgia bias; and I'm not gonna pretend it's anything but that, but Lost Silver was always my favorite "my game is acting weird" creepypasta. it doesn't rely heavily on shock value or pixel gore to get it's point across, it just throws the player into a weird setting with a grim end.
while I'm at it, I didn't even know that rearranging the unown in the party after HURRY dies took you a down a different path. neat!

when your pokemon is faint outside of battle and your unable to go to a pokemon center it will say "________ Is Out Of Usable Pokemon. _______ Blacked Out". THis Happened To Me WIth Pokemon Red.

tbh i can tell that you never actually played the old games based on how you talk about these fanmade games. even not remakes, which is surprising considering how great they are. the unown alphabet was in the original gold/silver/crystal games, and that “woman” you fought was your rival, silver (technically in this case his name should have been gold bc it was in a pokemon silver game but oh well) who is the abandoned and neglected son of giovanni.

Ok, I haven’t played any of the games you mentioned, but I can’t see why you think the Snow on MT.Silver easter egg in Re:Lost Silver is better than the original. Like, I think the storytelling might kinda better, but the spritework isn’t as good, it’s kinda silly, even. And it’s basically the same thing, it doesn’t improve anything, only the snow sprite covering the screen. It isn’t bad, but it also isn’t better.
The sprite work for Gold’s Pokémon is certainly better, it’s more realistic for the Pokémon to be frost bitten instead of somehow losing limbs because of a snow storm. Red’s Pokémon are more subjective because it’s a different artist’s take on the characters for how they perceive the story and what happens, but I still think those sprites are generally more well done since they are less exaggerated and look cleaner. Again, it’s subjective to which take you prefer, but those new sprites aren't bad.
Also the gore on the original sprites just don’t look good, so not including that for most of the sprites was a good call.
There’s not much you can really improve with Snow on Mt. Silver without deviating too much from the source material, but I do think the snow storm it’s self is the biggest improvement since it looks more convincing that Blake would struggle against it, compared to static, it makes a large difference. The area color palette also looks way better, being a darker blue and then going to a light blue when you reach the peak of the mountain with Red.

It kind of surprised me that you didn't even mention Pokémon Black. Sure, it has one of the weakest plots of the popular Pokémon Creepypastas... but it's available in ROM Hack format with pretty much every detail being exactly like the story.
