Porygon _did_ do nothing wrong though! It was Pikachu's Thunderbolt hitting missiles that caused the strobe-effect! Porygon was just an innocent bystander!

Hey, that was Darkrai _Manslaughter._
Darkrai's nightmare powers are an involuntary defence mechanism that it can't turn off. That's why it usually sequesters itself on Newmoon Island, right next to Fullmoon Island where the only Pokemon that can ward it off, Cresselia, rests.
Basically Darkrai needs a hug, but try not to fall asleep around it.
Darkrai tends to be chilling in my box, so I have less worries
@@sirspookybones1118 Honestly, I think catching Darkrai is probably fine. Cyrus tells us that Legendaries contained in Poke Balls are less powerful than they are outside of them (hence why a kid catching Dialga isn't an apocalypse scenario), so it's likely that being caught nerfs Bad Dreams from its previous "Inescapable, always-fatal nightmare" power to "Minor chip damage at the end of a turn and also you can wake up normally."

Also in the hypno topic, in Sun and moon there's a school in which if you interact with the teacher, you'll discover that it was a hypno. That must also be why all the students are always at school, hypno drags them there forever. Wonder if all the schools are like this

The one at the end about BK and the Pokeballs killing people is actually the reason almost every plastic toy that could fit around a child's mouth and noes is now manufactured with 3~4 little holes at the base of the item. It's so if a child does something dumb like this again it can't form a seal due to the extra air flow or if it does somehow get stuck they can still breathe while it's being removed.
It's also one of the earlier instances of modern conflict involving bad parenting that didn't involve TV or Video Games and is why a lot of TV channels ended up having commercials telling parents to pay attention to their kids or some such.

I rly was hoping someone was mentioning bad parenting here. its almost like leaving your child alone with a plastic bag.
I still have my Pokémon toys from BK, sad knowing those were the best and ahead of their time. Now don’t me wrong I like the cards, I have a few of the gold ones, but the figures were a true bliss.
It's crazy imo that parents called out BK and Pokemon for this pokeball shaped toy being dangerous. It is very unfortunate that a kid died because of them, but the toys design wasn't the cause of death, it was the wrong use of the toy. A child can always swallow a toy or put something over their face, it's up to parents to keep an eye on young children.
@@sleepymonsteraddict I remember when that was a big thing. I thought it was so dumb. The two good things that came out of it though were 1. People started to realize parents are stupid and probably don't pay attention to their kids and 2. Toys were then given airholes for in case a kid was dumb enough to do this again.
Here's how to get back at Mindy for the Haunter thing.
Take the trade, but before that, teach Medicham Strength, Rock Smash, Detect, and Protect.
This gives Mindy a Medicham with two dead slots and she'll have to waste time changing Detect and Protect to other moves.

Even better. Make it super petty by leveling it to at LEAST 53 so it's passed all it's level up moves. That way, she'll have to go buy TMs if she wants to teach it something else. lol
and give it the worst Nature, EV and IV possible

What are the true original versions of all the Fossils? With one exception they're all dual types with the implication being fossilized is why they're now part rock. But presumably they were different at one time...

@@Porder only issue is the audio mixing, the music and sound effects sound a tiny bit louder than your voice which makes it a bit hard to hear what you're saying

The sad thing about the Porygon anime ban was that the Pokémon itself truly did do nothing wrong, as Pikachu was the one that caused the explosion.
But, of course, you can't ban darling Pikachu from the anime, so Porygon got the blame.
I definitely agree on that front but I also think the Pokémon company shouldn’t be the one to even discuss seeing as their the ones who caused it 💀

About the ghost girl bit at 16:29, funny enough, she makes another appearance, although this time, it's in the mobile spin-off game Pokemon Masters EX, and it's revealed that her (or if there are multiple ghost girls like her, "this specific ghost girl's") name is Helena. And she's not really depicted as that creepy as she was in the mainline games, just obsesses over creepy stuff.
Such a weird direction to take that character, i really thought the ghost girl would come full circle and be a big bad in a later game or something. Cool she appeared again but almost dissapointing
It's not the same girl, in Pokemon XY if you talk to those girls after battling them you pretty much get the idea that "Hex maniac" is a subculture, like goths.
They dress similar, have similar hobbies but it's not always the same people.
Plus, the one in Ex isn't a ghost.
About the last one, while I understand the pain of the parents who left their child with harmless toy only to discover guresome accident, it was pretty much a small plastic bowl. I don't want to blame parents in case of tragedy nobody foresaw, I would also not call the toy unsafe because of that.
I tried eating one and choked on it. Not very safe if you ask me 🤷♂️

The Hypno theory is really funny to me because Drowzee is an actual criminal in mystery dungeon and kidnaps a child...

I think the Ditto-Mew clone theory is very likely, as in the Pokémon manga, Blaine put some of his DNA into the cloning device in order to make Mewtwo. After doing this, he gained a connection to Mewtwo, causing a *strange ooze* (supposedly a Ditto-like lifeform) to come out of his hand whenever he was too far away from Mewtwo.

Also not sure if someone else brought it up but the *Porygon did nothing wrong " tweet is a bit of a nod to the section of the community that doesn't blame Porygon at all for the incident and finds it unfair but instead blames Pikachu for being the one to launch the bolt of lightning that started it.
I agree that porygon is innocent but it just seems weird that the company that caused the controversy gets to decide who’s innocent. Probably should have just left that one to the fans to decide
my first ever shiny was a shiny Gastly I encountered in Pearl. imagine by shock and horror when I discovered what shiny Gengar looked like.
so I just kept her a Haunter forever because shiny Haunter is infinitely cooler, until I caught a new one in Sword that is named Noodle.

You should have mentioned Pokehell. In glitch city, if you do a certain input command, you can enter “Pokehell”. Basically, Red will start falling infinitely while text boxes and whatnot pass you. It’s really creepy

The Kabutops and Genesect theory can make more sense now with Scarlet and Violet as they introduced Paradox pokemon (which is somewhat like Genescet pokedex entree)
Plus as early as Gen2 rock type onyx evolves into steel type steelix

Thank you, for being one of the few ppl that I started watching that actually cares about their viewers, that doesn’t show the full effects of that episode that caused seizures, I’m seizure prone and when I watched it earlier this year, it flashed so violently that my phone had to be tipped on it face and I was still seeing the lights go off like crazy, and I really thank you for that bc some ppl show the whole thing and don’t slow it down, not realizing that if there is someone who can have a seizure, I wasn’t warned when they showed that video, so I really appreciate that you slowed it down so I could actually see it, bc this isn’t the first time I’ve heard of that episode and I couldn’t even watch it on TH-cam when someone posted it, they didn’t even put a seizure warning in the vid either, but was talking about the lights and showing the full effects of the episode but not even slowed down like you did so thank you.
I love the Ash’s coma theory nowadays knowing, spoiler alert, that he’s finally a champion and not the main character anymore moving forward. And the Pokémon world has acknowledged him as a champion.

I always assumed Genesect was just Kabutops after Team Plasma turned it into some kind of extreme cyborg, and that its name played off or "insect" and "genocide", with it I guess thoughtlessly slaughtering humans or something
Regardless of whether or not the theory is true I think I’ll always see it that way as well lol
I thought it was a portmanteau of Genesis+insect like "in the beginning" there was this big bug. And kabuto is clearly inspired from a horseshoe crab.
I lived right in the heart of Boston in summer ‘16…. It was an experience I’ll never forget. A cultural moment that I’m sure my kids will ask about. I worked right on Boston Harbor next to the aquarium and had a poke stop and I just sat there all day catching water types and just battling. It was a blast. What a time.
Pokémon go was a wild time for me. I live close to nyc so some days on weekends I’d go to the city for better Pokémon and more pokestops. One guy would scream charizard and u would see literal hundreds or even thousands of people from ages 8 to 25 running through Central Park trying to find it. Miss those times tbh
I always feel like I took those times for granted. So much fun back then

Content creators have a funny lil thing they do in many videos; they misspell, mispronounce, or mix up things on purpose as to bring more comments and thus more traffic to their videos. I see it everywhere nowadays. in all honestly i think its genius, considering how many keyboard warriors there are today, and grammar police and people who just want to correct others who would otherwise never comment in the first place.
I like to joke that Dialga was the favorite child because he’s the closest that looks like Arceus. The fact I haven’t heard people talk about it since I was a teen is baffling

Genesect isn't an evolved Kabutops. Genesect is an _upgraded_ Kabutops. Team Plasma resurrected a Kabuto from its fossil, evolved it into a Kabutops, and then grafted steel armor and weaponry onto it.

As someone who has been a fan of Pokémon since Red and Blue came out (I was 7 years old then) I hated the 2016 Pokémon Go craze.. so many of the people who would have made fun of me for playing Pokémon, were now all into it. I’m so glad that it was just a passing fad, as far as being THAT popular.
Pokémon Go has come a long way, and is so much better than it was back then. If your anything like me, and stopped playing it back then, or just haven’t tried it in a while, it’s definitely worth checking it out again 👍🏽

Hex Maniac was a halloween event character in Pokemon Masters EX. Here's what you need to know:
1. Her name isn't hex maniac. It's actually "Helena", but hex maniac is her nickname.
2. She is a fan of Conspiracy theories and all sorts of spooky crap.

the editing in this is amazing, but a bit of friendly constructive criticism, sometimes your speaking audio gets completely drowned out by the sheer volume of the sound effects so please find a way to equalize that. other than that though im only like 5 mins into the vid and im really impressed by the amount of effort put into this. looking forward to seeing your sub count grow :)

@Porder there is one theory I noticed when researching Pokémon creepy pasta when I was five. When beating the original Pokémon games and returning to lavender town, going to the top level you are met with a trainer when you click on the gravesite a trainer who has level 80 Pokémon is said to take away the player into a ground if the battle is lost. This creeped me out but got me to do some more research. The trainers name is also buried alive… so plenty of smaller theories proposed off of that. With a creepy png based of off it

That is 100% valid, in my videos after this I definitely made volume mixing a priority. Idk what went so horribly wrong with this export I wish I had caught it sooner 🤦♂️

it's confirmed in pokemon lore that Arceus created mew as the original pokemon, and all other pokemon are evolutions of it, hence it's similarity to the lake trio. ditto is likely a faiked clone of mew which shares its inherit evolutionary ability, and mewtwo was a successful cloning.
