I’m 26 weeks pregnant tomorrow and my daughter will be 2 this May. I’m so happy to go through being pregnant the same time again! I love how open and real you can get in your videos. You are doing great mama!
The constant interruptions and chaotic days can make it so hard to stick to a workout routine! Congrats on moving your body in whatever way feels good at the moment
Hahaha! The hitting it hard before the 1st trimester catches up with you - that is me right now. 😂 Every morning when I get up I’m like “I’ve gotta go, because eventually I will be unable to.” I joined the Y, because they have childcare, and I love it! He gets a break from me, I get a break from him and get to work out. Plus he gets socialization, which I felt like he really needed it. Also the clip of Esme going in for a cuddle while you’re on the floor is just so so cute omg! 🥹
Thank you so much for showing the actual app! Knowing it has week to week during pregnancy as well as week challenges like the abs one is amazing for me! This is absolutely an app I will use as I prepare for my 3rd pregnancy! Thank you Shayla!
Careful: Having diastasis recti DURING pregnancy is a normal (=physiological) change your body actually needs to go thru in order to accommodate your growing uterus. Having it long after the postpartum phase is not normal. Love from a happy subscriber, fellow pregnant momma and ob/gyn 😘
No extra money to buy the membership but this did motivate me to start working out again at 24 weeks pregnant. Did great until about 8 weeks pregnant, first trimester demolished me and I have not worked out since embarrassingly. 😬 But here's to preparing for labor!!
Thank you for sharing! My wife & I did IVF during the start of COVID. I didn’t feel safe going to gyms even when they reopened sporadically… I focused heavily on stretching & doing A LOT of yard work. Lots of crouching down in the garden, cutting bushes, trees, etc… Our landlord should have paid us rent. lol! The place looked GREAT! Next baby, I want to do a combo of gym & home workouts.
Thank you for sharing, love hearing about programs and products that have helped in your journey! I've watched your channel while planning for my first child, and now I'm pregnant I feel so equipped with great options and tools. Love how positive and real you keep everything!
Thank you so much. I have been looking for something that isn't an hour long but integrates the pelvic floor and weights. Trying for my 2nd and want to get in shape
This video is perfect timing for me, thank you! I have been wanting to feel better and get stronger, and we are also considering a second pregnancy in the next couple months. :)
Good for the swole is another great resource! It's a subscription app but I love the follow along videos because I don't want to think and plan out my workouts, and I need to workout in my living room in a short period of time because kids :) I haven't tried the expecting and empowered program, but it sounds similar! Women's health is so important, love this!
Just here to say I laaahhhhhve you and the content. I'm in my third trimester and going to start E&E, I've been doing yoga pretty consistently but am looking for more with alllllllll this third timester pressure LOL.
I LOVE this app! I’ve been using it since my 2nd trimester so I could get 6 months of pregnancy workouts and 6 months of postpartum! I’m about to start week 40 workouts tomorrow! 🎉
33 weeks pregnant with baby #3 (2&3 year old) and I do not workout 😅 I was in such good shape before I got pregnant and once I hit 8 weeks (found out at 3 1/2 weeks) I couldn’t do it anymore 😂 I feel like I’m too far gone now to try to start.
Got the app. Can’t wait to get started! In the last week of my 1st trimester. Looking forward to getting some energy back. Random question ans maybe you can do a video or podcast on this but…what does your diet look like? Any tips or recipes to share? Are you super crunchy with diet too? I’m super picky and diet is a pain for me.
Mostly just focus on eating Whole Foods. But the first 40 days is WORTH BUYING for the meals in the back. I felt sooooo good and nourished postpartum with my second! Heyshayla.com/books
Sooo great! I just signed up for the whole year. 2nd pregnancy at my 20th week. Hope this recovery goes smoother haha! The only thing is that it seems super weird that the app is not adapted for ipad :/ wild… also, thanks for the discount code ❤
Thanks for the video! I’m currently 8 weeks pregnant with a 2 year old and a 11 month old. Every time I get in great shape my husband gets me pregnant😂. Totally frustrating 😅 anyways… going through the major nausea right now and had to halt my workouts. It’s good to know I am not the only one that stopped working out first trimester. I’ve been beating myself up for it, but with 2 kiddos and being so sick, it’s hard man! Regardless, this video was motivating. I’m determined to get back on my workout routine once I feel better!!! 💪
You 4-9 months ago=me right now. Definitely feeling how you were in the two videos on whether to have a third or not… SO, video request if possible: “how you decided to go for #3” I’ve been back and forth for 6-12 months, canNOT seem to make a decision either way. Right now feeling the most peace about pausing, but I see you’re pregnant and I’m so happy for you! Curious though, in the video 9 months ago you mentioned all the reasons you were happy to pause/stop at 2. How are you feeling now about those factors? Lifestyle/parenting choices/finances/sibling relationships/2-3 bedroom house/etc. Thank you for all your content, loving it recently! ❤
Thanks! I love the channel and your usual content, but I found this thorough review very useful too! I have a 15-month-old and did exercise during pregnancy and felt great then and after. Recovery was in general great, and I thought about watching this video just in case I needed resources if I ever get pregnant again. However, I noticed that you showed the specific sessions for postpartum on core and recovery after C-section (which unfortunately was my case despite ALL the efforts to avoid it... =( ). It's already been 15 months, and I still feel pain in my lower abdomen. I don't know how much of it is normal, or how much is psychological (having to have a C-section was very traumatic for me and I'm still recovering psychologically), but I wonder if they would have something that could help... It's very specific (core, post-C-section, not immediately after delivery), so I haven't found any resources to help me with that yet...
Slightly unrelated: have you looked into the Oura ring to track your sleep and fitness? I quit using my Apple Watch to minimize EMFs, and apparently this is much less and has the option to turn EMFs off completely
Question if you would have any insight: I’m 16 months postpartum. Only having worked out for the last like 5 of those. Would I need to do the postpartum plan with them first to make sure my core is good for another pregnancy or would I jump into their elevated program since I’m already doing weight lifting.

No way!!!!! I have! Not similar thoughts plus I think theyre ugly lol
I would like a video about how to handle a toddler and an infant at the same time! Help.
Do you have access to all the workouts with the subscription?
Yep!
Do you think these workouts would still be beneficial even a year or more postpartum or are they geared more at the end mediate recovery period?
I think they totally would! I’d start with the postpartum for the pelvic floor work

You’d start with the postpartum. It goes for 35 weeks then elevated and empowered
WAIT A MINUTE... Are you telling me that prior to you being sick this pregnancy, you DIDN'T pee whenever you coughed or sneezed?!??!?
