Exactly, the conflation is by bigots not by Gaga herself. And that conflation was wayyyy more mainstream back then - though still exists to an extent today
Yep! 13 years ago the average viewer of this interview would not have know the difference between trans, intersex, or drag queen. For context, at the time of this interview Cooper was still in the closet, "Don't ask, don't tell" was just ending, and marriage equality was still _four years_ away for the US. Your average cishet American was woefully ignorant on all queer issues generally and anything gender related particularly.
"It's only an insult if you let it be" reminds me of a favorite lyric of mine from a Suprtramp song off of Breakfast in America. The line goes: " 'Cause you're the joke of the neighborhood; why should you care if you're feeling good?" A very powerful sentiment. ❤

@@some1_body ehh tbh I think a person of the LGBQ+ community voicing their support for the trans community is enough to make them unlikely to be transphobic. Transphobic members of the LGBQ+ are typically very proud and outspoken about their transphobia because they like being different and being seen as "one of the good ones". (PS: I only omitted the T in LGBTQ+ there because obviously trans people are gonna support the trans community so it didn't make sense to include the T in that context lol)
The rumor was a mix of all three (man, trans, and intersex) There were a lot of people who genuinely thought she was a cis gay man in drag. And she's not just an ally, she's queer herself! She's been out as bi since the beginning of her career. Also!!! There was an interview she did years ago with Porter Magazine where she talked about some issues with gender expression (she didn't call it that, but still the same thing) that felt kind of nonbinary imo.
She’s part of the queer community and an ally to the trans community. I’m bi myself but cisgender, just like Gaga. I’m not an ally to queer folks since I am one but as a cis*person I can be an ally to trans*folks
I think every good member of the LGBTQ community should be a good ally, too- whatever that looks like in their case. It genuinely upsets me when some members of the community won’t be in the corner of other letters, like cis gays who are biphobic or enby/transphobic. Maybe I’m biased because I’m bisexual so I’ve seen this firsthand, but I have a hard time trusting LGBTQ people who are bad allies.
oh there were people saying she was a man. i remember watching german and polish news and people straight up said she is a man and showed the clip where you could see "the evidence".
Just interesting factoid, the term comes from greek mythology, the son of Aphrodite and Hermes. They were very sexualised tho in depictions and there's a good and creepy ver of the myth...
However, I did learn this term in connection with human intersex individuals at university. So I am really curious how it turned out to be a slur? Its like someone calling another human homo sapien, no?
To be fair the tabloids specifically called her "a man" as it was a time of rampant transphobia in public media. So for her to say "they thought i was a man" is to me her just referencing what they said to her. But i get ur point.
I wish she asked him “Do you?” Like make him say it, because he’s acting so weird about it. Make him say, “Yes, I have a penis!!!” That would have been the best clip to play on repeat anytime people focus on their genitals like it’s sooo important lol
"It's only offensive if you make it offensive" - yeah. I'm a cis-male, but I have long hair and a "pretty" face, so people (usually with no ill-intention) have asked me if I'm a trans-woman and when I tell them I'm not they tend to be super-apologetic which I always find weird 'cause like...I'm not offended in the slightest, I just corrected you because I'm not trans and if I didn't, you'd keep she/her'ing me, which aren't my pronouns.
I mean I get it, as a trans person it definitely hurts to be misgendered even though I know there’s nothing wrong with being the other gender. I know I have a history to make me feel stronger negative emotions around being misgendered, but I wouldn’t fault someone cisgender for getting upset either. I understand you’re talking about them mistaking you for being trans, not just for being a woman. But I feel like that kind of thinking more applies when they’re assuming a cis woman is a trans woman, or a cis man is a trans man. Then if they get offended, I can see why that would be strange, because they’re being gendered correctly, just assumed as transgender. But of course I’m not saying you should feel offended, but I personally wouldn’t be on guard if a guy got kind of upset at being assumed to be a woman.
yea. but they meant it in a “are you trans” way. because back then “are you a man” was referring to their biological gender and they didn’t really care what you identified as.
Along with all the tranvestigation BS it needs to go away humanity needs to grow up and stop being hateful, rude and ignorant to humans who are different from the most common variety of humans in some way.
I believe the term is intersexist/intersexism! those of us who are not intersex are perisex. I learned this from Nova Starchild on tumblr who is an intersex woman. the more you know!
Two things: - Lady Gaga is a trans ally, but she is also Bi and is a part of the LGBTQ+. - People did accuse her of being a man. Just because the interviewer didn't say it, doesn't mean that wasn't the case. I distinctly remember hearing those rumors of her being a man when I was a junior in high school. My grandpa and uncles even said she was secretly a man because they didn't think she was pretty. You can't just dismiss that based on one interview. Love your content, but please remember that your info should be more accurate.
Relieved this is a positive clip. I had the privilege to work on her show during her Chromatica tour, she's an amazing talent, also spoke to the audience about the importance of believing in yourself. Class act, Ive done setup and tear down for 100s of shows, and hers by far was the best one yet.
3:20 Intersex person here: I have never considered 'hermaphrodite' to be a slur because nobody has ever used this word towards me or anybody I know with an intersex condition at all. I have only read this term in historical sources from the Renaissance and Antiquity era, and since the term is derived from the Greek deity Hermaphroditus, to me the word sounds rather like a non-offensive but archaic, slang descriptor in contrast to problematic terms like 'shemale' and 'abomination' (which both were used towards me before). It definitely depends and someone can experience 'hermaphrodite' as a slur if it is used to insult them. In my case, people rarely even know this term and they would instead use other words if they try to be nasty about it. People have also called me 'it' and 'alien' before with the intent to be hurtful but plot twist: I actually use these words for myself so that's just a confirmation to me specifically. Others may find it offensive which is why they shouldn't be used for intersex people unless permitted/wanted.
Also to the "alien" also want to say after all we plausibly learnt about galactic history, we also said to be reincarnated here also from such and how can we be "foreigners in our own omniverse"?
I don't know if it's also used in that context in english but hermaphrodite is used (at least in Portuguese) as a term for species that have both reproductive sistems like worms and it is the norm over those species. As being intersex is about mutation, hormonal divergence etc in human species, and in a lot of cases also comes infertility so ya two totally different things. In my language it can totally be used to ofend, like calling someone an animal, and also that being different things generally should have different names. But it may depends on the language, region and what experiences a person had with that word.
Someone already said here but that word is used as a slur in other countries, for example Portugal and maybe Brazil. It's still used a lot more commonly than 'intersex.'
poker face was a song of hers that was basically about her being bisexual, yes. she said that it was about her doing the deed with a man while thinking of women
Lol I’m glad the comments confirmed my memory, that they WERE calling her a man back then. I hear an attempt to be specific in the video, but people were not specific back then. They were calling her all kinds of things
Gaga absolutely ate and we love her for it. Oh hey Samantha I watched an old stand-up set by Carla Blackstone. I think you might enjoy as a trans person. (I'm trans too) I think it's her usual opening poking fun a transphobes in a dry sarcastic way it had me rolling 😂. But I do have dark humor.
I looked her up (it's Clara, so I was getting weird hits) and she was pretty funny. That's the first time I've heard positive humor around being trans (among other things).
She handled it surprisingly better than I expected tbh where she pointed out how much of a non-issue it is to her. Gaga is definitely a celeb who believes what she advocates for. She was always there for body freedom.
Ive always taken solace in the few famous people ive known would accept who i am as a person (cause of the lack of irl folk who do, you get me) and as a lil 13yr old secret-boy, Lady Gaga was the first time i felt that feeling of "oh this person who will never know i exist would have love for me if they did"

Honestly love her. It’s so rare for celebrities to have the trans community’s back, and she’s been sticking up for us forever! One of my favorite Bi-cons
I remember this, and I knew at the time she was protecting her trans or questioning fans. I loved her for it, it was this interview, during her meat dress era, that I grew so much respect for her. I realized she wasn’t just an over the top attention seeking person, she had a purpose for what she was doing.

I have so much love in my heart for Gaga. There is something to be said about the character of people who have never had (or, seldom have) to address their past behavior because they did not have bad behavior in the past. She *has been* an ally, she *has been* respecting the wonderful diversity of humans in terms of gender, sexual orientation, and expressions of these two. Its good when a celeb or influencer can give a good apology for their past oppression of people, but its next level when you were never an oppressive piece of shit to begin with. Its not something a lot of allies can claim, but it should still be the moral standard.
I'm an AFAB non binary person and I've had people ask if I'm a trans woman before (with differing levels of political correctness lol) I just say, unfortunately I'm not but my girlfriend is!
People sometimes think I am a trans woman too! Or they just can't figure out "which way I'm going" lol. I am nonbinary, but this experience has also just kind of made me realize that I think my fucky gender is just "trans." I am transgender. Being percieved as either a trans man or a trans woman isn't the most comfy, but being seen as a cis woman is wildly upsetting 😅
Sometimes people also kinda aggressively misgender me when I feel like it is pretty obvious I am trying to not present as a woman, and I thought that was really odd in a city this progressive when these people are also very kind to me. It's literally just my name or pronouns. So I wonder if they think I am a trans woman and think they are helping lol.
I remember when I was a wee kid and I was on holiday in Wales when I heard about this rumour, that Lady Gaga could be a man. I remember my thoughts.... "oh... cool" this was before I heard of "transsexual"/"transgender" terms, or even the concept. I heard people around me being weird about it but I didn't pick it up in my own thinking
Gays and lesbians have been abandoning the community for a while now lmao. Obviously there are plenty who don't, but there are one too many lesbians and gays who are only interested in homosexual (sometimes even excluding bi and other m-spec identities) liberation and to hell with the rest of us💀
As a cis woman who has presented most of my life as androgynous and having a unisex name, I would get asked if I was or mistaken for being a boy pretty often when I was a kid and I never took offense to it and in hindsight I think it had a lot to do with Gaga. I was a huge fan of hers when she first blew up and I remember that original interview very well. I thought and still think it was so cool of her to just be like yeah so what? She’s always been such an inspiration to me and I’ve always thought that if I were to become famous one day, I would want to emulate her and Bowie
I had a very mild puberty, so like, I passed for a woman with just shoulder length hair. Had no beard shadow. So little body hair, girls in gym asked if I shaved my legs. I'd male fail constantly. This made using the bathroom an absolute ordeal, and extremely dangerous. My voice and my obvious men's clothes didn't clock me. I really should've transitioned sooner, but there was a lot more gatekeeping in the early to mid 2000's. I didn't come out til 2019. I got called the H word a LOT in high school, because I masculinized so little. I can basically guarantee I'm intersex, but I doubt I'll ever know. Like, my T was at 550 before I started HRT, and you'd never know. I'm built just like the cis women in my family. Like, I wear a size 10 shoe like my aunt. My mom almost wears the same size (a 9 and 1/2). I wear the same pants size as my mom. Women's clothes fit me better than men's ever did.
She isn’t just an ally. It’s important we also highlight the fact she IS a part of the LGBTQ+ community, as a bi woman. She’s been very open about her sexuality from the beginning.
Wait until you learn that intersex women are denied that womanhood commonly too. So it doesn't matter if they think you're transgender or intersex, they're still going to misgender you.
You mentioning “her meat dress era” is a whole other thing of people misunderstanding and not taking her seriously. She explained a bit more with this statement: “it has many interpretations. For me this evening, if we don't stand up for what we believe in and if we don't fight for our rights pretty soon, we're going to have as much rights as the meat on our own bones. And, I am not a piece of meat.” She also used the meat dress to highlight her distaste for the US military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy, which is the policy that barred LGBT people from entering the military. The policy was abolished a year after Gaga brought it to attention
The term "hermaphrodite" refers to an organism possessing both male and female reproductive organs, whereas "intersex" is specific to humans. Although both terms denote the same biological condition, "intersex" is exclusively used for humans, making "hermaphrodite" the appropriate term for non-human organisms with both reproductive systems. For example, characters like Ymir, Loki, or any non-human entity can accurately be described as hermaphroditic but not intersex, as they aren't human. The association of "hermaphrodite" with derogatory use stems from the perception that it dehumanizes people with this medical condition. While "hermaphrodite" is a broad biological term suitable for any organism, "intersex" is specifically used for humans and is the preferred term in medical contexts involving humans unless diagnosing non-humans with this condition.
I've always had a lot of respect for her as a person. She was in our corner since day 1 when it was more dangerous to be openly pro LGBT and I will never forget that
I love that she was snacking during that interview and was so unbothered 😂😂😂. That is just peak Ally energy. Unbothered. Not caring what others think and just living as is! I love it.
Curious what your issue with the meat dress was. She was making a really big statement about multiple things, including being treated like a piece of meat, the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" culture, and other issues. She didn't just do it to be edgy or because she thought it was just cutting edge fashion or something - It was a metaphor and had a purpose.

When you said she was THE pop star ally it made me think of how Chappell Roan is similar and now I need Chappell Roan and Lady Gaga I don’t care if they write a song or anything but I feel like those two people in a room together could change the world lol
Look as a trans man that was at the time of the meat dress era just a very very very very masc "woman" i can tell you for a fact when people called you a hermaphodite they were calling you trans/a man as that was the language that was used back then. People called me a hermohodite all through school and it was because they thought i was a man. So i think your trying to draw a distinction when to the people saying that kind of thing there just isnt one, they are just calling you a gender freak in the language rhey know...i imagine that now a days the insult would be different and i imagine you would be called non binay in a derogatory way, as language evolves so do the insults we get.
3:21 The term 'hermaphrodite' is still used in some areas of the scientific community, particularly by biologists when describing certain reproductive characteristics in plants and animals. Heard the term come up several times in college biology lectures and even in my textbooks. However, context is important, as this term has also been misused as a slur in other settings.
Most people try to pretend that stuff they said and did in the past didn't happen. Props to anyone who actually brings it up in order to correct themselves. Well done Gaga. And what was said and any response she ever had to it was always so well worded and pro-inclusivity in the first place that she didn't even need to clarify.

You worded this so well
"It's only an insult if you let it be" reminds me of a favorite lyric of mine from a Suprtramp song off of Breakfast in America. The line goes: " 'Cause you're the joke of the neighborhood; why should you care if you're feeling good?" A very powerful sentiment. ❤
Take the Long Way Home... great song (and album), and I admit that I never looked at it from this perspective, though it's fitting.
@@fretless05 I cycle 14+ miles a day to commute for work and use an mp3 player (so as to not waste my phone's battery with a task I can delegate elsewhere lol) and I had this album in my CD collection, and when I put it on mp3 player I never expected this, but I think I listen to it more frequently than literally any other album. Every song on that album is an absolute masterpiece, and I can't ever think of listening to one without thinking of listening to the entire album now. It's so, so good as a holistic piece. Definitely recommend revisiting it if you haven't recently.
@@zenleeparadise Sadly, I listened to that album a while ago, on vinyl, and when I lived with my parents. The record player was my brother's and he took all the albums when he moved out. I should definitely download it!
@@zenleeparadise I also cycle to work everyday and listen to Supertramp to motivate me
@@majortom4711 haha if you lived in Phoenix I'd suggest we go on a date. You sound like a catch!
Gaga isn't just and Ally, she is LGBT, she is Bi.
She’s an ALLY to the trans community and to intersex people, that’s the point being made.
She is a cis ally to trans people ❤
I think the tittle makes it seem as Gaga was transphobic herself, at least thats what I thought before watching! Its really great to see her support
I mean she's bi, and made the born this way song so her being transphobic would be shocking imo
@@aidawaswhereIf she only was bi and said a few trans friendly things, that definitely wouldn't make her unlikely to actually be transphobic. Lots of bi people pose as trans allies. I think it's the abundance of other actions Gaga has done over the years that prove she truly IS a trans ally.
@@some1_bodydisagree, writing born this way made her an ally
@@some1_body ehh tbh I think a person of the LGBQ+ community voicing their support for the trans community is enough to make them unlikely to be transphobic. Transphobic members of the LGBQ+ are typically very proud and outspoken about their transphobia because they like being different and being seen as "one of the good ones".
(PS: I only omitted the T in LGBTQ+ there because obviously trans people are gonna support the trans community so it didn't make sense to include the T in that context lol)
I thought the same thing! But I also knew Gaga’s answer, so I was really confused!
The way she handled those rumors is so mindful and in the way someone who truly cares can only think of.
And honestly a lot of the hate she gets from stans is often being called trans or a man.
@@AyceMcGee wasn't poker face a reference to her thinking of a woman while being with a man?
@@AyceMcGee knowing that makes it even better!
oh there were people saying she was a man. i remember watching german and polish news and people straight up said she is a man and showed the clip where you could see "the evidence".
Samantha is just steering the topic to favor her "message"
3:11 That term is still used in biology, for example for snails and a whole load of flowering plants. It's a slur if used on humans.
As it has never been observed in humans (pseudo-hermaphroditism has) it would be inaccurate, but not a slur.
@@solidagold115 maybe using the word "slur" was a bit inaccurate, but the idea was that it is generally rude to use that for people
@@solidagold115its not a slur though....
All the ones who say they "don't care", but just care to much about random peoples private parts, or what clothes they like.
They were saying she was a man. Just to be fair
yea. but they meant it in a “are you trans” way. because back then “are you a man” was referring to their biological gender and they didn’t really care what you identified as.
I knew I always loved her for a REASON. She's the best!!!!
Thanks for pointing out it was also Interphobic as well as transphobic. We forget how much those two things overlap.
Two things:
- Lady Gaga is a trans ally, but she is also Bi and is a part of the LGBTQ+.
I remember this .. this was HUGE!
Samantha says that Lady Gaga is an ally in this video but hasn't she said before that she's bi?
poker face was a song of hers that was basically about her being bisexual, yes. she said that it was about her doing the deed with a man while thinking of women
Lady Gaga is bi, Samantha may not know or forgot
She’s still an ally to trans people
pretty sure she means a trans ally specifically
@@arih_rih ohhhhh maybe
They were definitely accusing her of being a man. We don't have to assume good faith when people ask questions like what Anderson Cooper asked.
Lol I’m glad the comments confirmed my memory, that they WERE calling her a man back then. I hear an attempt to be specific in the video, but people were not specific back then. They were calling her all kinds of things
I love Lady Gaga so much. I was worried this was about to be negative but being greeted with this energy was a breath of fresh air. ❤
I have been asked similar questions and I was so flattered that people think I genuinely tuck 💜
Actually she was also separately accused of being a man, I remember the articles about it.
Love the positive shift on your channel! Been an avid subscriber and supporter of you for a long time!
We absolutely need more positive content from trans creators. No one wants to be in a bummer zone all the time, it's just not any way to live.
Can we talk about her scenes with "Liz Taylor" in AMS Hotel? That whole scene where Liz comes out over the song Betty Davis Eyes is fucking amazing!
She handled it surprisingly better than I expected tbh where she pointed out how much of a non-issue it is to her. Gaga is definitely a celeb who believes what she advocates for. She was always there for body freedom.
Her being more focused on the chocolate than the question was so great
That's a "diamond" in her mouth haha.
She's... awesome.
Ive always taken solace in the few famous people ive known would accept who i am as a person (cause of the lack of irl folk who do, you get me) and as a lil 13yr old secret-boy, Lady Gaga was the first time i felt that feeling of "oh this person who will never know i exist would have love for me if they did"
i will never understand how Anderson Cooper never gets dragged for this or how he has never apologized for it

This isn’t the last time he’s been wildly transphobic either. You can find other instances, including supporting Dave fucking Chapelle. As if his asinine reporting where he covers up US war crimes isn’t enough.
Why should he it wasn’t a personal question that’s not how journalism works his staff just wanted to address this rumor what is clearly not true and nobody should care about those privat things.
@@Sheebalba asking celebrities if they are trans and have a penis isn’t journalism, and the fact that you thinking is is saaaaad

3:23 That was 2 years before the boom of Twitter. Outside of medicine, nobody knew the term intersex in 2010. It is like the G word for the Romani, most people don't understand if we don't use it.
She is so wonderful, I love her.
i can't lie i didn't even click on this video for the content i clicked bc i saw the thumbnail and thought 'oh my god that is the most beautiful person that has to be edited'
Love this. We need more media representing us.
Lady Gaga is THE Queen
Gaga has always been THAT GIRL!!😌😌
I've been in a weird spot of wanting to support you as a creator but struggling to watch your content because of the subject matters you react and or respond to just being a bit difficult to stomach, and not necessarily something I need to hear, even with you absolutely serving your delightful personality throughout. I'm often just reluctant to click on your videos because I don't necessarily even want to hear what bile has been attached to trans people today, or something to that effect, which hopefully makes some sense? Nothing against yourself of course, and you should make anything you enjoy making of course 😊 but I confess I am excited to learn that you're looking to shine some light on some positive subjects from our little corner of life. Thank you for everything 💜💜
Yeah that's how i feel abt jessie gender
I have so much love in my heart for Gaga. There is something to be said about the character of people who have never had (or, seldom have) to address their past behavior because they did not have bad behavior in the past. She *has been* an ally, she *has been* respecting the wonderful diversity of humans in terms of gender, sexual orientation, and expressions of these two. Its good when a celeb or influencer can give a good apology for their past oppression of people, but its next level when you were never an oppressive piece of shit to begin with. Its not something a lot of allies can claim, but it should still be the moral standard.
Can’t watch the video cause I’m at work but Gaga has always been based as hell for this. I love her to death.
I'm an AFAB non binary person and I've had people ask if I'm a trans woman before (with differing levels of political correctness lol) I just say, unfortunately I'm not but my girlfriend is!
I have the exact same experience as you, gender and partner and everything, that’s kinda cool
Love you Samantha ❤
Frankly I don't care if Lady Gaga is trans or not, she's still an unbelievably beautiful person, who I personally still find really attractive. 💙
… might wanna try that again 😒
Every time I learn something new about Lady Gaga, I love her a little bit more
girl I need to know what blush you're wearing!!! absolutely love it
I remember when I was a wee kid and I was on holiday in Wales when I heard about this rumour, that Lady Gaga could be a man. I remember my thoughts.... "oh... cool" this was before I heard of "transsexual"/"transgender" terms, or even the concept. I heard people around me being weird about it but I didn't pick it up in my own thinking
I love hearing you talk about positive things! Your energy when you're happy is so contagious and bright. Please do more videos like this.
Love that you are making reaction content that is positive and uplifting, still being real and not artificially saccharine.
Oh no, there were definitely "gaga is a man rumors" at the time.
Me every time you say ally:
“Tell them Valentina!”
“ALLY!”
can't believe anderson cooper, a gay man, would even entertain posing her that question. unbelievable.
That is the corporate gay who abandons the rest
Gaga has always been THAT girl and I love her so much. Her allyship isn't perfomative, she comes from a genuine place.
She isn’t just an ally. It’s important we also highlight the fact she IS a part of the LGBTQ+ community, as a bi woman. She’s been very open about her sexuality from the beginning.
Not true. Here in the aUK she was called a "secret man".
Yeah, but we're in the UK
US people very much said they thought she was a man as well
So ridiculous and sad, society needs to grow up, some never leave the school yard mentality where they thrived.
She was in our corner since day 1 when it was more dangerous to be openly pro LGBT and I will never forget that
When it was more dangerous?
In 2008? How? Being pro LGBT had long been stopped being dangerous to celebraties careers when Gaga debuted
@@De-probationibus-conspiratio it was dangerous for kids like me back then

I love that she was snacking during that interview and was so unbothered 😂😂😂. That is just peak Ally energy. Unbothered. Not caring what others think and just living as is! I love it.
That is a "diamond" for her coffee haha
Curious what your issue with the meat dress was. She was making a really big statement about multiple things, including being treated like a piece of meat, the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" culture, and other issues. She didn't just do it to be edgy or because she thought it was just cutting edge fashion or something - It was a metaphor and had a purpose.
I love that she's just eating when the interviewer asks that. Like dude, back off, the lady just wants to eat XD
Thank you for the note about the “h-word” being a slur. I thought it was outdated but still had its medical connotation.

Speak of the devil, I had watched a different youtuber talk about the exact same interview maybe two hours ago 😅
They really did think she was a man.
She had the most giga chad responses to those questions
She was accused of being a man and a hermaphrodite, the word hermaphrodite was only used in interviews I think as an attempt to be respectful but it was used interchangeably
Samantha just trying to steer the topic to her liking
@De-probationibus-conspiratio no just a small misunderstanding that really doesn't change anything other than a little bit of context
@De-probationibus-conspiratio also your opinion doesn't really make sense because it didn't steer anything, it still had the same obvious conclusion

Reminds me of how Kit Connor was forced to come out as bi when he wasn't ready ... because "fans" were accusing him of queerbaiting in Heartstopper
As an almost 40 year old who remembers this discourse I can assure you "quirky" was not a thing. People were so obsessed with her possible p3nis and she was very much viewed as weird. Tbh I was caught up in the does she or doesn't she until she released the "reveal" in that one music video and I realized it didn't fcking matter.
I love that you're shifting your channel to focus on positive stories. I agree, also know that back in time legit books used the word hermephrodite. Many did, and since they are books they still do.
Today intrasex is the word to use. But be careful not to lose too much respect when books use hermephrodite.

When you said she was THE pop star ally it made me think of how Chappell Roan is similar and now I need Chappell Roan and Lady Gaga I don’t care if they write a song or anything but I feel like those two people in a room together could change the world lol
Gaga more supportive then my mom time after time. I Stan my parasocial mom.
3:21 this sounds like an attack on science.
SO COOL GOOD ON HER X
Most people try to pretend that stuff they said and did in the past didn't happen. Props to anyone who actually brings it up in order to correct themselves. Well done Gaga. And what was said and any response she ever had to it was always so well worded and pro-inclusivity in the first place that she didn't even need to clarify.

Ciara had the same rumors spread about her. I don’t know if Ciara was asked about it as much as Gaga but it’s weird we had 2 women that had the same rumor started about them early in their career, roughly four years apart.
