- The all-new Madone Gen 8 is an earth-shattering fusion of our lightest and fastest road race bikes. Equal parts Madone. Equal parts Émonda. Madone Gen 8 is the best of both worlds.. Whether you’re powering up climbs or sprinting across the finish line, Madone Gen 8 was designed with input from the world’s top racers to be the best wherever you ride it. Insanely aero. Impossibly light. Wildly thrilling.

Not gonna lie, when the new Madone was first seen by the public I wasn't the biggest fan of it, but now I actually think it looks really good! Hopefully it can score some more wins in future races!
To the design team of this bike. Huge shout out. This bike looks amazing! Getting my hands on one one day is an absolute dream!
Madone is just a dream bike.
Madone & ProCaliber are the best looking bikes in the market ❤️🖤
❤
What they're really trying to say is that their sales have cratered trying to sell the consumer two bikes as consumers have moved to brands that incorporate both of these facets into one bike.
What they try to say is "we sell now our own tarmac" 🤣
Is tarmac gpod for both ? @@patrickeigenmann138
Just dropping some models because they are losing money and putting marketing kool aid to people.
Any service bulletin updates about the frozen water bottle bolts with too much thread locker on this new model?
Super
what we need is a madone ALR!
there’s not much you can do with aluminum
Emonda ALR is still here for your alloy needs - but Madone is an OCLV Carbon machine 🚲💨
@@trekbikes Is it possible to make an even lighter aluminium alloy than your 300 series? Perhaps you could do a half alloy half carbon frame?
@@trekbikes so youre still going to make an emonda too?
@@trekbikes maybe make emonda ALR's with tiagra or sora? or maybe develop a lighter alloy and make Emonda like the Allez sprint.
🎉🎉🎉
You now need to make/sell a bottle storage for spares in the aero shape please 😊
i cant find a single photo online of a size small with the new bottles though. Trek us short people want to know how the fitment is
I tried to find a pic but wasn’t successful. I ordered a medium if it doesn’t work out I’m returning the bike I guess.
🚴🤙
New Roscoe 9 color way when?
I was looking for a Colnago, but you just convinced me here. I can’t see why the colnago should be so good, except by having a top rider wining every race
Ride this in your PJs
Hahaha.. It's just like combining Madone's back piece with Emonda's front piece. What technology is that?
*the cutting cost* one while you get milked for its price
Where are these frames made in?
Taiwan?
I believe all trek frames are now from Asia factories
@@user-fk4ym9ky3r some say Taiwan, some Mainland China, some even say Cambodia. If it's made in Taiwan, I don't think Trek needs to be this secretive about it. Taiwan makes some of the worlds top tier bikes.
I think the emonda and madone both needed one more interaction or generation before they became one
Id go for a moots at that price.
Everything is so good BUT how much does it cost :(
6k for a frameset!
Madone Gen 8 starts at $3499.99 USD for the Madone SL 5 Gen 8
3500 with mechanical 105 😂
@@patrickeigenmann138what would be a more fitting group for the price? Or more fitting price for the group?
@@trekbikes make a madone from uranium
I'm sorry, but aside from deep section wheels, there's nothing aero about this Madone. All they're doing is cutting costs and reducing the SKUs they manufacture.
Take a read at our white paper outlining our tests showing the aero capacity of the Madone Gen 8: www.trekbikes.com/us/en_US/madone/
@@trekbikes Where's The independent wind tunnel testing? How did it compare to other bikes in the category and weight class? Also, 7.03 kg Is disappointing. I'm no Specialized fanboy but the SL8 with Dura-Ace in 56cm weighed in at 6.6 kg. I don't understand how this replaces the Emonda.
Trek said that the lighter GEN8 is faster than the GEN7 on a 10% slope, which means the Tarmac should climb the slope faster.
@@M3GRSD lol what do you mean "independent". There has never been independent testing in the bike industry. Too expensive and they will lose sponsor money.
@@TheRimBrakeGuy Tour Magazin lab test?
Awesome a bike no one can afford
cheapest is 3.5k USD
@@knmagor0024-xw8pl not much of a bike though
@@knmagor0024-xw8pl 20 pound paperweight
Why are people complaining about expensive bikes? They’re stupid people paying multiple times of what you pay for a bike and only getting a marginal benefit. Those are the people that keep the company running so you can have your bike for cheap and great.
Visually.. this is a major step backwards.. smh. Was so close to throwing yawll my money. Guess I’ll have to wait for gen9 now.
Madone SL 6 AXS Gen 8 in different color would be instant buy for me. But boring black is not for me and ProjectOne is to expensive.
If Trek Black isn't your speed, I'm sure you'd look good on the Crimson SL 6 😎 But don't take our word for it, check it out in-store
Business update: cash refund notification
I will put the bottles cages on my Emonda SLR and be as fast and aero and still have 14k in my bank account
Less aero than the old Madone and heavier than an Emonda🙌 the new Madonda, most pointless bike of 2024😂
Much marketing speak. They should have just made an updated Edmonda. I don’t believe all the aero nonsense. Specialized has been through this already. The Venge was the fastest bike in the world and now the SL8 is as fast but it is lighter. Just admit it the aero wave was good while it lasted for you but people want sensible bikes that don’t weigh as much as Chevy Silverado.
Isn't it interesting how the speeds and yaw angles brands use to justify changes constantly change?
Increased speed will always favour aero, hence the relatively lower speeds for the white paper and the removal of like for like bottles for the test.
Do you guys think we are stupid?
I hate being lied to. So, out of principle, I won't be buying your bike for this season.
I don't like the new Madone Gen 8.
Trek's claim of even better aerodynamics? I think the reason is that the Gen 7 has problems with crosswinds, gusts and turbulence, I ride it, I know it. They simply had to respond to the demands of the professional riders, otherwise they would have dropped out of the peloton. That's how Gen 8 was created. But everyone is surprised by the price reduction of Gen 7. I paid 6 weeks ago for ordered and late delivered (7 months waiting) SL 6 Gen 7 by 1500 EUR more than it costs now. I feel cheated and robbed. You had to know you were going to launch Gen 8, you had to know it would cost less than when Gen 7 launched, and you had to know Gen 7 was going to come down in price. Yet shamelessly after such a wait they sold me the bike 6 weeks before the sale at full price. In addition, incomplete, with damaged paint, poorly attached derailleur and dry-assembled carbon parts - disgusting.
A huge disgrace to the TREK brand in Europe and the destruction of the value of the purchased bike.
TREK never again.
Another $13,000 bike, no thanks Trek.
You can get one for $3,500. If you’re spending 13k, I’m assuming you make your money on a bike.
Madone SL5 is 3500 usd
@@knmagor0024-xw8pl for a hot garbage aluminum wheelset and mechanical 105. (it weighs almost 9kg!)
$13k isn’t much money.. just do it!!
@@divinemercy7036for some bike that’s gonna crash anyways? Yes it is
I am trying to like it but i cant.Epic fail from Trek.
Most expensive bike in the TdF peloton and 0 wins so far 😂
Very nice bike, but ugly jersey from LIDL!!!!
What an absolute mess of a bike. It looks horrendous, and the no longer aero focus is hillarious considering you try to sell now 220 Bucks Aero Drinkingbottles... 😂😂😂
220? Jesus christ
@@Maxpower88888 109€ per holder+ Bottle. Absolute insane considering it's a bit of plastic
Trek.... comon now, you're taking the piss hahaha.
i don't like the bike it no longer gives the looks of aero bike, why would you want to ride your madone in the mountains when you have the émonda, this bike gives me some specialised vibes
Garbage
What an ugly bike!
