for me the worst are: no stereo sound, not the best mic for video, the gittering/ghosting in videos, Huawei lock many of the aspects of their phones (root, video when using some apps), the 2-4X zooming are bad. finally the GPU is the least impressive among the flagships. the good parts are plenty, maybe I would choose the low light photos which are the most ppl take, the amazing zoom which I think is great but not a must (yes this is a photo phone), the battery/charging/SOC optimization.
Nice review, thanks. Do you have a fix for the camera insisting on a background blur even when I want both a person in the front AND the landscape behind sharp and in focus? Most phone cameras don't overdo the blur and this is a very frequent situation when one travels. I tried f11 and even 16 but the blur remained. I tried to turn AI off but the blur remained. (In phone mode, not portrait mode). I tried to step back but even from 2-3 meters (from the person) the background remained blurred. There must be a solution, this is such a basic need... :(

I know right. Some really weird and obvious colour casts I noticed on day 1. Indoors in particular. Also over sharpening leading to loss of saturation.
3 days ago I dropped the P30 onto the ground from the height of 2 feet and the bottom left corner got a little crack. I tried to switch it on but it didn't. That was my second trial phone. I water damaged my first one about 3 months ago. I'm not gonna get a phone with a SIM card until I'm 16. That's in like... 4-5 years..
It is over-sharp, sharpness is a setting that can changed based on the manufacturers preference. In a DSLR you can change that setting, if you boost it up, it gives you the same look as this. Hence why my statement is correct

it's not "OVER-SHARP" your shirt got plenty of tiny cotton-balls and you should buy a new one.. nice phone by the way
