A quick fact about zebras: They are more closely related to wild donkeys than they are to horses, which can likely explain their… wildly unpredictable nature. There is a reason why we never domesticated them like we did with horses. Also, I actually got good use out of Heavyrain’s first skill to clear one of the Lungmen annihilation stages. I used it as an emergency safe guard to camouflage Firewatch when the healer I paired her up with couldn’t keep up against the damage to heal her.
I mean, it's not just that Zebra's are more aggressive than horses, they're also about twice the size of a undomesticated horse as well. We bred horses to the size of zebras well after we got them used to humans. I imagine if Zebras were also tiny we would have domesticate them. we domesticated boars, several types of dog, and lots of other dangerous and aggressive animals, just none so massive they can instantly kill you because your head is perfectly at kicking height Didnt know about the donkey thing though, that's cool
I remember going to the zoo recently and was looking at the Zebras, and this lady comes up talking about how her daughter wants to raise a Zebra and tame it. Like she was so adamant her daughter would be able to do it.
Woah this is some Heavyrain S1 slander. I generally consider the combination of her S1 + Talent a great tool to deploy ranged units more "aggresively". Normally, defenders have to be deployed last to draw aggro, while snipers and such hang back to avoid hits before the enemy reaches the frontline. Using Heavyrain S1 allows for a more flexible deployment, moving your backline forward, and allowing your snipers to have 1-2 more tiles of range.
wouldn't they still die because the skill triggers after they hit 50% HP? I also would imagine it being annoying for heavyrain to camouflage herself in that situation
I agree, but I don't put too much emphasis on this because anything that can be done with Heavyrain S1 can be done with Nearl or Saria S1. Healing an operator for 600-700hp is usually easier with all the same downsides, and even then the cases where this is useful are slim to none. Also I personally never want to rely on random dodge for survival, but to each their own
So regarding silence in chapter 9, I think silencing it is the intended countermeasure, I wouldn't consider it a mechanic ignore. If you didn't use silence against, say the dublinn defenders or the gargoyles, it typically meant you were just over matching their defense with high attack or using true damage.
Heavyrain is cute, and i like charcters that got it rough in life, so even if i wont use her much i still e2 m3 and buy her skin just cuz she deserves it, (really, she suffers a lot as an operator and character, so sad)
I think the mystery of camouflage and area damage is a case for Magic the Gathering ruling. Somewhere in the script or the developer notes for the attack there either is or isn't a word "targets". Like a skill that goes through camo is described as "damages all operators within an area", and the skill that doesn't "targets all operators within an area". Sure doesn't really help to understand which is which, but just what came to my mind.
I just watched a video of somebody 100% serious claiming Heavyrain's S1 was her most useful skill and S2 was completely pointless glad i'm watching this video to prove i'm not crazy for thinking S2 is better
Ehhh the vivian thing makes me thing of how passenger's lightning works. It targets the highest max hp but it also hits targets around it in a grid. It's not about being clearly defined, it's that the target area just so happened to be chosen by operator rather than tile. It ain't that complicated
I made really good use of her S2 during windswept highland to protect my chalter/eyja to kill the big group of sarkaz casters on the right side of the map
I wish I'd remembered that +maxHP for the chapter 10 artillery. I had very few units with the outright max hp to deal with it reliably who could also handle tanking. Mon5tr had my back at least, and if he didn't, could be redeployed in time... if he's in the right lane... which is the one without Mon5tr because he kills the bloodsacs and the other defender suddenly has more block.
I think if her S1 Healed a percentage rather than tickling someone's health bar it would be better....oh wait she's not a Healing Defender ignore this statement. Dodge is just an awful mechanic for both allies and enemies. Why am I playing slots on where or not Heavyrain/Beehunter/Flametail are not gonna die. "OMG SHE DODGED. EPIC GAMER", like no this ain't it. Nonetheless, she's a fun unit. As you mentioned, she just ignores mechanics which my smol brain enjoyed. Degenbreacher disables you-> Just use Heavyrain S2. Ando fires bouncy bullets -> Just use Heavyrain S2. Skin looks amazing.
Heavyrain perpetually looks like she needs a cup of coco, a blanket and a hug
Lore accurate

She's surprisingly tanky at E0 if you factor out S1 skills. Can tank Bloodknight Phase 2 in NL-10
why do you know this
@@syntienmerilla4602 they're the E0 gamer

@@fortidogi8620 Yeah, it removes their refraction. Lappland S2 tends to wipe them out.

hahaha Jay walking
Her vitafield skin is so nice, too bad I couldn’t get it
I used heavyrain to hide my casters when I fought degenbrecher and that's the only time I've needed her
Kyostin voice asmr is some good shit, tho
3:13 You mean making Chalter invisible to cheese the Sarkaz sentinel/caster map?
It took me half the video length to get hit with the jaye walking joke and when it hit me I got ragdolled like a tf2 scout after spy backstab

THOSE *ARE* THE TWO PROTECTORS I USE
(Cuora and Hoshi)
Heavyrain's E2 > her skin, it is once again the only reason why I will not buy her skin, I promise.
Sounds like a cope
i want heavyrains jacket
its sooooooooo coooooooooooooool
The only useful thing for her S1 is to heal up unhealable operators
I can't believe that beginning bit made me laugh. I am disappointed in myself. lmao
Her outfit is so damn tempting. I don't know if I can resist and save my OP :v
I actually forgot about her camo skill i just use the other one m3. The healing is nice for my ashlock and heavyrain blocks 4 dogs for myrtle.
Heavy rain camo might be based on “ability” vs “normal” damage
